Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild-Chapter 482 - 255: Sharing Your Burden
Watching the night from a swimming ring while enjoying the food, she really knows how to enjoy life.
Li Ang shook his head, seeing Farina raise the magic staff leaning beside her.
Due to years of adventure, even when they were resting and took off their armor, they never put the magic staff and weapons too far away.
"Go on, I’ll set off fireworks for you all."
The elder sister raised her magic staff and tossed a fireball into the sky.
The Blazing Winged Dragon perched on the edge of the treetops sensed something and spewed out some sparks.
The dragon flame sparks interlaced, merged, and exploded, instantly turning into dense sparks, forming a cluster in the sky.
She continuously waved her magic staff, throwing many fireballs into the sky, infused with magic power, about to explode in sequence.
"Wow!"
The sparks illuminated the sky, immediately catching the young girls’ attention.
Although it was common in Nebis, except for Dorothy, none of them had experienced this scene of fireworks consecutively exploding.
By adjusting the magic power within the fireballs, the resulting fireworks displayed various colors.
Zoe, who was originally competing with Andasu, momentarily forgot to chew the meat in her mouth, and the two who joined the team in the Flashing Field might have seen fireworks before but were also temporarily captivated by this splendid sky scene.
Farina’s handiwork was a specially woven low tier spell, where the shape and color of the fireworks could change, and as the red, purple, yellow, and green orbs burst open, they also transformed into various animal shapes.
Unlike usual, the fireworks today were blossoming just for them.
Li Ang’s face was illuminated in varying shades by the light from above: "It’s really nostalgic, learning this trick back then with the Wild Mage, you used it every night at camp, for a long time."
Farina smiled and said, "Exchanging a useless golden ring for this was totally worth it. It can be used for a lifetime, and when you’re old, you can pass it to the next generation."
Li Ang raised an eyebrow: "Does that mean you’ve finally considered living a normal person’s life?"
During rest at the former Soul Apex, many of the group members have always been open about their adventurous goals being to earn enough money to return home and get married, and even some girls ventured out for a stable future with their loved ones.
But Farina was always secretive about it.
Her exquisite face and that impressive... even terrifying figure always ensured she was never short of strong adventurers from the same or other sky cavalry pursuing her, but she always remained indifferent.
Li Ang only recently learned she is the Deputy of the Dragon God, which might explain those mysteries and offers a hypothesis that she dedicated her life to the Dragon God.
"Normal person? Are you talking about having children?"
Farina looked at Li Ang with a "can’t help with you" expression, a topic previously discussed among a few close friends of the group, due to her suitors often finding Li Ang, Viel, Kitan, and others, so they inevitably raised questions about her.
Even though she frequently mentioned liking brother-type characters, she was never seen to really engage with any young man.
Farina countered: "When you grow older, don’t you find your perspective towards children changes?"
"A little bit, so does that mean you want to be a mother?"
"Can’t say for sure."
Farina neither confirmed nor denied.
"Your teammates are calling you, better go."
Dorothy had been calling Li Ang from the water for a while.
With not much time left in the evening, Li Ang hadn’t even changed his clothes by the water, still wearing the long robe, so he could only let the wind cone carry him across the water to Dorothy’s location.
She lay in the swimming ring, the food on the plate almost all gone.
"Why flying so high? Come into the water."
Dorothy asked as she stuffed a potato-like vegetable into her mouth, which was now indistinguishable under the fireworks’ light from above.
Li Ang spread his hands: "I haven’t had a chance to change clothes."
"You can just take off your outerwear and come down, I don’t mind."
The Half Elf Yamei showed a smile full of implication on her face.
Before Li Ang could reply, she waved: "Come on, come into the water."
Finishing off the remaining barbecue on the plate quickly, she summoned a Demon-Born Flower Vine to carry the plate to the shore, and seeing Li Ang unresponsive, she stretched her arms towards him from the swimming ring.
Just that one gesture made Li Ang freeze in the sky.
It became apparent how powerful her choice of swimwear was.
He noticed earlier she carefully avoided revealing ones, but chose a type that perfectly showcased alluring soft curves.
Now, she lay reclined in the swimming ring, her legs propped on its edge to keep herself from falling into the water, spread open, making those soft parts appear even softer. This posture further emphasized her vulnerability, and in a moment of faltering reason, her outstretched arms for a hug almost implied she was open to anything.
"What do you mean by swimming properly?"
"Hehe."
The young girl’s cheeks blushed, teetering between youthful innocence and alluring enchantment, clearly intentional.
She tried to lift her waist again, but lacking exercise, she had no strength, falling back onto the swimming ring.
"Now, won’t you purposely not look at me?"
"To say this at this point."
"At least you’ll see more clearly coming down."
"It’s not like I haven’t seen, so..."
Dorothy pouted: "Stop bringing it up, you have no idea how many times I’ve fought that damn flower these days. Serious things aside, you can still hug me, you know."
She leaned her head back, watching the fireworks explode across the starlit sky.
