Chapter 188: Chapter 188: Lost Herself

"What mysterious person?"

Yu Holea asked curiously.

Jiang Wei looked around and said in a hushed tone,

"Do you know that just this morning head teachers announced that we can freely purchase talismans since a kind Master Talisman Practitioner has donated more than 1000 talismans and didn’t even ask for a large amount of money!"

Yu Holea: "..." No I charged a hefty sum! And from when did I become a kind Talisman Practitioner?

Jiang Wei didn’t know that the kind Talisman Practitioner whom she was talking about was just right in front of her.

She continued,

"I don’t know who he is, but to be honest I have become of an of him! Holea you should acknowledge him as your teacher! "

Even though Jiang Wei had seen Yu Holea’s talismans, it was not using the talisman pagoda, the talisman that Yu Holea submitted was made according to the talisman pagoda’s instruction.

Her earlier talismans were good but the talismans made according to Talisman Pagoda are more powerful since they change according to her power.

The ones she submitted had her power when she was at Black Rank’s peak stage.

Even though they won’t be as powerful as the talisman she was going to make in the future, those talismans are more than enough to defend against those AS members.

Hence Jiang Wei didn’t suspect that Yu Holea was the master talisman practitioner who donated those talismans.

Yu Holea just smiled at Jiang Wei’s suggestion and asked,

"So is everyone discussing the talisman?"

"No, they are discussing about the mysterious talisman practitioner."

Yu Holea shook her head helplessly and stood there listening to the praise that was being said.

Suddenly one of the students said,

"It’s better if the talisman practitioner can remain hidden."

"Why are you saying?"

"Don’t you remember about XX high school incident?"

"What do you mean by XX?"

"He can’t say the name of the school." One of them helped the person who said that it was better if the talisman practitioner could remain hidden.

"Yes, I can’t tell the name but it was once rumored that XX High School, had a talisman practitioner. The talisman practitioner was very talented and when the authorities of the school knew about her existence they immediately started controlling her."

"Hey! I remember, later that girl was used by the higher authorities and her friends as a talisman machine."

"So? Was she rescued in the end?"

"Nope, she eventually lost herself."

"What do you mean lost herself?"

............

Hearing their discussion Yu Holea’s hand turned a little cold.

She knew the meaning of ’Lost herself’.

Destiny is very fair.

If someone is a genius their timespan to utilize their power will be a lot less than those with average talent.

Until and unless that genius reaches to extent where even destiny couldn’t control him/her, they are destined to die early.

Yu Holea knew this better than anyone because she was the best example.

The reason why she died in her previous life was because of her heaven-defying talent in mystical art.

Since she sacrificed herself to save many people, she got a chance where even though she would have heaven-defying talent, she wouldn’t have to die.

This is what slowly Yu Holea understood and slowly she felt grateful to her master.

Yu Holea thought that she would be able to live a long life even if she used her power excessively but that was until she heard these words ’lost herself’

The girl might have lost either her will to draw talismans or her will to live but they still go on. In such cases, a person’s body and soul corroded slowly...

This was the side effect of magical power, you take what you want and they take what they want...

However, you shouldn’t be greedy otherwise they will take away double of what you took in your greed.

When the ball rang, everyone finally scattered but Yu Holeaon the other hand understood something.

The value of talisman.

In this world, the value of talismans is very high.

She never understood this because the head teachers didn’t show any greed or want to control her when she released the news that she was a talisman practitioner nor did they decide to announce it.

Even her friends never told her identity and just praised her for being kind.

This clearly indicated that they knew that her identity couldn’t be revealed.

Yu Holea was grateful that they didn’t tell anyone else but at the same time, she felt a little cold and decided to stay low-profile.

She stood there for 2 minutes before finally entering her cubicle.

.............

Student Council Room.

In the conference room, a group of students were sitting and casually discussing about their future plans.

"Hey did you hear? Mr. Qiao apologized to a junior?"

"Really? How enviable that girl is!"

"Exactly but what I find funny is how his reputation might face a huge blow in the future. Hahaha!"

"Serves him right! Who asked him to act so arrogantly!" This all was said by the boys in the conference room.

A girl couldn’t help but interrupt,

"Hey enough! Mr. Qiao May have apologized but it shows his generosity and this will not damage his reputation at all!"

Other girls nodded in agreement.

One of the girls even said,

"I think the junior to whom Mr. Qiao apologized was shameless. I mean how could she ask her senior to apologize?"

"Yes."

"Maybe she did this in order to attract Mr. Qiao’s attention."

No one dared to call Qiao Jun by his name since he didn’t allow them.

Not because he was arrogant, he just didn’t want others to be too close to him.

However, since he never told this reason, in everyone’s mind Qiao Jun’s impression became that of an arrogant person.

"Yes, you are right." One of the girls chimed in.

Even the boys present in the conference room deny it because they too thought that Yu Holea was doing this to attract Qiao Jun’s attention.

Just then Qiao Jun entered and all the chattering stopped.

Qiao Jun went to his seat and said,

"Let’s begin the meeting."

Some of the students couldn’t help but curl their lips in distaste.

Of course, these students were just boys, all the girls present were looking at Qiao Jun as if he was some eye candy.

Qiao Jun ignored everyone’s reaction and said,

"This year’s election will be conducted after 2 weeks, are all the preparation done?"

Bai Shouai stood up and said, ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

"Not yet, there are still some things left to do."

Qiao Jun asked with a smirk,

"Can you list down the things that are still remaining?"

Bai Shouai looked a little embarrassed and said in a defeated tone,

"That from challenges to venue."

"Great." Qiao Jun commented lightly but the smirk from his face was long replaced by a smile.

Bai Shouai was a little terrified and so was everyone, except for a handsome guy who was sitting, right next to Qiao Jun.

This guy was the same person Yu Holea had met when she came to Jackson High School for an interview.

Qiao Jun looked around and instead of scolding Bai Shouai, he asked,

"Can everyone tell me, why they have become such a lazy bum? Have you all forgotten what will befall you all if you don’t finish the task assigned by the Head Of the Student Council?"

Qiao Jun rarely used his posts to intimidate them but today he seem to be in rather a bad mood.

No one understood why, but the handsome boy sitting on Qiao Jun’s left looked at Qiao Jun in a suspicious way.

Qiao Jun continued,

"If by tomorrow morning, I don’t find a proper outline and venue decided I will ensure that you all will have endless time to gossip."

When others heard Qiao Jun’s words, they understood that Qiao Jun had heard their gossip and was hence angry.

Their faces paled because they understood that even if they did an amazing job tomorrow Qiao Jun wouldn’t let them off.

Qiao Jun stood up to leave when the handsome guy sitting on his left said,

"Mr. Qiao, are you angry because we were making fun of you?"

A silence ensued in the conference room.

Qiao Jun whose face was a little cold, suddenly had a smirk and he said,

"No, it was because I was feeling disdain for how the members of the Student Council who are taught to be unbiased, made a biased opinion on an innocent junior who was just seeking justice for herself."

When he said this he looked at the girl who said that it was all Yu Holea’s scheme and said,

"Next time when I kick you out from the Student Council without any reason, and you try to seek justice for yourself, I hope others will label you as a scheming girl who wants to attract my attention."

The girl’s entire face paled.

Even though Qiao Jun threatened her, surprisingly her focus was on the fact how ridiculous her remark was.
