Forbidden Game: Ruthless CEO, Please Set Me Free-Chapter 758 - 768: Departure (4)
The room was clearly meticulously arranged, with numerous new women’s clothes and personal items added.
Qiao Mo glanced around, then softly said to Jing Hao, "I’d like to go back to Nanshan Villa later to get my things."
"Okay, I’ll take you there."
Qiao Mo hesitated, "You should get some rest. I can go by myself."
It wasn’t that she was being stubborn; she just worried he might have conflicts with Fu Nancheng.
Though more than two years had passed, and he was a changed person now, that man still struck fear and dread.
"You’re not fully mobile, I’ll take you there," Jing Hao insisted.
Qiao Mo was silent for a moment before finally nodding.
She thought, Fu Nancheng has probably been busy accompanying Qiao Yun recently and might not be home.
Besides, he had already signed the divorce papers, even if they ran into each other by accident, there would be no ties between them anymore.
...
Jing Hao personally cooked lunch for Qiao Mo. Although she didn’t have much of an appetite, fortunately, they had been together for so long, he knew her preferences well, so Qiao Mo managed to eat a little.
Qiao Mo changed her clothes and took a short nap. Then the two of them headed to Nanshan Villa together.
The car slowly stopped at the entrance of Nanshan Villa, only to be blocked by the security guards at the gate.
Jing Hao frowned and was about to speak, but Qiao Mo had already rolled down the car window, revealing her slightly pale face.
The guard naturally recognized Qiao Mo, and was momentarily stunned upon seeing her.
"Miss... Miss Qiao..."
Qiao Mo forced a faint smile, "Is Fu Nancheng here?"
"The young master is not in."
Qiao Mo nodded, "I’m here to pick up my things. It shouldn’t take long."
The guard hesitated for a moment but then nodded and let them pass.
The staff had heard about issues between the young master and Miss Qiao, but regardless, the young master had never given any orders forbidding Miss Qiao from entering.
The car drove around the white fountain sculpture and came to a stop in front of the luxurious front doors.
Jing Hao was the first to get out and opened the car door for Qiao Mo, carefully helping her out, "Watch your step."
Qiao Mo nodded, stood in front of the car, and took in the familiar villa.
The afternoon sun was slightly intoxicating, enveloping the white cottage. The exterior was not lavish but simply clean, with lush vines climbing the walls and the occasional flower blooming. Even though it was late autumn, they still thrived, as if witnessing the stories that had unfolded here.
Qiao Mo’s gaze was somewhat dazed; the past two years felt like a fleeting dream.
Now that she was awake, everything was supposed to end.
Qiao Mo turned to Jing Hao and said, "Will you wait for me here? I’ll pack my things and come down."
Jing Hao hesitated for a moment, but after thinking, he nodded, "If there are too many things, just call me. I’ll help you bring them down once you’re done packing."
"Alright."
Since her injury hadn’t fully healed, Qiao Mo walked slowly. After stepping through the front door, she headed towards the stairs, her gaze passing over everything, including everyone present.
Nanny Wang, Uncle Zhong, and several other servants were standing by the side of the building, their eyes on her, filled with concern.
Qiao Mo gave Nanny Wang a slight smile, then looked at the butler, Uncle Zhong. He was as she had first seen him, impeccably dressed, with not a hair out of place, exuding a strong traditional British aura, still very kind and gentle.
"Please thank Fifteen for me; he saved my life."
