Chapter 227: Chapter 168: The Hands-Off Boss (Part 2)

Lin Ye, this guy, has always been pretty straightforward. After all, nowadays, the only thing on his mind is making money.

First thing in the morning, he’s setting up his stall. Of course, he’s thinking about staying a bit longer at the market so he can sell more items and make more money.

Fully utilizing his role as an employee.

Helping the boss make some more money so she can have a good life sooner.

After all, in his view, a good girl like Jiang Xin should be living in luxury and shouldn’t have to endure any hardship. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

So, after hearing what Jiang Xin said, he basically blurted out his response without thinking.

Besides, he didn’t know where Jiang Xin wanted to take him.

It wasn’t until after he finished speaking that his brain caught up.

He realized how Jiang Xin was rushing him to close up, even skipping a meal with him.

There was definitely something urgent going on. His brain just stalled, and he uttered those words.

By the time he realized it, it was too late to take back what he had just said.

So, he could only try to save face and said:

"Oh dear, boss, don’t laugh at me. I’ve been so focused on selling that I’ve become a bit of a fool, and just realized what’s going on."

"Where are you taking me? It must be something urgent. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have to pack up this early."

"I’ll pack up right away; give me two minutes."

After saying that, Lin Ye immediately started packing up the stall in a hurry, appearing rather flustered and somewhat comical in his rush.

Jiang Xin couldn’t help but laugh upon seeing Lin Ye’s anxious look, and she said:

"Don’t rush. Take your time to pack up. It’s just four o’clock; we’ll have plenty of time after you finish."

"Anyway, it’s not even dark yet. What are you worried about?"

With Jiang Xin’s words, Lin Ye felt much more at ease.

Once he finished packing up the stall, there was still about half a burlap sack’s worth of unsold goods.

Lin Ye carried it quite easily by himself since it was mostly lightweight, bulky stuff.

He followed Jiang Xin’s lead, and after walking for about three more minutes outside the market, they arrived at the warehouse Jiang Xin had just rented this morning.

Jiang Xin stopped at the warehouse door, and Lin Ye had a puzzled look, not knowing what Jiang Xin’s purpose was in bringing him there.

Jiang Xin pulled a key out of her pocket with a very mysterious air and said to him:

"Guess what I brought you here for today."

Lin Ye’s mind was completely blank, unable to react.

He guessed for a while but couldn’t figure it out, becoming a bit anxious.

Seeing his bewildered expression, Jiang Xin could no longer tease him and directly used the key to open the warehouse door.

While opening the door, Jiang Xin said to Lin Ye:

"Ta-da, this is the warehouse I rented this morning. I had someone help move all the goods from our market stall here earlier today."

"This way, we can take stock from here to the market to sell, saving a lot of time."

Lin Ye was completely stunned. He couldn’t imagine that Jiang Xin would directly spend so much money to rent a warehouse near the market for storing goods.

This level of extravagance was genuinely shocking to him.

However, he quickly composed himself, looking nonchalant, thinking that since Jiang Xin could already spend one hundred and twenty bucks a month to hire two employees, then the money for the warehouse should be more than enough.

If the budget wasn’t enough, Jiang Xin wouldn’t spend such a substantial amount to rent a warehouse for storing goods, as it wouldn’t be necessary.

It just made things much more convenient.

Apparently, the daily earnings from their stall were much more than he had imagined.

He truly underestimated Jiang Xin.

After all, he was kind of a local here and was very familiar with the local housing prices and rents.
