Chapter 128: Hell Gate Dungeon

Mirabella stared at her, not saying a single word.

’As long as you’re 500 meters before me, you are completely at the mercy of my guardians,’ she thought, visualizing the massive, invisible dome of absolute control she now commanded. She stared down at Elizabeth, who was struggling to comprehend the invisible force that had just routed her clones.

"Should I attack?" she asked, her voice calm and detached.

Elizabeth stared back at her, wiping the dust from her clothes, and stubbornly grabbed her broadsword with both hands, bracing her stance. "Sure, come on."

"Ok then."

BAM!!

A single, invisible punch smashed directly into Elizabeth’s face with the force of a battering ram, throwing her violently backward through the air. She smashed heavily into the reinforced boundary wall of the arena and vomited a mouthful of warm blood onto the stone.

’Huh? Even when I actively deactivated my damage multiplier, the raw base attack force of a Lv500 Guardian sure is terrifying,’ Mirabella thought, analyzing the physical output of her phantom sentinels. She waved her hand dismissively at the crumbling wall, calling the Guardian off.

"This training is boring. I will be going to a dungeon... Cupcake, you don’t have to attack. Come with me," she said, casually walking towards Elizabeth, who sat slumped on the ground, blood freely flowing from her nose and lips.

’I need to check if my personal damage multiplier buffs actually work on the Guardians. If that works... I will be truly unstoppable,’ her mind raced with the tactical implications. If she could amplify a Lv500 base stat with her system’s multipliers, she could break the fundamental power scaling of the world.

She stopped in front of the battered maid, crouched down, and placed her glowing palm gently on Elizabeth’s shoulder. A warm, emerald light washed over the girl, and she immediately started healing her internal injuries and fractured bones.

"It seems I went overboard," Mirabella said simply, staring down at Elizabeth, who slowly looked up at her through bruised eyes.

"What did you use? I didn’t feel any trace of spirit energy from you. Then, how did you attack me?" she asked, her voice raspy but filled with absolute awe rather than anger.

"Well, I gained a new skill," Mirabella answered vaguely.

"So that darkness...?"

Mirabella nodded slowly, not going into the terrifying details of her Soul Sea or the sentient entity that now resided within her.

"That is good... I am truly lucky having to serve you," Elizabeth said with a genuine, blood-stained smile, completely unbothered about the brutal beating that had just occurred. In the harsh reality of the Dragon Empire, serving absolute power was the highest honor. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

Mirabella stared at her for some seconds, slightly taken aback by the sheer, unwavering loyalty, and nodded her head. "Sure."

After two minutes of channeled healing, she stood up. "Done... You should go back home and rest. I will be going to the Dungeon Hall."

"Dungeon Hall?!" Elizabeth stood up in shock, dusting off her skirt, all her physical injuries completely healed.

"Miss, please, you are going on a high-stakes Mission tomorrow with Lady Yakima. You need to rest and gather your energy."

Mirabella shook her head, holding out her arm as Cupcake gracefully leaped and landed securely on her shoulder. "I am off."

She said the words, and before Elizabeth could even formulate another argument, Mirabella’s figure blurred and vanished from the training ground entirely, taking Cupcake with her.

"Huh?" Elizabeth sighed heavily into the empty arena, dropping her broadsword, and stared down at her trembling hands.

"What just happened?" she thought, the phantom impact of that invisible, god-like punch still echoing in her mind.

[Dragon Empire Academy - Dungeon Hall]

The Dungeon Hall was a massive, cavernous structure built around ancient spacial rifts. Despite the late hour, the magical hum of the teleportation arrays kept the area vibrant.

"Welcome, it’s a surprise seeing so many students here by this time," the front desk receptionist said with a polite, professional smile, staring at Mirabella, who abruptly stopped before the polished obsidian desk.

"Miss Mirabella, Lord Hayatobi’s elite student, right?" she asked, instantly recognizing the girl who had turned the academy upside down earlier that day.

"I am here for the strongest Dungeon," Mirabella got straight to the point, her gaze bypassing the receptionist to stare intensely at the main gate behind the desk. Out of all the lesser dungeon portals present in the hall, the massive, rune-carved gateway before her was the only Master Gate—an anomaly that could be artificially altered to connect to any registered spatial dungeon in the empire’s vast archives.

"Hold on, let me check," the receptionist said, slightly taken aback by the blunt request, and started rapidly tapping on her holographic keyboard.

"Wait, isn’t that Mirabella?" a nearby student asked in hushed surprise, nudging his friend.

"Why is she here? All the Invincible Five are currently resting in their quarters... Well, that’s what I heard, especially after that brutal training session," another whispered, staring at Mirabella’s unbothered posture.

"Maybe she is here to train in secret," a third added, watching her with a mix of fear and respect.

"Found one."

The receptionist tapped the final ’enter’ rune, and the holographic screen rotated towards Mirabella, glowing an ominous crimson.

"Hell Gate."

Mirabella muttered the name of the dungeon, holding her cheek in thought. ’I haven’t heard of such a dungeon before in my past life...’ she thought, her curiosity peaking.

"Is this the most dangerous?" she asked.

"Yes, as the imperial data says, the weakest monster wandering in here is a Lv100, and the strongest, which is the Realm Boss, is a Lv500... This dungeon doesn’t have standard variable difficulties, only one locked setting. Which is Hell Abyssal." She looked up at Mirabella, her expression turning incredibly grave.

"Normally, no student is ever allowed in there; it is a completely restricted and strictly forbidden zone. But Lord Hayatobi left explicit orders that we should grant you unrestricted access to all spatial dungeons." She paused, taking a breath to emphasize her next point.

"And, about this specific dungeon... There is a huge, anomalous gate suspended in the sky above the terrain, which real Demons can use to enter the realm... No one has ever entered this sky gate and returned alive to tell the tale, so no matter what happens in there, please, strictly avoid that area and don’t enter."

Mirabella stared at the terrified receptionist, processing the lethal warning, and simply nodded her head. "Sure."

She reached into her pocket, brought out a small, wrapped candy, and casually popped it into her mouth. "Activate the dungeon, I am in a hurry," she added, her voice muffled slightly by the sweet.

’Demons...’ she thought, a cold thrill running through her veins. ’This is the perfect opportunity to rapidly rank up my new Military Cadet badge. I will make sure to completely clear this dungeon.’

"Ok, Miss Mirabella, just a minute."
