Evelyn Clayton’s eyes instantly widened.

After processing, Evelyn couldn’t hide her excitement, "Is it true, Evelyn?"

"Absolutely," Evelyn replied with a smile, "What, you don’t want to go?"

May quickly responded, "No, no! I’m just so excited! I’ve never been to one of these super high-level meetings!"

Evelyn chuckled, "High-level is high-level, how come it’s super high-level?"

"We’ll definitely be meeting shareholders this time, right? Isn’t that super high-level?" May said, her expression turning mysterious, "Evelyn, are you going to disclose your relationship with Director Sinclair this time? Will you become a shareholder or a member of the board?"

Before Evelyn could respond, May exclaimed, "Then who will manage our new department in the future?"

Evelyn felt dizzy from her barrage of questions and quickly raised a hand to stop her, "Don’t ask anymore. You’ll find out when we get to the meeting."

May nodded quickly, "Oh oh, okay! I’ll go get ready then!"

With that said, May hurried out.

Evelyn prepared briefly in her office and soon received a message from Shane Sinclair.

The shareholder meeting was held internally at The Apex Group, in the massive top-floor conference room. When Evelyn arrived, she was already seeing shareholders arriving one after another.

A few young shareholders greeted Evelyn politely, and she responded openly, exchanging pleasantries before heading to her seat.

Evelyn’s seat was the second on the left side from the main position, with a nameplate that read "Shannon Sinclair." As she sat down, many eyes turned to her, each with different connotations.

Sitting behind Evelyn, May looked somewhat nervous, leaned closer, and whispered, "Evelyn, do most of these people not know you? Their eyes seem so strange..."

Evelyn smiled but said nothing for a moment.

Most of these shareholders naturally didn’t know her; over the years at Apex, she never mentioned her relationship with Shane Sinclair in front of people.

The few young shareholders who spoke to her earlier were acquainted with Shane Sinclair and Samuel Quinn, and thus knew some insiders.

"Evelyn, I’ve heard other company management will attend the meeting. When Winnie Wyatt arrives, I can’t imagine how amusing her expression will be..."

Listening to May’s barely suppressed laughter, Evelyn also found it somewhat ridiculous.

May’s words had barely settled when the conference room’s doors were pushed open again.

Silas Sinclair and Shane Sinclair walked in one after another, and right behind them was Winnie Wyatt.

Upon seeing Shane Sinclair and Silas Sinclair, all shareholders stood up in unison to welcome the two as they entered.

Shane Sinclair took the seat directly in front of Evelyn, while Silas Sinclair, as chairman, naturally took the main position. Walking in last, Winnie Wyatt seemed just to have happened to enter with them.

Upon seeing Evelyn sitting by the conference table, and so close to the front, Winnie Wyatt’s expression was hard to describe—part surprise, part discontent.

As one of the company’s top leadership, Winnie Wyatt holds a significant position within the company, but in such a setting, her seat was no different from May’s, placed against the side walls of the conference room, not even making it to the end of the long conference table.

Evelyn met Winnie’s gaze and gave her a courteous yet distant smile.

At a moment like this, there was no need for her to feign interest with Winnie Wyatt.
