Getting Stronger By Fighting-Chapter 633 - 631: Terrifying Statue_1
The two of them had been constantly moving in circles here, a realization that was indeed horrifying upon careful consideration.
A grave expression appeared on Luo Tianhong's face. Clearly, he hadn't expected this place to be so terrifying.
Even though Luo Tianhong's strength was considerable, when faced with the fear of the unknown, anyone would feel a trace of apprehension.
"Don't you have a bunch of clever ideas? Have you thought of any way to break through this Maze now?"
Luo Tianhong's gaze suddenly landed on Wang Zhan. He then said, "Don't try any more tricks here. We're in the same boat now. If we fail to solve the Maze before us, not only will you be stuck here, but it will also be extremely difficult for me to get out."
"Do you think I'm the kind of person who doesn't consider the bigger picture?"
Wang Zhan rolled his eyes at Luo Tianhong before continuing, "It's just that even I don't know what to do right now. After all, this is my first time entering this Maze, and I've never encountered a situation like this before."
Wang Zhan wasn't joking. Although he had experienced many traps before, he had never been confined to one place like this.
"Damn it, looks like I can't rely on you," Luo Tianhong muttered. He frowned slightly and ignored Wang Zhan's words; he clearly appeared extremely anxious.
But this wasn't necessarily a bad thing for Wang Zhan. Since he was in an unfamiliar environment, any action Luo Tianhong took would likely not benefit him. However, if Luo Tianhong also found himself in a predicament, then things would naturally be different.
"Alright, stop complaining and start thinking of a way to break through this Maze."
Wang Zhan had just discovered something even more terrifying: they couldn't even find the way out anymore. The entrance they had used to come in had vanished at some unknown point. Perhaps it was because they had ventured too far, or perhaps the entrance itself was merely a ruse, designed to disappear once they entered the Maze.
"Alright, alright! Don't you think I'm trying to find a way?" Luo Tianhong retorted, somewhat impatiently. He then sat down on the ground and slowly closed his eyes.
"What are you doing? Surely you're not planning to cultivate here?" Wang Zhan walked over to him and added, "I say, can't you do something constructive?"
"And who told you what I'm doing isn't constructive?"
Luo Tianhong's eyes remained closed as his hands formed seals. Instantly, streams of colorful light appeared, circling around him.
Wang Zhan instinctively retreated a few steps; he could even feel the formidable energy within the flowing lights.
Wang Zhan narrowed his eyes slightly and asked, "What on earth are you up to?"
"Naturally, I'm trying to find a way to break out of here," Luo Tianhong said lightly, then instructed, "Alright, quickly find a place to hide yourself. No matter what you see, don't be alarmed."
Wang Zhan paused, stunned, but he didn't ask any more questions.
In a few strides, Wang Zhan had positioned himself dozens of meters away, his Deep Fire Blade already in hand.
Clearly, Wang Zhan had also prepared himself.
After glancing at Wang Zhan, Luo Tianhong once again began to change the seals his hands were forming. Immediately, a huge energy vortex materialized around him.
As the energy vortex manifested, even the surrounding trees began to distort rapidly.
"I asked, what on earth are you up to?!" Wang Zhan exclaimed. He could already feel the surrounding space constantly fluctuating. If these fluctuations continued, the area might soon erupt into an explosion. At that point, he wasn't sure if he could even escape unscathed.
However, Luo Tianhong completely ignored him. With a sharp cry from Luo Tianhong, the energy vortex began to vibrate violently. Immediately after, a ripple of energy spread rapidly outwards from around his body.
The next second, as the energy ripple spread outwards, all the surrounding trees were obliterated. However, they merely dissolved into streaks of light, proving that this place was undoubtedly an Illusion, and nothing here was real.
Wang Zhan was also shocked by the scene unfolding before him. Although he didn't understand what Luo Tianhong was doing, he no longer had any way to stop him and could only use the Deep Fire Blade in his hand to block the encroaching aftershocks.
Fortunately, as these energy ripples shattered the trees within the Illusion, their power gradually weakened. Wang Zhan managed to completely block the residual energy that reached him with his Deep Fire Blade.
Thus, Wang Zhan narrowly escaped harm. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Following a loud bang, everything before them suddenly vanished. The bright area they had seen moments ago also receded.
Looking around, the surroundings were no different from the rest of the ruins; it was a scene of widespread desolation. Wang Zhan was surprised to realize they were clearly within the ruins.
Apparently, they had been trapped in the Illusion for a long time, so long that they couldn't even tell if this was a place they had been to before.
After the Illusion before them slowly shattered, Luo Tianhong finally stood up. He glanced at a statue that had appeared not far away, his eyes narrowing. "It seems all of this was created by this fellow before us. I don't know his level of cultivation yet, but he certainly doesn't look like a simple character."
As he spoke, Luo Tianhong had already walked up to the statue. He raised his hand, his fingertips landing on the space between the statue's eyebrows. A stream of light instantly flowed into his body, but to Wang Zhan's utter astonishment, Luo Tianhong was immediately sent flying backward!
"Are you alright?" Wang Zhan quickly rushed to his side and asked.
Luo Tianhong shook his head, but Wang Zhan could see that his face was extremely pale. Evidently, that inexplicable attack had posed a significant threat to him.
"I can't believe this fellow has been dead for so many years and still possesses such terrifying residual power!" Luo Tianhong exclaimed, his eyes narrowed. He then glanced at Wang Zhan beside him and said, "It seems this fellow is the greatest treasure in these ruins. As for any elixirs or weapons here, I don't care about them at all. But this corpse before us—I need to handle it. What I'm interested in is its cultivation."
"Of course," Luo Tianhong continued, "you don't actually have the strength to absorb such vast cultivation anyway. So, this arrangement isn't unfair to you, is it?"
Wang Zhan shrugged indifferently. He could see that the statue before them, though seemingly simple, actually contained an extremely vast power. Luo Tianhong was right; he indeed lacked the ability to absorb the cultivation within it. Clearly, this was a windfall that did not belong to him.
However, Wang Zhan was broad-minded and had an excellent attitude. Since it wasn't something that belonged to him, he naturally had no desire to lay a claim to it.
However, after glancing at Luo Tianhong beside him, Wang Zhan folded his arms and said with a smile, "Although I can't claim all this cultivation for myself, I doubt you can manage it either, even with your means, right?"
Luo Tianhong could indeed defeat two level 2 demonic beasts single-handedly. However, Wang Zhan still didn't know the true extent of Luo Tianhong's strength, so he naturally wasn't sure if Luo Tianhong could absorb such a vast amount of cultivation. Besides, Luo Tianhong was young; even if his cultivation was relatively formidable, just how formidable could it be?
"Just stand aside and watch quietly. Where is all this nonsense coming from?"
Luo Tianhong actually mimicked his tone, which instantly displeased Wang Zhan. But just as Wang Zhan was about to speak, Luo Tianhong had already dashed swiftly towards the statue again.
In a few strides, Luo Tianhong was back in front of the statue. He raised his hand and, repeating his previous action, struck at the statue once more.
Even though Luo Tianhong's strength was terrifyingly profound, Wang Zhan was utterly unprepared for what happened next. The moment Luo Tianhong's hand touched the statue, an immense repulsive force struck him. In the next second, Luo Tianhong's figure was sent flying backward again. This time, it was far more severe than before; cracks even appeared on the wondrous light patterns enveloping his body.
It was clear that Luo Tianhong had prepared for the worst and had even used every means at his disposal. Yet, he had never imagined that he still wouldn't be able to deal with the statue before him.
"If you need my help, I'm not as stingy as you. I'll step in anytime."
Wang Zhan, standing to the side, had already gripped his Deep Fire Blade. He could see that it would not be an easy task for Luo Tianhong to deal with the statue on his own.
However, Luo Tianhong shot him a disdainful look and said directly, "Just stay there and focus on protecting yourself. Enough with the nonsense. If I can't even handle this damn thing, what makes you think you can change anything?"
"You!" Wang Zhan glared at him fiercely, looking as if he wanted to raise his Deep Fire Blade and help the statue finish off Luo Tianhong.
What Wang Zhan hadn't expected, however, was that the statue had remained completely motionless, sitting there quietly, yet it could unleash such formidable energy—enough to injure even Luo Tianhong. This was truly terrifying.
It's already this formidable while immobile. What if it could move?
At this thought, Wang Zhan's expression turned uglier. He was just about to warn Luo Tianhong when, in the next second, something neither of them had expected happened: the statue slowly began to rise to its feet.
"Damn it! I didn't think this thing could actually move!"
