The moment she picked up Yun Jilang’s phone, she heard him speaking,

"Master Yu something happened."

Yu Holea frowned when she heard the urgency in his voice.

For the past 3 weeks, nothing happened on Yun Jilang’s side.

Even the murders were stopped mysteriously.

Just when Yun Jilang felt that everything was back to normal, he received a call from one of his subordinates informing him about a murder.

At first, Yun Jilang felt that it might be another ordinary case, but when he saw the report of the dead person, he was shocked to find that the person died in the same as the previous victims.

Hence Yun Jilang called Yu Holea because he felt that something bad would happen if he didn’t report it to Yu Holea.

When Yu Holea heard Yun Jilang’s report, she frowned and said,

"Okay, where is Uncle Sun?"

Yun Jilang instantly said,

"He has returned, in fact, he had wanted to meet you but since you were busy he didn’t dare to disturb you."

Yu Holea said,

"Pass the phone to him."

Yun Jilang passed the phone to Sun Dong.

"Did you investigate what I asked you?"

Sun Dong nodded and said,

"Yes."

"Great for me, I will come there."

After saying so Yu Holea hung up the call and changed into a fresh set of clothes.

When Yu Holea came out of the Qiao Mansion she felt as if someone was following her.

But she wasn’t concerned and even walked forward as if she didn’t sense anyone.

After reaching the police station, she went to Yun Jilang’s office and greeted them.

Without wasting any time Sun Dong said,

"Master Yu there is indeed a matter in which the parents of all the victims were involved."

Yu Holea signaled him to continue and Sun Dong said,

"Master Yu, do you know about City K?"

Yu Holea shook her head and Yun Jilang explained to her briefly,

"It was one of the most eyed cities. Every businessman wanted to explain their business there. However, due to some reason, its construction suddenly stopped."

Yu Holea nodded and motioned for Sun Dong to continue,

"Before the redevelopment plan was announced in City K, many businessmen started a new business venture, aiming to capitalize on the city’s anticipated growth.

They bought the lands from all the people at slightly high prices and started expanding their business."

After a pause, Sun Dong continued,

"Many people willing sold their land but there were few people who opposed it. At first, those businessmen tried to deal with them politely and even offered high benefits.

However, as time passed some of the businessmen started losing their patience and became forceful."

Yu Holea frowned and asked,

"Did they want to buy those lands and sell it at a high price to the government?"

"No, they already knew the area in which redevelopment was going to be proposed and hence they avoided it and acquired lands other than one under the redevelopment plan."

Yu Holea nodded and asked,

"So they were mainly after profit?"

Sun Dong nodded and said,

"3 businessmen who were mainly involved in the Real Estate Business, had an eye on a large forest. Since the forest was located just at the side of the city center, it was one of the best locations for them to transform it into a resort."

Yu Holea’s curiosity was peaked and she asked,

"Then?"

"The group living in the forest instantly protested. At first, the businessmen threatened them but one of the businessmen hired a killer to kill the leader. Who would have thought that the killer would make a mistake and kill the son of the leader."

Yu Holea was baffled and asked,

"But why did they go so far? It was just a bit of land, right? Why can’t they just give up? Not to mention the land belongs to those groups since the beginning, it is their choice whether to sell it or not."

As she said this both Yun Jilang and Sun Dong were a bit surprised.

After all, even though Yu Holea’s words were simple they had deep meaning behind them.

Just because of money those businessmen killed an innocent person.

It might seem that she was disdaining the human behavior, but after looking at her expression they understood that she was disdaining money.

Money wasn’t the only thing Yu Holea was looking down but it was the materialism.

Yu Holea loved money too but she never made money her priority.

In fact if possible she would save the life of those in need without asking for money.

She was a materialist but not to the point where she overlooks the life of a human.

Sun Dong took a deep breath and said,

"It...is human nature, Master Yu. Anyways the leader was angered and heartbroken after hearing the news of his son’s death, he decided to sue those businessmen and since he had proof in his hands he was sure that he would be able to win the lawsuit.

But before he could take any action, those businessmen knew about his plan and hired another group of killers to kill his entire community..."

Sun Dong and Yun Jilang’s heart was filled with sadness.

Yu Holea on the other hand clenched her hand.

Her eyes were slowly changing their colors but since her head was lowered, both of them didn’t notice this, and Sun Dong continued,

"Everyone was killed and those businessmen obtained the land through illegal means. After acquiring the land they were rejoicing, yet their happiness didn’t last long since, one after another mysterious deaths were getting reported, and surprisingly all the people dying were their own family members or subordinates."

Yu Holea understood the entire situation and said,

"Then the one with the sharpest mind might have guessed that there was some spirit who was behind this and hired a priest."

Sun Dong nodded and said,

"Exactly. After which the spirit behind was trapped and all the businessmen decided to leave the city."

Yu Holea nodded her head and said to Yun Jilang,

"Now we can know the next target based on the name of the people who were involved in this."

It became clear now why those innocent children were dying.

They were paying back the karma that their dad owned.

After going through the list, Yu Holea realized that only 3 people were left who could become the ghost’s target if that ghost targeted only the children of the culprit.

Out of which 2 were boys and one was a girl.

Yu Holea wasn’t surprised to find Mu Jie’s name on the list too.

Then she ordered,

"Give protection to these 3 people and if something happens report it to me."

Yun Jilang nodded.

Yu Holea gave them a few more instructions before leaving.

When she arrived at her private villa, she went to Kris’s room directly and knocked on his door.

Kris was unaware that Yu Holea was going to visit him and hence when he replied his voice was a little cold,

"Who?"

For a moment Yu Holea paused at her place.

Why did she get such a familiar feeling?

But before Yu Holea could remember to whom it belonged, the thought faded away.

Even after standing there for 3 minutes, she wasn’t able to remember, and hence at last she gave up and entered the room.

Kris lifted his head when he heard some moment and when he saw that it was Yu Holea, his eyes brightened.

He stopped whatever he was doing and ran to Yu Holea to hug her.

Yu Holea looked at the cute boy who was sticking himself to her as if he were her body part and couldn’t help but smile.

She patted his head and asked,

"Kris, how are you now? Did you trouble the Nanny Li?"

Kris shook his head and said,

"No! I behaved and didn’t trouble her at all, if you want, you can ask to her."

Yu Holea chuckled and said,

"What about the medicine which I asked you to drink?"

Kris obediently nodded and said,

"I am taking it daily."

When Yu Holea was going for the adventure week, she realized a problem and that was how she would transfer energy to Kris.

For the past 1 month, she was transferring her energy to Kris and since she was in Heaven Rank, the changes on Kris’s face were quite visible but due to adventure week she won’t be able to transfer energy to Kris and hence she was worried.

After all, if she stopped in between then there were chances that Kris might face some side effects.
