Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 232: We should defend the Dawn!
Celestia’s POV:
Everyone was stunned after they heard my suggestion. No one opposed me, including Darius. They knew that this was the only way we had left.
Just when I thought that they would just open a portal now and leave, Edwin paced towards me and said, "I don’t care if two Anti-Angels are against us, but I am not going to leave the side of the Dawn. I am going to stay here and protect the Dawn from that trickster—"
I was stunned by Edwin’s words. He volunteered to stand by my side when the others were scared to do so. But if he stays with me here, then his end is certain. I can’t let him do this!
"Edwin, I agree that you are courageous," I sighed. "But you are also stupid. You have no idea what he is capable of—so don’t try to be heroic now."
Edwin put off the ball of light from his palm and darkened the atmosphere around me slightly. Then he took his dagger from his leathery sheath and flashed the weapon to my face.
"Celestia, do you know what weapon this is?" he asked me.
"It is a... dagger—" I replied skeptically while wondering why he was asking me such a lame question.
"No, it is not just a dagger to me! Thousand years ago, when you made the leader of the Warrior clan, I pledged my allegiance to you with this dagger; I pledged that I will not hesitate even to sacrifice my life when I am in the pursuit of eradicating the dark forces—"
I did remember that incident! But that was an eternity ago—and he can’t risk his life now because of that.
Edwin then turned to the gang and continued with his speech. "My fellow warriors, for how long are we planning to use the Dawn as the sacrifice? No matter what crisis arrives, we all rely on her to save the day. She fell into the burning holy fire for us—just to redeem the force of light. But is this the way we should thank her for her good deeds?
All the warriors refused to make eye contact with Edwin as he continued to bash them. They all seemed to be humiliated by Edwin’s speech—but they don’t have to be. It was my duty to redeem the force of light, and I just did it; I don’t need any credit for that.
"Is it right to leave the Dawn here and go back to our lands like cowards?" Edwin went on. "That trickster humiliated the Dawn and made her sin in the sacred Chapel of the Sun God. Now he is trying to abduct her and make her his sex slave! Will the Holy Aiden ever forgive us if we let the Dawn become a sex slave for that evil Silver Shadow again?"
When Edwin paused for a moment, there was deadly silence in the air. No one dared to speak a word against them—as they were overwhelmed with guilt.
"Now answer me, my warriors! How can we exploit the honor of Dawn by offering her like a lamp to that trickster? Don’t we have to stay here and defend the Dawn for the sake of Aiden?!"
"Yes, we should defend the Dawn," Ember shouted first. Then the rest of them joined her.
"We should defend the Dawn!"
"We should defend the Dawn!"
Oh no! What has Edwin done? I know that he did this to protect me, but this is not what I need. I want my friends to be safe—but now they all have decided to risk their lives for me.

Now Darius was trying hard to come up with a strategy of rescuing Vivian from Lilin. But what I offered them was the best plan. None of them would have gotten hurt if they had followed my advice.
I sighed to myself and listened to Darius, who was explaining his strategy to the gang.
"Our first priority must be to save the Dawn. So I instruct Edwin to never leave her side no matter what happens," he said while he had his gaze on Edwin—who nodded and acknowledged him.
"And our second priority is Vivian. Four of us will go to the spot where Vivian and Laris got attacked—"
"No..... " I shouted immediately and halted Darius. " There is no way in all three realms you can battle with Lilin and survive. In the mortal world, they call taking risks like this as a suicide mission."
"Fine, Celestia," Darius lowered his hand down, but still, he had his flames on his palm. "If not me, then who is going to do this?"
I didn’t know what to say after that. The other warriors were significantly less skilled than Darius; he is the strongest one among us. If only I had my Angelic powers, I would have saved the day!

I was devastated when Darius left the spot with four other warriors. I hoped that somehow my friends would survive this. None of them should get hurt!
Silver Shadow had promised me an eternity ago that he would not hurt my friends. Will he keep up his promise now? It was stupid of me even to have hopes like this.
Edwin and Ember were standing on either side of me, and their eyes were constantly monitoring the surroundings. The other three warriors were pacing far away from me.
Approximately fifteen minutes later, I heard the growl of Darius. He seemed to be shouting out in agony. I saw this coming! I knew that he couldn’t stand a chance against the Anti-Angels.
After a while, the noise died. It was silent again. So Darius and the four others are captured too! I immediately turned to Edwin and screamed out, "This is all your fault! You manipulated them into this, and now they are captured by that trickster—"
Edwin wasn’t offended by my rage. Instead, he replied in a determined tone, "It is our choice to fight for you, Celestia! You can’t stop us from defending you! I can’t speak for others—but I have no plans to leave you until my last breath—"
