Chapter 126: Infinite Celestial Guardians

"So... Instead of you standing here and lecturing me on morality, why not be one with me, and end all this?" she asked, her tone steady, treating the supernatural entity like a stubborn business associate.

"With what you just said, you don’t care how others feel about you, and you willingly accepted all emotions, including the darkness... Then you seal them away in a vault," the entity stated, summarizing her complex psychological defenses.

"You can put it exactly like that," Mirabella said with a cold, confident smirk.

"So tell me, what is the fundamental difference between you and the heartless demons you seek to destroy?" the Darkness asked, staring at her, genuinely trying to understand the paradox standing before her.

"There is only one difference."

Mirabella raised Sunder with her right hand. She then placed her bare left hand on the blade’s razor-sharp, spiritual surface and dragged her hand forcefully downward, deeply cutting her palm. She didn’t flinch. She then stretched forth her bleeding hand towards the Darkness, as bright red blood flowed out, a stark contrast to the monochrome environment.

"I am a human, they are demons... That is the only difference that matters," she said flatly.

The Darkness narrowed its void-like eyes, searching for a lie but finding none. "So if anyone close to you, like, Carl, Grace, or even your loyal Elizabeth died right now, you would feel absolutely nothing?"

"Were you asleep from the start of this conversation?" Mirabella asked with a deep frown, annoyed by the repetition.

"They are my highly valued partners. I will surely feel incredibly disappointed at the loss of such assets."

"Disappointed?" The Darkness shook its head lightly, a gesture of profound disbelief.

"And I thought I was the darkness in your heart... It seems you have already fully accepted me. You knew I have been there all along, and instead of stopping me or purging me, you started actively nurturing me. You are one crazy human," the Darkness said, its form finally beginning to destabilize and shatter into thick black smoke.

"I will merge with you, and I will watch... One day, the walls will break, and you will know what true emotions feel like again... I will be watching."

The smoke said its final piece and shattered all over the desolate place, disappearing completely from sight, leaving behind only the cold wind.

{Ding!}

Mirabella raised her head to the familiar blue system screen, then turned her gaze back to the spot where the Darkness had stood. As she watched, the dead, black field slowly turned a vibrant, living green, and the healing light spread rapidly all over the corrupted island.

’Just make sure this darkness doesn’t completely consume you,’ she heard the Darkness’s fading voice echo in her mind.

Mirabella chuckled lightly. "It won’t... That is an absolute promise. Even if a day comes when I finally open up, the darkness will never control me." She clenched her left hand tightly. The deep cut had already healed without a scar. She stared up at the system screen, ready for her reward.

{Congratulations, Host has successfully gained a new skill.}

{Skill: Celestial Guardians. Rank: God Rank.}

Mirabella froze. Her eyes went wide. This wasn’t a Legendary skill. Although it was obtained from a Legendary scroll, the skill itself had bypassed the system’s tier limits and registered as a God Rank skill... In her entire current and past arsenal, only the Imperial Bloodline possessed such an impossible rank. Now she had gained another.

{Celestial Guardians description: Summon one completely invisible guardian clone which possesses the strength, speed, and agility of a Lv300 All-Bloodlines entity. No Spirit energy is needed to sustain it. Note: Anyone below Lv300 cannot see the clone, sense its aura, or physically block its attacks. Maximum clone distance from Host: 30 Meters.}

"What?!!! This is a completely overpowered skill!!" Mirabella exclaimed in genuine shock, staring at the system. A silent, invisible, max-level bodyguard that cost zero spirit energy. It was the ultimate assassination and defense tool.

{Imperial Bloodline has been automatically activated.}

{Due to the overwhelming strength of the new skill, current defensive skills: Automatic Repellent and Retraction have been forcefully fused into Celestial Guardians.}

"Huh? That’s possible?" Mirabella was dumbfounded. Automatic Repellent was a highly valuable, passive defensive skill that could forcefully repel any physical or magical attack from anyone below the God Rank level. Now, the System was merging it with the new guardian.

While Retraction was the spatial pulling skill she had flawlessly copied from Rose during the brutal training ground assessment.

{Infinite Celestial Guardians description MAXED: Summon ten completely invisible guardian clones which possess the strength, speed, and agility of a Lv500 All-Bloodlines entity. No Spirit energy is needed. Note: Anyone below Lv500 cannot see the clones, sense their auras, or physically block their attacks. Maximum clone distance from Host: 500 Meters.}

{New integrated ability: Clones can passively or actively repel and attract all physical and magical objects within range.}

"Lv500... This is even more overpowered than I could have ever imagined... I can’t wait to test this out," she breathed out, her mind racing with tactical possibilities. She blinked, realizing a crucial detail.

"Wait, the system previously said this skill operates on its own will and sentience... It only means, they are already manifested around me."

She actively focused her mind on the new skill connection, and her vision shifted. She instantly saw ten perfectly identical, translucent clones of herself, standing silently around her in an impenetrable defensive circle. They were watching her, waiting for a command, or simply waiting to protect her.

"Wow... This is absolutely incredible. I will have to test this out in the real world immediately," she thought. She turned her attention back to the floating blue system interface.

"Hey! How can I get out of this Soul Sea?"

{It is entirely up to you, Host. Just will it.}

Mirabella blinked, understanding the mechanism, and then simply closed her eyes, pulling her consciousness back to reality.

[Back In The Room.]

The evening had settled over the elite student housing.

"What should we do?" Elizabeth asked worriedly, pacing nervously. She was staring down at the seemingly comatose Mirabella, who was placed carefully on the soft velvet couch. The black smoke had vanished, leaving no trace of what had just occurred.

"Maybe we should..."

Cupcake, perched on the edge of the couch, raised her small, white paw. She dropped her hand, aiming a sharp, calculated slap directly at Mirabella’s face to forcefully wake her master from the unnatural sleep.

"What are you doing?!" Elizabeth was stunned by the beast’s audacity.

And the next moment.

BAM!!

".....?!!!"
