Chapter 991 Righteous Indignation

It didn't take much for Sylas to recognize the open-back dresses and the complex runic tattoo on their back.

At the center of it all, there was a young woman with bright purple lipstick and eyes that were somehow an even brighter shade of purple.

Sylas didn't bother to try and decipher the rest of her stats. It wasn't worth it.

Right this moment, she held two fingers together and brought them up. The enormous javelin had a Rune activate and the ground it was stuck in almost wilted away with a BANG!

The thick javelin was freed and was about to return to the woman when her expression changed.

Her telekinesis shattered just as the javelin was about to cross over Sylas' head. Falling down from the skies, it landed in Sylas' palm, his intention calm and keeping the Scorned Wraps in check.

'This javelin is specifically designed to be used by telekinetic geniuses…'

That Rune that activated just now, though it could do damage, it was clearly not well-suited to that alone. It was actually there to help the javelin loosen itself out of anything it was stuck in. There was even a secondary Rune here that actually allowed for a short teleportation instead, allowing the javelin to extricate itself out of something too tough to pull itself out from.

Obviously, this second Rune cost far more Aether to activate, so it was easier on the user to use the first.

The young woman at the helm of the cloud stood there stunned. She seemed to be subconsciously still trying to pull her treasure back, but it wasn't working at all.

'Interesting indeed.'

Sylas' fist clenched and the treasure burst into a rain of ash, sparking flames falling to the ground.

The eyes of the women on the cloud opened wide in shock.

There wasn't a single one of them who didn't recognize Sylas. Although he looked a little different from the last time, it wasn't enough that they didn't know Nyssa's husband when they saw him. That news had spread far and wide.

While it had been a while to Sylas, to the outside world, it hadn't even been a whole week. Though, now that Earth's timeline was tethered to the galaxy once more, this wouldn't be a problem again.

What they didn't remember, though… was anything about Sylas being this powerful.

Subconsciously, they all checked the Titan Leaderboard and all their eyes widened.

The woman wearing purple lipstick paled. She had only sent out that attack to flirt with Sylas a bit, to tease the man that had very clearly become the sugar baby to a woman.

This, though… this she didn't expect at all.

They had been embroiled in this battlefield for too long and hadn't been completely locked into the news. The galaxy would have been on fire due to Sylas' sudden rise to Level 50, but it had quickly been distracted by too many other things.

Just how many world leaders had been killed by the system in the last day? Everyone was focused on a mad scramble for power while doing their best to not piss the system off again. None of them had the time to consider other things so clearly.

Suddenly, what should have been a flirtatious tease had become a life-and-death situation.

Teasing a weak man was fine.

Teasing a man that could snap your spine in half with a touch was a completely different matter entirely.

None of them had ever looked down on Sylas' potential. But he wasn't supposed to grow into it so fast.

However, Sylas seemed to not be paying attention to them at all. He was still looking past them. After he finished observing the javelin, his focus had still been on the distance.

The woman slowly turned her head, and when she saw what he was looking at, she seemed to relax just the slightest bit.

A golden cloud floated over from the distance, standing in the skies about three meters higher than that of the first one as though to display its better status.

The woman on the back of this one wore golden lipstick and her eyes carried the same bright shade. Her hair fell in gentle, curling locks, no less as gold as the sparkling dress she wore. There didn't seem to be any other shade on her entire body aside from her skies itself.

Even then, down the back of her arms, adorning her cheeks, and dotted across her forehead were golden scales that looked almost like shimmering gems at first.

She was a woman with beauty that was hard to describe, the sort that stood at the pinnacle of perfection.

But that wasn't what Sylas saw. First, he saw the dense Serpentes aura coming from her. Second, he felt the E-Grade prowess rolling off of her in waves. And third, he felt the towering mass that was her Will.

She was a monster of epic proportions. This was completely unlike the E-Grade he had seen before. Even if she had been in the F-Grade, he wasn't sure if he would have the power to defeat her.

This wasn't just a Level 51 like the others he had faced.

Even so, Sylas didn't hesitate to scan her.

[Yvette Soran (XXX)]

Yvette's eyes slowly narrowed as she felt the scan. An F-Grade had successfully scanned her? How was that possible?

Even with an extraordinary Scouting Skill and Will, that shouldn't have been possible.

Slowly, her lips parted.

"You may be Nyssa's husband-to-be, but you have yet to officially wed and should not be on my battlefield. If you do not wish to die, I would suggest you leave."

"Young miss, we cannot." A voice filled with righteous indignation sounded. "Just look at what he's done."

Behind Yvette, a familiar voice echoed. It came from a woman with muscular shoulders and a strong physique, the very same guide of the Petals of the Seeing Thorn that had helped Sylas just days earlier.

With fury in her eyes, she pointed toward the half-dead Lorien.
