"S-Sir... The Clark Group Headquarters has been seized by the Guards!" shouted a man in the distance, causing Alexander to tremble, not only from the fear of seeing Elliot in front of him again, but also from the fact that all his misdeeds had come to light.
Despite the downpour, everyone could hear him clearly.
The guards taking over his group's headquarters... it was a situation that made more than one person tremble.
Because of this, several of them died in a few moves. But the main leaders put up a good fight.
The second clash of swords between Elliot and Alexander created a large crater beneath them, breaking the asphalt.
But with the third clash of swords, Alexander couldn't withstand the impact.
His arms trembled from the powerful force of the attack, and he ended up flying dramatically backwards until he hit the wall of the Clark mansion.
He was embedded in the wall, with intense pain in his back.
Elliot came to his side, sticking the sword into the wall, which caught Alexander's attention.
"Adamantium..." he said. "Where did you get such a valuable treasure, you little bastard?" he asked, gritting his teeth.
He was clearly stronger than Elliot, but his sword far surpassed him. His first sword was shattered. His second sword... luckily, it hadn't broken yet, perhaps because Elliot was attacking him more directly.
Elliot sneered.
"You never imagined you'd be in a situation like this, did you?" he asked, looking up and signaling to all the summonses to start killing every member of the Clark family.
The abilities were activated, allowing the Basilisk to leap forward and destroy a portion of the mansion with its weight.
"The Clarks aren't as powerful as I thought, or should I say that I've become much stronger?" he said, feeling slightly disappointed by the clear weakness of these guys.
Several of them were relatively powerful. Masters with 90 Stat Points.
One had 98 points, the Secretary of Government, but despite that, most of them were old.
Roy was over 75 years old. The Secretary of Government was over 50.
There were some in their 80s, with one foot in the grave, and others, the youngest, were still in their 45s and 50s.
Although there was no age limit for strengthening, it was clear that the years took their toll with the deterioration of your body.
It was difficult for those old farts to withstand Andrew's hammer, and this time Jenna was attacking with even more ferocity. Even though she wasn't showing off her new abilities or using her shadow for anything, she was still powerful enough to fight people with levels above her own.
Besides, right now they weren't restricted by the rules of the system. They were powerful young people with powerful classes, and they were out to kill.
It didn't matter if their opponent had more power than them; when the difference wasn't as great as it was this time, they would have a certain advantage.
Clearly, Elliot had good backup behind him, not counting Chris and Rich, who were fighting spectacularly well.
Better than Elliot would have expected. They had killed several and were now fighting the leader of Broken Leaf, managing to hold their own, even managing to wound him in a short time. Here they demonstrated their true strength, when they were not restricted by the rules of the arena.
Besides, Elliot had seen it: Steward was helping them from behind. There were Angelic troops infiltrating and wreaking havoc, and they weren't weak.
The backup was strong enough for him to taunt Alexander, who looked at him with hatred.
"Do you intend to destroy the family?" he asked.
"What do you think? If I had poison in my hands, I would spread it throughout the Clark mansion, just so that not one of you would be left alive. But don't worry, the result will be the same. You are already surrounded. You are going to die," he said.
"You... don't know who you're messing with." Alexander quickly pulled his arm back and swung at Elliot. He took advantage of the moment to pull his whole body away from the wall and summoned a new sword, but Elliot had anticipated this.
He spun smoothly to dodge the first blow and then kicked him hard in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him.
Alexander arched forward slightly in pain, which Elliot used to deliver a hard blow to his neck and send him to the ground.
Then, his sword pierced his chest with smooth power.
"Altarcitus, right? I know you well. Those damn bastards have been running wild lately, but it looks like they're biting off more than they can chew." He sneered.
"Do you know about them?" Alexander tried to strike again, but it was in vain. The power of that sword was too great, and his body suddenly went numb, trembling on the ground.
"What the hell is this? How can this bastard have so many things? And why the hell aren't the troops rushing in?!" He complained inwardly.
"I also know that you are not the main orchestrator of all our suffering, you are nothing more than a miserable pawn dancing in the palm of a traitor's hand."
His clear mockery made Alexander endure the pain and look at him. "If you know that... Why the hell are you torturing me? You must know that...!"
Elliot punched him in the mouth, hard enough to break several teeth, but Alexander still endured the pain and did not scream.
"All Clarks owe me a debt. Not only did you kill my family and sell my father, you also raped my mother and sister. That is unforgivable." He sneered again. "Besides, you call this torture? You're lucky I can't really torture you, due to lack of time! If you're still alive, it's because I have a question for you." He said and pulled his ear up.
"Tell me, where is that damn old man I once called grandfather? I know he's alive."
At that moment, Alexander finally reacted, trembling slightly and looking up sharply at Elliot. "You..." 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"No need for stupid questions. Where is he?" He squeezed the sword a little tighter, making him groan in pain.
"Bastard... don't even think... I'll tell you!"
"Heh. Fine. Then I'll just kill your whole family in front of you. I don't have time to torture you, but I can kill a few idiots," he said. "You still have two children and four nephews that you take good care of, right? My dear cousins, I wonder what color all those bastards' blood will be." Elliot began dragging Alexander into the mansion.
"Don't you dare!" he shouted, but his body was soon slammed against some rocks and once again the sword pierced him, this time in one of his legs.
"Ah..." This time he couldn't help but cry out when the sword pierced one of his bones, but he bit his lips hard to keep from screaming any more. He was pretty good at enduring pain.
Elliot smiled and approached him. "If you tell me, I promise your family will live. I can even protect them after you die."
"You are not... worthy... of protecting them... Who do you think you are, standing in front of my eldest son?" He roared. "You're just a bastard who was lucky enough to wake up and barely made it onto the scene!"
"Oh, Tyler, eh. That thief who got help from the damn old man doesn't deserve my attention, Alexander. He woke up at an early age and wasn't that talented, but the bastard stole my talent and gave it to him, by force. Originally, that story didn't make sense to me."
"If it's a ritual that only works on babies, both the stolen one and the privileged one, how could it work on me and Tyler? Tyler is quite a bit older than me. How did they do it? Did they freeze him in time? Even though I didn't understand it, I had accepted it because I expected anything from scum like you."
"But then I understood. What happened was that Tyler was forced to take my talent. Do you think someone like that is worthy of facing me?"
"I'll tell you a secret, Alexander Clark. That way you'll know that my words are true." He leaned close to his ear and whispered, "I woke up on my 18th birthday. Only a few months have passed, but look how far I've come... Do you think your son can match me? In another six months, he won't even be worthy of tying my shoes. So speak clearly. Where is that damn old man?"
Alexander looked at him with a face full of disbelief.
"Impossible... How could he have woken up just five months ago? No way!" he roared inside.
But if he had, some things would make a little sense.
Alexander immediately felt suffocated and alarmed.
"I knew it... we shouldn't have let him wake up. Damn it, I told you, Father, we should have killed him!" He felt the anger rising inside him.
Things had gotten completely out of control now. He acted calm because he was confident that his troops could come at any moment and he could get away. Either that or maybe the royal guards would come to restore order, which would inevitably cause Elliot to retreat.
Damn, even that legendary elf was still lurking around. There were many ways to save himself right now!
But no one appeared. Not even that legendary elf, and that could only mean one thing: Elliot's backing was greater than he had imagined.
And if he had woken up five months ago, it would make sense!
What's the best way to grow at ridiculous speeds? By having some big guild on the continent behind you!
Now it all made sense!
Before, they couldn't catch him even if they worked miracles, because someone was protecting him!
Now his strength has grown ridiculously in such a short time, because he has someone very powerful behind him!
Alexander immediately realized...
They were doomed.
There was only one desire in his heart: that those 10,000 candles meant something more.
The sudden rain and torrential winds... that those powerful lightning bolts that kept falling could mean something.
