Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict-Chapter 810 - : 809 you dare to splash me all over
Chapter 810: 809 you dare to splash me all over
In front of a hotel in G City lay a long red carpet, under the colorful lights, pairs of fashionably dressed men and women stepped onto the red carpet and into the hotel.
A luxurious Aston approached from a distance, slowing to a halt.
The first to get out of the car was Mo Xiuchen, his handmade suit perfectly tailored to outline his sexy physique, his stature tall and straight, his demeanor noble and elegant, exuding a masculine allure that made one unable to extricate oneself at a glance.
He strode around the car, personally opening the door for the lady inside. Bending slightly, he extended his hand with a smile in his eyes, his thin lips parting gently to speak:
“Ranran, get out of the car.”
Inside the car, Wen Ran hesitated for a moment before placing her hand in his palm, and he immediately held it gently.
...
She got out of the car, looking up at him.
Her gaze collided with his deep and tranquil eyes, causing her heartbeat to involuntarily speed up.
Mo Xiuchen’s gaze lingered on her delicately beautiful face for a moment before moving down to her tender lips, then to her shoulders, now exposed for the first time, causing his attractive eyebrows to unknowingly furrow slightly.
“What’s wrong?”
Seeing him frown, Wen Ran also hurriedly looked down to see if there was a problem.

Tonight, she wore a red evening gown and, despite wearing only light makeup with her hair simply put up, she looked even more beautiful and sultry than usual, without losing her elegance and nobility.
The astonishment in Mo Xiuchen’s eyes upon seeing her in the gown was something she still remembered at this moment.
In fact, during the few months that she and he had been married, she hadn’t accompanied him to such a gala. Even when she attended their company’s celebration banquet, she had gone in her everyday clothes.
The reason Wen Ran agreed to come tonight was not only because of the reasons Mo Xiuchen gave that she couldn’t refuse but also because of a small personal wish of her own, since the first time she met Mo Xiuchen was at a similar event.
She hoped the familiar setting would make him remember the past.
Mo Xiuchen’s deep eyes fixated on her, his thin lips pressed together, then he gave a slight smile and softly said, “It’s nothing, let’s go in.”
What he actually wanted to say was that she looked too beautiful, and he was suddenly regretting bringing her here.
Her dress, although knee-length, still revealed a considerable expanse of skin across her chest, her shoulders as white and tender as lotus roots, making her appear more mature and alluring than usual in the red gown.
“Okay!”
Wen Ran smiled, attempting to withdraw her hand, but Mo Xiuchen kept a firm hold and even interlinked his arm with hers. This seemingly normal behavior instantly brought them closer, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and ambiguity.
As they entered the banquet hall, the host of the event immediately came forward to greet them, addressing Wen Ran as Mrs. Mo, causing a pleased curve to form on Mo Xiuchen’s lips.
Wen Ran was somewhat surprised to see the host.
The host was a not-so-significant client of the MS Group, and the event was one he was throwing for his wife. Wen Ran hadn’t expected Mo Xiuchen to attend such an event.
Clearly, it wasn’t just her who hadn’t expected it; the event’s hosts were also taken aback, evident from their thrilled and enthusiastic reaction upon seeing Mo Xiuchen.
After exchanging a few courteous words with the host, Mo Xiuchen was quickly surrounded by more people. Seeing this, Wen Ran softly said, “Mo Xiuchen, I’m going to head over there.”
“Okay!”
Mo Xiuchen said gently, “I will come to find you in a while.”
Wen Ran, holding a drink, stepped out of the hall to catch her breath outside. Suddenly, a voice called out from behind: “Miss Bai.”
The voice was somewhat familiar, but Wen Ran couldn’t quite remember who it was. Since it wasn’t calling for her, she paid it no mind and instead let her gaze fall upon a lushly blooming orchid not far away.
A breeze wafted past her nose, carrying the faint aroma of the orchid, which was quite pleasant.
“Miss Bai, what are you so engrossed in thinking about?”
Someone approached her, and that voice sounded a second time, laced with a hint of displeasure from being ignored. Startled, Wen Ran turned to look and was surprised to see Qi Meiling standing before her.
“Miss Qi?”
She asked, puzzled. What a coincidence?
Meeting here, didn’t Qi Meiling realize she had mistaken someone else for Bai?
“Miss Bai, are you surprised to see me here? I am here for my aunt’s birthday,” Qi Meiling declared with a proud look, eyeing Wen Ran intensely. When Qi Meiling noticed Wen Ran glancing at her and then quickly looking away, she smiled and asked, “Miss Bai, are you looking for Brother Haofeng? He didn’t come with me, so you probably won’t see him today.”
Wen Ran wanted to laugh; she had merely averted her gaze to avoid looking at Qi Meiling’s face, but to the latter, it seemed as if she were searching for Luo Haofeng.
She did laugh, actually, as her eyes once again met Qi Meiling’s jealousy- and arrogance-filled stare and she said with unaffected ease, “Mis Qi, you misunderstand. I just find that orchid blooming so beautifully, and looking at it brings comfort.”
“Are you saying that I am so ugly that I offend your eyes, or that looking at me makes you uncomfortable?” Qi Meiling’s face darkened. With Luo Haofeng not around, she felt no need to feign gentleness for anyone’s sake.
Just last night in City C, she had wanted to teach Bai Xiaoxiao a lesson, to make her remember that a man Qi Meiling fancied was not someone she could snatch away.
She had been stopped by Qin Mu at the time and had kept the incident in mind, intending to stay in G City for a few days after her aunt’s birthday, yet she had run into Bai Xiaoxiao so soon again.
“Miss Qi has quite the imagination, but I had no intention of comparing you with the gentleman of the flowers,” Wen Ran retorted.
“Bai Xiaoxiao, don’t think that just because Brother Haofeng likes you, you can look down on everyone. Do you think I can’t hear the barbs in your words? You say I am not fit to be compared to an orchid, do you think you yourself are worthy?”
Wen Ran felt a headache coming on; this Qi Meiling was like a mad dog.
However, she did somewhat intend that. A woman with such a two-faced nature certainly wasn’t comparable to the gentleman of the flowers.
“Bai Xiaoxiao, I warn you, stop pestering Ah Feng. Ah Feng and I are going to be engaged by the end of this year, and we plan to get married next spring. If you dare show up in front of him again, I’ll make sure you regret it,” Qi Meiling warned, glaring at the ‘Bai Xiaoxiao’ before her. The calmer she was, the more infuriated Qi Meiling became. Just the thought of Luo Haofeng liking her sent waves of anger through Qi Meiling’s heart, growing into hatred the more she thought about it. As soon as she finished speaking, she suddenly lunged forward, reaching to grab Wen Ran’s arm.
Wen Ran’s eyes narrowed slightly and she instinctively sidestepped, avoiding the grab. The drink in her cup tilted and splashed onto Qi Meiling’s chest.
“Ah!”
Qi Meiling had been intent on teaching Wen Ran a lesson and didn’t expect her to dodge. Even less did she anticipate that in addition to dodging, Wen Ran would counterattack, dousing her with the drink. She screamed, looking down at the wet stain on her front and feeling liquid trickling down her skin. Her anger surged, her voice sharp and trembling, “Bai Xiaoxiao, how dare you splash me like this?”
