Galaxy Fall: All My Skills Are Maxed-Chapter 105: WHAT?!!!
Carl stood upright, ready. He swallowed his anxiety, accepting his role as the team’s invisible scout.
"Now, the eighth! You all know him, he is big and strong. The strongest Knight in our academy with his iron shield defense! He is Kent!!" Hayatobi smiled, his booming voice echoing off the obsidian pillars.
Kent slowly rose, his massive frame casting a shadow over the row behind him. Kent was indeed strong... Having the raw physical power and defensive skills to block Austin and Aurelia’s combined attacks was undeniable proof of his worth, even if he still lost that battle in the end. He was the ultimate vanguard, a walking fortress.
"He also earned the right to join the second team in the second round. Yes, he isn’t that fast, but his job is to protect the team. I am sure he can achieve that," Hayatobi said, and exhaled, his expression turning deathly serious as he prepared to drop the heaviest names on the roster.
"For the last two."
Everyone in the hall snapped their heads to the two monsters of the academy, sitting with flat expressions like nothing happening around them mattered.
"Hitachi Azul and Mirabella Sunny."
The whole student body froze, the ambient chatter dying instantly as the two slowly stood up. The pressure in the room visibly shifted.
"Hitachi and Mirabella don’t need introduction... And take note, they won’t be fighting that much, they are in the team to help secure victory... I plan to keep their strength hidden still the fourth round upward..." He turned to the two, a silent warning passing between Master and students.
"I hope you guys understand what I mean... Don’t use your trump cards until the fourth rank, I am sure you can do that." He said, staring at them, silently pleading with them not to obliterate the playing field too early and expose the Dragon Empire’s true depth.
"Sure." Hitachi nodded his head, his crimson Celestial Eyes flashing briefly before dimming.
"All my attacks are my trump cards," Mirabella said calmly. She wasn’t being arrogant or trying to be difficult. With her System’s attack multipliers and her frighteningly dense reserves of spirit energy, even a basic strike from her was catastrophic. Holding back was actually harder than fighting.
Hayatobi nodded, accepting her terrifying logic. "These are the ten who will participate in the first round, and the five that will partake in the second... You ten understand, right?"
The ten selected elites nodded their heads in unison.
"Good, have your seats, let’s continue."
With that, they all sat back down. Hayatobi waited for a moment, letting the adrenaline in the hall settle, before finally speaking again.
"Now!! The third round of glory flag competition!" He moved his gaze over everyone present, sweeping across the 250 faces that represented the future of their empire.
"All of you, 250 of you will participate in the match..."
The students looked at one another, then at Hayatobi, bracing themselves.
"Countless teleportation runes will be created in a newly infested world called Earth! And then, all of you will be scattered all over the planet... You heard me, all over the planet! Scattered!"
".....?!!"
Everyone was shocked. But for those who originally came from Earth—like Mirabella, Carl, Kent, Grace, and the others—the revelation hit like a physical blow. They were stunned. This was their first chance to return to their home world since Galaxy Fall had ripped them away. But the joy was quickly overshadowed by dread: what were they going to do there in the middle of a planetary infestation?
"I know your questions!" Hayatobi raised his hand, silencing the erupting murmurs.
"The third round is all about hunt! You are all given one simple task, kill as many enemies as you can... And note, you aren’t allowed to kill non-affected civilians, or ordinary animals! Your only task is to kill monsters! If you failed this one task, the academy will lose 10,000 points per each mistaken kill! Oh, and you can’t kill and expect to escape with it. Take note of this." He said, tapping the side of his head to remind them that the System was always watching.
The students nodded their heads, absorbing the heavy penalty rules, and Hayatobi continued:
"Killing other academy students is not allowed here, you will also lose points by doing this, but only 5,000 points!! Listen all of you... If someone from any of the other two academies want to kill you! Don’t hold back, make sure to kill them! Do you understand!! Your lives are more important than mere five thousand points!!"
"Wow. I didn’t know we are this important," a student said with a small, nervous smile, clearly unaccustomed to the academy prioritizing their lives over point deductions.
"Of course, we are important, what do you think?" a lady yelled at the guy, though her hands were shaking.
"I can’t just wait to see earth again. But the main trouble is where would we be teleported to?" Ken said, lost in thought, realizing that randomly dropping into the middle of an ocean or an active volcano on a corrupted Earth was a very real possibility.
"Now! For the fourth round! This is a battle Royale! Those whose points are above 100,000 in the third round, will be placed together in this round. The last academy student or students who stand till the very end wins!" He gave a genuine smile, the prospect of an all-out brawl appealing to his warrior sensibilities.
"The fourth round will take place in a simulation, meaning, no one can die in there... And the fifth. Well, that’s for the students to test your strength." He moved his gaze from Mirabella to Hitachi, then out at the rest of the elites.
"The Emperors will be given this right... You will know everything about this round when the time is right... For now, just start training, especially the ten I mentioned."
Hayatobi finally concluded his speech; then paused, letting a heavy, pregnant silence fall over the hall. He stared at the students, his aura shifting into something absolute and commanding.
"Listen up... Hitachi and Mirabella are now my personal students, so know how to interact with them in the future! Oh! And Hitachi is the Leader of the academy team."
"What?!!!"
Everyone was shocked in place. The collective gasp sucked the air from the room. They stared at Hayatobi in absolute disbelief, then slowly turned their heads to look at the two monsters sitting calmly in their seats. The social hierarchy of the Dragon Academy hadn’t just been shifted; it had been entirely shattered and remade in the span of a single sentence.
