Chapter 159: Chapter 159: The Skyforge Empire’s Treasure, God of the Hurricane

Whoosh!

The wind howled, and a powerful presence appeared.

"Human, this place is not for you. Leave now!" The voice echoed through the whole space.

Shieldback Dragon Turtle and Obsidian Wraith were terrified. They stood by George’s side, watching the area carefully.

George knew, this was the God of the Hurricane.

He pointed at a big stone tablet ahead and asked, "You’re the guardian of this Fundamental Power, right?"

"Yes," the God of the Hurricane said without hiding. "But you’re not from the Skyforge Empire."

George tried to persuade him. "The Skyforge Empire has been gone for thousands of years. We don’t even know if any of them survived. You won’t be waiting forever. This Fundamental Power was meant to fight the demon race. Why not give it to me?"

"Human, I don’t want to kill you. Leave now." The God of the Hurricane didn’t want to talk. A strong wind blew, trying to pull George and his team away.

But their bodies stayed still.

George got impatient. "If you really want to avenge the Skyforge Empire, become my servant. I can help you."

"Foolish dream. If you won’t listen, then stay here." The God of the Hurricane got angry. Wind swirled, and a figure appeared in the center of the storm. He wore blue armor, was tall and strong, and held a long silver staff.

Whoosh!

The wind howled, and the space rippled with invisible wind blades.

"Back!" George warned the Shieldback Dragon Turtle and Obsidian Wraith. He stepped forward, fists swinging, hitting the invisible blades.

Boom! Boom!

The hits were loud. George’s hands hurt, even with the Sacred Dragon Gauntlet protecting them.

A divine being was not to be taken lightly. Even in a weak state, the God of the Hurricane was far stronger than Constantine and the others.

But George wasn’t scared. He used his Fundamental Power, moved through the blades, and reached the God of the Hurricane.

Boom!

A straightforward punch hit the God of the Hurricane, sending him flying back and crashing into the wall.

"Fundamental Power? You’re the guardian!"

The God of the Hurricane was shocked, staring at George in disbelief.

"You actually know about guardians?"

George was surprised, but his attack didn’t stop.

"Wait, we can talk." The God of the Hurricane quickly said, moving back, creating distance.

George didn’t waste words. "I still say the same thing. Give me this Fundamental Power, and become my servant."

The God of the Hurricane stayed silent for a long time before speaking. "What’s in it for me?"

What’s in it for me?

George said, "I can help you get strong again. I can take you out of here. If any survivors of the Skyforge Empire are still alive, I can give them a better place to live."

"Why should I trust you?" The God of the Hurricane sneered. "If I’m right, your world is already under attack by the demon race. I’ve seen those Shadow monsters. The strength of the guardian can’t stop them."

"If I add the World Will, then?" George really wanted to take Earth’s Will.

"World Will?" The God of the Hurricane snorted coldly. "Kid, do you really think the World Will will protect your world? They’re not real life. The fate of the world doesn’t matter to them. When danger comes, they run first."

"Run away?" George didn’t understand. "Isn’t it because the World Will’s strength was weakened that the demon race strong ones came in large numbers?"

The God of the Hurricane laughed in self-mockery. "You were tricked. We were all tricked. The World Will isn’t protecting the world at all. If I’m right, your World Will has already contacted the demon race. Maybe it even joined them."

"Impossible!" George didn’t believe it, but his mind was shaking a little.

He couldn’t help but remember the pressure he felt when he first got the Fundamental Power and arrived on Earth.

Earth’s Will should have felt everything in his heart.

But if that was true, why did Earth’s Will choose him as its guardian in the first place?

"Is the guardian controlled by the World Will?" George thought of something and quickly asked.

The God of the Hurricane explained, "No, but it can take away your strength whenever it wants. When the Skyforge World was destroyed, I clearly felt the World Will running away. The Fundamental Power I controlled was taken back. But I managed to seal a part of it at the end."

George didn’t understand. If the World Will couldn’t control the guardian, why did Earth’s Will choose him?

And Earth’s Will had already sensed his hostility. It should have killed him, not let him live.

That guy wasn’t even a match for him!

George suddenly realized, and mentally cursed, "Damn, I got played!"

He should have tried to take over Earth’s Will without hesitation.

George looked at the God of the Hurricane. He still had one Taming slot left. He was wondering whether to save it for this guy or Earth’s World Will.

First, he’d take this guy. Then he’d take Earth’s World Will.

"I feel a special strength from you. It makes me want to obey you. What’s your job?" The God of the Hurricane asked coldly. George’s stare made him uncomfortable.

"I don’t even know what my exact job is. But they all say I’m the Oathweaver."

George said calmly. He really didn’t know his exact job.

"The Oathweaver? That job actually exists?" The God of the Hurricane was shocked.

"Do you know about it? Is there something special about this job?" George had heard people mention the Oathweaver many times before. But his job was Keeper, not the Oathweaver.

The God of the Hurricane looked at him for a long time before saying, "I don’t know exactly what the job is. But there’s a legend. The Oathweaver is the strongest job. It can control a whole world."

Control a whole world?

George was confused. He didn’t have that power, or at least his Keeper job had nothing to do with the Oathweaver.

He didn’t want to think about it. He asked, "Can you be my servant now?"

"If I refuse, will you kill me?" The God of the Hurricane asked back.

George nodded.

"Okay... maybe it’s fate. I wanted to give this Fundamental Power to the descendants of Skyforge Empire. It seems this is your chance." The God of the Hurricane sighed in defeat and finally gave in.

"I have one question," George asked, still confused. "I can feel this Fundamental Power is strong. Why didn’t you take it yourself?"

"You don’t know?" The God of the Hurricane looked at him in surprise. "There’s a level limit for understanding Fundamental Power. You got this one at a low level, probably around 50. This one is too strong. If you’re over 70, you can’t understand it."

Oh, I see.

George finally understood. He really did have a level limit for getting the Fundamental Power from the Black Stone Realm.

Good thing he hadn’t leveled up too much, or he wouldn’t have been able to get this one.

"Be my servant, and I promise to help the surviving people of the Skyforge Empire find a safe place to live," George said, thinking of the Abyss Realm. It was dangerous, but compared to the wasteland of the Chaos Battlefield, it was a paradise.

The God of the Hurricane hesitated for a moment, then nodded and agreed.

[Successfully Tamed the ninth pet. Four basic stats +10,000]

[God of the Hurricane’s power is restored. You now master the wind element. Learn the forbidden spell: Spatial Rend Slash]

[Sky Knight Melina’s stage breakthrough, SSS tier, promoted to False God]

[You gain Strength Reciprocation. Four basic stats +10,000 each]

...

The messages flashed. George’s pets got a huge boost, and Melina had successfully broken through to False God. He also got Strength Reciprocation, with each of his four main stats increasing by 10,000 points.

Now, only Obsidian Wraith and Shieldback Dragon Turtle hadn’t broken through to False God yet, but they were close.

He also unlocked a new forbidden spell: Spatial Rend Slash, a wind-based spell that slashes through space and deals devastating damage to enemies.

"Master!" The God of the Hurricane felt his injuries heal and his power rise. He bowed to the ground.

George nodded in satisfaction and asked, "Where is the Fundamental Power here? How do I get it?"

The God of the Hurricane pointed to a Stone Tablet nearby and explained, "That’s the Stone Tablet, Master. You already have Fundamental Power, so absorbing this one is no problem."

George didn’t waste words. He walked over, sat cross-legged, and started to absorb the Fundamental Power.

The God of the Hurricane and others stood quietly nearby, guarding him.

George clearly felt the powerful Fundamental Power on the Stone Tablet. It also contained Wind Element energy.

Each world’s Fundamental Power must be different.

He focused and started to feel it deeply.

Time passed. Without realizing it, a week had gone by.

The calm space suddenly became stormy. The space started to tear and collapse, with endless spatial turbulence swirling around.

George had completely absorbed the Fundamental Power. The space couldn’t hold it anymore and started to collapse.

Obsidian Wraith had been through this before, so he wasn’t surprised. He quickly moved close to George, avoiding being pulled into the spatial turbulence.

Shieldback Dragon Turtle and the God of the Hurricane knew how dangerous the turbulence was. One had strong defense, the other was a divine being, but even they couldn’t stop the turbulence. They both moved to George’s side.

"Master, you’re awake," the God of the Hurricane said, surprised.

George smiled and nodded. He looked around at the approaching spatial turbulence and didn’t say anything. He stood up, raised his mind, and led them out of the space.

The wind howled, sand filled the sky, and a massive vortex appeared in the distance, swallowing everything around it.

It wasn’t a tornado. It was a spatial rift.

This was where the Skyforge Empire’s treasure was.

The God of the Hurricane saw the scene and felt a little sad. This was the last remaining trace of the Skyforge World. But at least the Fundamental Power had found a successor.
