Chapter 232: Chapter 176: Wanting a Second Little Mermaid

Fei Yuan said, "King Beast Peak, I suppose."

Sang Luo was speechless. ’This guy is starting out at King Beast Peak. If I really have a child with him, who knows how terrifying their talent would be! Of course, the pregnancy definitely wouldn’t be short, either!’

After bidding farewell to Si Jing and Little Zhenzhen, Sang Luo went to the Sea Palace.

As a Flying Fire Phoenix, Fei Yuan disliked water, so he didn’t follow her this time.

Sang Luo went straight to Chengen Hall and found Little Blue Eucalyptus sleeping.

His fish tail was submerged in the pool, and his two chubby little arms were folded together. His head was resting on his hands as he slept against the edge of a stone platform, looking as adorable and exquisite as a porcelain doll.

Sang Luo tiptoed over and gently pinched his soft, pale cheek.

Still half-asleep, Little Blue Eucalyptus pouted and waved his little hands in the air twice. "Father Emperor... *sob*... stop teasing me... Mother, Mother is making me dried fish snacks..."

Stifling a laugh, Sang Luo took a crispy fried fish snack out of her storage space. The moment she raised her hand, the snack vanished.

Sang Luo turned to look at the man behind her who had stolen the snack.

He had silver hair and wore blue robes, his beauty unparalleled.

"You’re his Beast Father, and you’re stealing your own child’s snack!"

"Heh~ I like them too. Sang’er, remember to prepare some for me next time," Lou Xianyue said, walking over and sitting cross-legged beside her. "You’re here. Why didn’t you come find me first?"

"I knew you’d follow me over anyway, so there was no need to look for you."

The smell of the fish snack woke Blue Eucalyptus. He opened his eyes, and when he saw Sang Luo, his blue eyes lit up even more. "Mother!"

He stretched out his arms, and Sang Luo smilingly lifted him into her embrace. She stroked his soft blue hair and took out two palm-sized, crispy, savory fish snacks from her storage space. After Little Blue Eucalyptus finished eating, she used a handkerchief to wipe his greasy little mouth.

She took a Promotion Pill from her storage space and gave it to him to eat.

Not long after he ate it, Little Blue Eucalyptus grew noticeably drowsy and fell asleep, curled up in her arms.

Lou Xianyue saw the Spiritual Power from the seabed surging into Blue Eucalyptus’s body and instantly understood what Sang Luo had given him. He remarked sincerely, "Little An should be able to break through to the True King Rank."

"Little Blue Eucalyptus’s talent is very high. True King is just the beginning. His Cultivation will probably surpass yours in the future... What’s wrong? You don’t look very happy for a father."

"I’ll be happier than anyone if Little An can surpass me."

Lou Xianyue took her hand, brought it to his lips for a kiss, and then looked at Blue Eucalyptus in her arms with a fond gaze. "It’s good for the children to grow up quickly. Then they can spend more time by your side, and I can pass my position to him with peace of mind."

"You’re still young. Why are you in such a hurry to abdicate?" She often privately teased him about being an old fish, but she also knew that Emperor Beasts had long lifespans. Lou Xianyue was actually quite young. If he wanted to, he could remain in his position for another eighty or a hundred years without a problem.

"I..." Lou Xianyue hesitated, then looked at her face and smiled. "Sang’er, you know I don’t particularly enjoy being the Sea Emperor. Dealing with all that political administration is truly boring. I’d much rather spend my time with you and the children, or craft interesting little trinkets."

"Hmph, I could tell. You’re a father who doesn’t like to work. Little An’s burden will be much heavier in the future."

Lou Xianyue let out a soft laugh, his gaze filled with boundless affection as he looked at her.

"Sang’er, let’s have a second child."

"Alright." Sang Luo smiled sweetly. She placed the sleeping Little Blue Eucalyptus into the water, then stepped forward, wrapped her arms around his neck, and offered him a fragrant kiss.

He wrapped an arm around her waist, lowered his head, and kissed her more deeply and passionately.

Soon, both of their breaths grew heated, and Lou Xianyue swept her into his arms and carried her directly to his bedchamber.

Five days later, Sang Luo finally returned from the Sea King Palace. She touched her stomach, feeling a little regretful that she still hadn’t gotten pregnant.

She hadn’t gotten pregnant when she was with Si Ye, either.

’It was so easy to conceive the first child with both of these Beast Husbands, but a second child seems to be much more difficult. I wonder why,’ she thought.

Sang Luo looked at the three Elixirs remaining in her hand. Two of them were for her little snakelet, but she harbored resentment toward Caesar. He would definitely find out if she tried to deliver the Elixirs to the little one, and she didn’t particularly want to enter the Southern region again for the time being.

Sang Luo returned to the Central region to find Fei Yuan.

She had originally planned to ask if he could have someone deliver the Elixirs for her, but she unexpectedly heard a piece of news— 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

The Southern Beast Emperor had not been in the Imperial Palace since the banquet ended, and he had delegated all administrative duties to his subordinates.

According to the Beastmen in the Imperial Palace, he hadn’t made an appearance recently. It was as if he had vanished into thin air, disappearing without a trace.

"Could he have returned to the Void Demon Realm?"

Sang Luo had heard some rumors about the Void Demon Realm from Fei Yuan before.

The Void Demon Realm was another, sealed world connected to the Beast World, but the two realms were in opposition.

The gates between the two realms had long been sealed. Aside from a very small number of escaped Demon Clan members who roamed the Beast World, the rest of the Demon Clan was sealed within the Void Demon Realm, unable to ever leave.

Fei Yuan nodded. "It’s possible. He was formerly a Beastman, so he’s likely a special case among the Demon Clan, able to travel between the two realms."

Sang Luo had no choice but to put the two Elixirs away. ’I’ll give them to Little Snake later if I get the chance to see him again,’ she resolved.

That left one final Elixir.

It was for her little lion cub.

Sang Luo hadn’t seen her little lion cub since leaving the Western Continent. The child’s eyes hadn’t even been open when he was born, so he probably didn’t recognize her at all.

Nearly two years had passed. She wondered if Duotu had remarried and found a new Queen to be a stepmother for the cub.

Regardless, Sang Luo still wanted to see her little lion cub and find out what he looked like now.

Sang Luo had a Talent Ability for evasion and concealment. She didn’t use it much for fighting, but it worked quite well as an Invisibility Technique, perfectly concealing even her aura. Beastmen of a lower Level than her couldn’t detect her.

Her strength should be greater than Duotu’s now, so she wasn’t worried about being seen by him.

After an absence of nearly two years, Sang Luo once again set foot on the Western Continent.

The sight before her—bustling traffic, towering skyscrapers, and a kaleidoscope of lights and shadows—was both familiar and strange. It was a completely different scene from the Eastern Continent, almost making her feel as if she had traveled to another world.

"When it comes to new and interesting things, the Western Continent has more than the Eastern Continent," she commented.

Fei Yuan was noncommittal. "I’ve been to the Western Continent a few times before, but to be honest, I don’t really like it here. The Spiritual Energy on this continent is nearly depleted, and there are too few Cultivation Resources."

"The Western Continent is very technologically advanced. Even if they don’t follow the path of Cultivation in the future, the Beastmen here will still be able to live very well."

"Most Innate King Beasts are descendants of Void Beasts from millions of years ago. As for ordinary High Rank Beastmen, the reason they can master their Talent Powers and undergo a second evolution from their mortal forms is because they rely on this land’s Spiritual Energy and abundant Cultivation Resources," Fei Yuan explained. "If the Spiritual Energy were to one day be exhausted, the Western Continent would likely be the first to revert to a Mortal World."

Sang Luo nodded. The Eastern and Western Continents had chosen two different evolutionary paths. One dedicated more of its resources to external objects, which were then used to serve themselves. The other walked a more arduous path, refining resources into their own personal power.

Neither path was inherently superior or inferior.

She had lived quite well in both places.

Sang Luo said to Fei Yuan, "I’m going back to the Beast King Palace for a bit. I’ll be right back. Just find a place in the city to rest for a while."
