Florida Man in Magus World: Unleashing Liberty and Freedom-Chapter 212: Florida Man Pays $2,500 For Chicken Bones, Claims They Are Phoenix Skeletons.
Leaving the gym, Felix and Diana made their way back to the Phoenix Pavilion.
An hour had passed since their last visit, and the bustling crowd had thinned. Most of the chosen ones had moved on to other shops or returned to their respective worlds. However, a number of onlookers still lingered, observing and gathering information.
As Diana stepped inside, the lingering gazes of male phoenix descendants immediately locked onto her. Simultaneously, female phoenixes in humanoid forms turned their attention to Felix, scrutinizing him closely. A palpable reaction rippled through the group as they caught a whiff of something unusual.
Though Felix and Diana had taken a thorough bath at the gym, their extended activities had left their bodies exuding potent pheromones. Even after hours, the scent lingered, and the sensitive noses of the phoenixes picked up the smell.
Some phoenixes scoffed in disdain as they found Diana an undesirable partner for a phoenix. Younger maidens turned red and quickly looked away, flustered by the implications. The more mature women, however, smirked knowingly, while a few middle-aged men leered at Diana.
One particularly arrogant middle-aged man, with the air of someone accustomed to being noticed, sneered as he broke the silence.
"Heh, a so-called prestige void phoenix and a lamia? What an unfortunate pairing. Your parents must be so disappointed in you. If you were my son, I would have disowned you and removed your spiritual roots!"
Felix heard it. He turned toward the man with a casual smirk and fired back.
"Oh, I see what this is. You're bitter because you can't tell. I just banged the top scorer on the last trial. Meanwhile, you're... what's the term? Ah, right… MAIDENLESS. Single, old, lonely, miserable, petty, ugly, and poor. Quite the résumé you've got there, champ."
Laughter echoed through the pavilion. Hidden clerks and even some of the other phoenix descendants struggled to stifle their amusement. The sharp jab landed like a critical hit, and the middle-aged man's face turned crimson.
While some of the onlookers grinned and muttered among themselves, others exchanged amused glances, clearly entertained by the verbal sparring. Felix, unfazed, turned to Diana with a wink and gestured for them to continue browsing, leaving the defeated man fuming.
Unfortunately, the man hadn't finished with Felix yet. He stormed over and raised his voice, "WHO ARE YOU?! WHICH FAMILY BRANCH ARE YOU FROM?! DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?! I'M SAMUEL ARIEL, A RANKER!"
Felix rolled his eyes, "A f-cking sore loser, that's who you are. Now, excuse me."
"HOLD IT!"
The man grabbed Felix's shoulder. Upon touching Felix's shoulder muscle, the man flinched.
Felix didn't budge. His current constitution was no longer as soft as a human before. After so many years under the tutelage of Singtowl, his body was refined enough to be as hard as steel.
Meanwhile, Felix calmly swatted the hand away, disregarding the fact that the middle-aged phoenix had the aura of a 9-star aura knight and 9th-circle mage.
Not giving up, Samuel invoked his power to enhance his physical force. He managed to stop Felix on his track and made him turn around.
But as Felix pulled out a pistol from his jacket and pointed at Samuel's chest, one of the shop clerks gently tapped Samuel's shoulder and yanked him. Despite the light movement, the wild middle-aged man got tossed outside the pavilion.
The female clerk brightly smiled and exuded the aura of an immortal, similar to Singtowl's aura, "No violence in the pavilion, please."
Diana, Felix, Samuel, and every chosen one sensed the overwhelming force behind her words. Their entire bodies froze on the spot.

The clerk returned her attention to Felix and Diana, resuming her business smile, "You two are top rankers of the previous round. You may enter the second floor and browse our top products there. Would you like me to show you around?"
Felix dryly laughed, "Yes, please."
"Come with me, then."
The clerk led both of them to the stairs and headed to the second floor together. Meanwhile, Samuel groaned and got up. He turned around to leave and spat.
"It doesn't matter. He's weaker than me! I'll kill him during the next quest!"
Many chosen ones and fellow phoenixes overheard the remark. Everybody frowned in disdain and disgust as Samuel was the one at fault here.
One of the female phoenixes, Rosa Ariel, was a black-haired woman in a priestess outfit. She had been observing their interaction from the second floor. She smirked, finding Samuel's action childish. Like others, she branded Samuel as an eyesore to be eliminated.
"Typical 3rd-rated villain," Rosa scoffed. Her gaze then followed Felix and Diana, who were heading to the second floor where she was. She secretly scanned them.
Unfortunately, she didn't detect a certain energy, that could only be found on her planet.
"No divine energy. Eh, lame."
Rosa lost interest in the duo. She turned her attention elsewhere.

On the second floor, glass showcases lined along the walls, displaying unique items and rare artifacts of the higher realm. Felix glanced over them and noticed that some of the items seemed to call out to him.
The immortal receptionist brought Diana and Felix to a lobby area while a group of employees arrived with a beverage cart full of cocktails, wines, liquors, and unknown drinks.
Diana ordered some cocktails and champagnes in glee. As for Felix, he seated and looked at the receptionist, wondering what she had in store.
The immortal smiled and summoned a floating system screen, which only Felix and the employees could see. The blue screen floated in front of him, displaying recommended items that Felix could purchase.
"Welcome to Phoenix Pavilion, Young Master Felix Ariel. We have prepared items and artifacts necessary for your perfect ascension. You may browse the list here. But if you need something extra, you can ask me."
Felix nodded and swiped the screen, checking the list. Five items were highlighted as they were the items Felix had to purchase eventually.
Strange chicken bone, a mass of blood, a piece of chicken meat, a chicken heart, and a black orb were on sale. However, each item had a price tag of 500 soul coins.
Felix checked his inventory. He had 626 soul coins with him. Obviously, he couldn't purchase all five necessary ingredients for his perfect ascension ritual.
As they were too expensive, Felix inquired for more information.
"I see some chicken parts here. Care to explain what they are?"
The receptionist explained, "The five items in the highlighted list are the required ascension materials. Gather these and ten upgrade crystals, and you can concoct the perfect void phoenix ascension pill, granted that you've already mastered the art of alchemy."
Felix didn't feel like he should buy anything as of yet. After all, he needed a total of 2,500 soul coins and 2,500 additional soul coins to get all 10 upgrade crystals.
Seeing Felix's expression, the employee introduced him to another option, "If you don't plan to upgrade everything at once, you can also choose to take a partial ritual. You will need to do it five times instead of eating one pill."
Felix was interested, "What do I need to do?"
"Simple," she grinned. "You consume five other phoenixes, aka your rivals!"
