Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world-Chapter 141: Been a while
Chapter 141: Been a while
Walking through the Academy hallways, Eira was hugging Brandon’s arm with one hand while scrolling through her mobile in the other hand.
She showed the screen to him and muttered "See, how does this look?"
Brandon leaned over to look at the wallpaper and replied "Looks nice. You are cute."
A faint blush creased her cheeks "Idiot..."
At this time, someone tapped on his shoulder and Brandon stopped in his tracks before turning around.
Looking at Han Dhayun, a smile immediately appeared on his face. "Dhayun..."
Dhayun glimpsed at both of them and frowned slightly "Morning, Brandon."
"Morning..."
Brandon looked at Eira and winked. "Dear, you go to class... I will come there later."
Eira looked at Dhayun and nodded her head before walking away from there like an excited rabbit.
Brandon stood quietly for a moment as he watched her disappear around the corner.
Then, without much thought, he stepped beside Dhayun and gently wrapped an arm around her shoulder as they began walking slowly down the corridor.
She looked at him in the corner of her eyes and spoke "Seems like things are going well with Eira."
Brandon nodded his head "Yeah, it’s nice. She has accepted it..."
"I see..."
She mused under her breath as they continued their small walk.
She folded her hands behind her back and tilted her head to the side. "And you have exams tomorrow, right?"
Brandon gave a nod "Yeah. What about you?"
She stretched her arms up, her blazer lifting slightly, revealing the curve of her waist under the academy uniform "I’ve got practical exams."
"Practical exams?"
"Yeah. They’ll drop us into a designated dungeon zone and we’ll have to fight a batch of controlled aberrants. It’s part of the ranking criteria and combat readiness evaluation."
Her lips curled into a smile "Well, it’s not that bad. It’s better than writing essays."
Brandon gave her a small pinch on her cheek "Good luck with that."
She giggled and muttered "Don’t worry. I’ll blast through it. Also... if you want, we could start taking small missions together."
Brandon raised an eyebrow "Missions?"
She nodded her head "Yeah. Like clearing small ruptures or escorting survey teams. The Academy posts those missions regularly. Some are solo, but a lot of them allow pairs or teams. They pay too."
Brandon’s gaze squinted as this is teh same reason, Eira and Calistra came to that rupture in teh first day, where he was trapped.
He gave a small nod, then a smile, easing the tension in his shoulders. "Hmm. Sure. Let’s do it."
Her smile widened at his reply, bright and genuine. She bumped his arm playfully. "Good. I’ll show you the power of a B-rank awakener."
Brandon laughed under his breath. "Looking forward to it."
"We’ll fight monsters together, make some money, and maybe grab ice cream after," she added with a teasing grin.
"Sounds like a solid plan."
As they continued walking, they suddenly heard a scream "BRANDON!!! MY CUTE JUNIORRRRR!"
-_- Hearing this voice, Brandon’s body stiffened ’Fuck...’
A woman was rushing towards him, her green hair swaying in the air with a bright smile on her face.
Astrid rushed to his front and jumped onto him "BRANDONNNN!!!"
Brandon instinctively caught her waist as she wrapped her legs around his hips, saving them from tumbling onto the floor.
"Junior..."
She hugged his neck tightly and caressed her cheek with his cheek like a cat asking for attention.
Brandon smiled dryly "Its been a while, Astrid."
Astrid nodded her head and replied "Yeah, it surely has been a while...."
As she spoke, she leaned forward and kissed his lips.
Sighing in his heart, Brandon closed his eyes and reciprocated the kiss.
Dhayun’s gaze narrowed seeing them kissing and crossed her arms above her chest ’Hm...’
Pulling back from the kiss, Astrid’s gaze narrowed slightly "Interesting, your ether feels a lot more different than the last time I kissed you..."
"I can feel two different types of signatures inside your body."
Her lips curled into a smile "Impressive, the quality and density of your ether have also improved a lot. I like you very much now, Junior."
"You are getting even stronger..."
Brandon nodded his head and replied vaguely "Well yeah, I am training these days."
She tilted her head "I see, I see... A strong man is a sexy man. Maybe the next time we are alone, i should show you my breasts."
Brandon smiled dryly "Let’s not..."
With a chuckle, she again pecked his lips "I love you act like a gentleman but I know you will shamelessly grope my breasts."
"Well, anyway... I hope you will arrange a meeting for me with your Aunty and think about what I said, hmm? I might not be kidding about the boyfriend thing."
With that, she leaned up and gave him one last kiss on the cheek before getting down from him.
She then glimpsed at Dhayun and saw the number III on her uniform "Hm, a third year, I see..."
Her eyes then flickered to her face "Hmm... body mutation class, I’d bet. Looks like elven heritage. Slender build, sharp cheekbones, long ears under those locks..."
"Interesting. I know another elf, actually."
She turned back to Brandon and gave him a playful pat on the shoulder. "Alright then, see you later, Junior~"
She started to spin around on her heel but then stopped halfway as if a thought suddenly occurred to her.
She looked back at him over her shoulder, "Oh- wait."
She reached into her coat pocket, pulled out her phone, and waved it in front of him. "Give me your number."
Brandon blinked "You... don’t already have it?"
Astrid rolled her eyes "I got a new phone, dummy. My last one got soaked in a river during a rupture raid."
Then, tapping the screen impatiently, she added, "Come on, come on, before another girl snatches you away in the next five minutes. You’re like a rare artifact these days."
He chuckled softly and took out his own phone, bumping hers for a quick sync.
The device beeped in confirmation.
"There," he said.
"Perfect~" She looked at the screen and grinned. "Mmm. Cute."
She tucked her phone back into her pocket, gave him one last wink, and then started walking off, her green hair bouncing with every step.
But not before tossing one final comment over her shoulder "Don’t keep me waiting too long, Brandon. I’m very patient... but I’m also very, very fast when I want something."
A soft silence lingered in the air and Brandon turned to look at Dhayun "Shall we go?"
Dhayun let out a deep sigh "You are like a magnet attracting all the women. And what’s the deal with her being your girlfriend?"
With a smile, Brandon spoke "Come on, I will tell you on the way."
---
Bang.
The crisp snap of gunfire echoed through the wide shooting lanes of the Aegis Range.
Brandon stood in the Booth Nine and the matte-black Lazara Mk.II rested comfortably in his grip now.
Sweat beaded lightly along his brow as he lined up the next target: a drone weaving left and right in jagged zigzags at mid-range.
Bang.
The first shot grazed its edge.
Bang.
The second connected... a direct hit to the central node, sending the drone spinning before it locked back into place and hovered, awaiting the next volley.
"Nice shot." freewebnσvel.cøm
Hearing a voice, he glanced over his shoulder, still holding his stance, to see Eira standing a few steps behind him.
"You didn’t even flinch this time." she chirped, stepping up beside him. "You’re starting to look like a proper sharpshooter. Kinda hot, not gonna lie."
Brandon chuckled and lowered the gun, "Thankyou."
Her eyes softened looking at his hands and the faint red line near his thumb from hours of recoil.
"But seriously... you’re improving fast. I’m proud of you."
"Now..." She grabbed the pistol from the booth and weighed it in her hand "Teach me how to shoot."
Brandon raised an eyebrow. "You also want to use guns?"
She winked and muttered, "My boyfriend looks hot when he’s shooting. And I wanna look hot doing this too. Come on... hold my arms."
He laughed under his breath and stepped up behind Eira, his hands settling over hers as he adjusted her grip on the Lazara Mk.II.
"Relax your shoulders," he murmured near her ear.
"Keep your thumbs aligned. Don’t strangle the grip... just hold it firm."
Eira tilted her head slightly to listen, a soft smile curling on her lips "Mhm. Like this?"
"Almost. Left elbow down a bit. Yeah... there." He nudged her stance with a light touch, as he leaned in to guide her arms into position.
"You breathe in, steady the aim, then exhale as you squeeze the trigger."
"Like I’m pulling a ribbon?"
He let out a chuckle "Exactly. Except the ribbon explodes on impact."
She let out a soft laugh and lowered the pistol "Okay, now you try again. Let me see how the pro does it."
Pro? Brandon smiled dryly and took the pistol from her hand. He turned to face the range, reloaded a fresh clip with a click, and raised the weapon.
Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang.
The pistol cracked and four of the five shots landed in tight grouping near the center of the moving target.
The fifth nicked the drone’s wing as it jerked sideways.
A moment later, the screen above his booth pinged: Target Integrity: 12%.
Brandon lowered the pistol and nodded "Still not Hollowpoint-level, but I can manage."
"That was seriously cool," Eira muttered, brushing her fingers along his shoulder. "Okay, now me."
He handed the gun back to her "Same grip. Just like before. Don’t overthink it."
Eira inhaled and raised the pistol, her expression suddenly shifting from playful to focused.
The target drone swerved left, then accelerated in a fast arc across the lane.
She exhaled slowly.
Bang. Bang. Bang.
All three shots struck dead center.
A clean, symmetrical triangle on the drone’s chassis and the screen above them flickered:
Critical Impact – Target Integrity: 4%
Brandon blinked. "...What?"
Eira lowered the pistol and turned to him, blinking innocently "Did I do it wrong?"
He stared at her, then at the screen, then back at her.
"Did you do that on instinct?"
"I just... did what you said," she replied.
"Breathe in. Aim. Pull like a ribbon. Oh... and I adjusted my angle because the drone shifted right as I fired."
Brandon’s gaze narrowed "You adjusted mid-shot?"
Eira tilted her head "I mean.. it was going that way, so I shot it there, predicting its trajectory."
Brandon blinked in surprise ’I think... I found out Eira’s natural talent.’
