Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All-Chapter 247: Luo Bin
Chapter 247: Chapter 247: Luo Bin
Yu Holea: "..." Tell me, do you want me dead?
"Tell me what is your motive?"
Do you secretly wish that I die?
After she said this, she waited for Zephyr’s response but what she received was a bolt of lightning instead.
As the first bolt of lightning descended from the dark clouds, Yu Holea stood firm, her mystic energy shield ready to deflect the powerful force of nature.
The deafening sound of thunder echoed in the vicinity as the lightning struck the protective barrier around her.
The impact sent tremors through her body, the sheer force of the lightning testing her defenses and resolve.
Because she was a cultivator Yu Holea’s body didn’t turn charred, but this bolt of lightning was enough to give her a huge amount of pain.
Yu Holea gritted her teeth and stood there.
At the same time, she wrapped herself with another layer of her mystic energy.
Another bolt of lightning streaked across the sky, aiming for Yu Holea with an intense ferocity.
Yu Holea’s mind was filled with a single word.
Pain!
Since she was a Heaven Rank cultivator, there was no sign of getting burnt.
But if anyone was in Yu Holea’s place they would realize how painful it was to be struck by the lightning.
Yu Holea suddenly thought of something.
Her master once said,
"If someone gives you advice and you feel that he doesn’t hold any malice toward you, try to find the meaning behind their words."
When Yu Holea remembered these words, she started thinking about Zephyr’s words and came to a conclusion.
According to Zephyr the power from the artifact weakens a person’s mental strength, so does that mean even their physical strength is weakened?
If it is then a person needs to temper their mind and body both at the same time while cultivating.
Logically speaking cultivating both will consume a lot of time, excluding the actual cultivation.
So if there is a way to speed up either of the cultivation then it will lot more beneficial.
Lightning can never increase mental strength so it might be useful in body cultivation.
Wait!
Lightning can be used to temper the body.
Maybe this tribulation is not a punishment but more like preparation for the upcoming cultivation.
Thinking so Yu Holea made up her mind.
It was only after thinking so much that she realized that she still had not suffered another bolt of lightning.
Maybe...maybe it was giving her the time to channel the lightning in her meridians.
Even though the process will be painful, who has ever gained anything without enduring pain?
Hence Yu Holea sat down in a lotus position and channeled the lightning in her meridans.
"Ahhhh."
It was an excruciating experience for Yu Holea as she consciously channeled the lightning through her meridians.
The electrifying bolts surged through her body, each jolt causing an intense agony that tested her endurance.
Yu Holea continued doing it with the rest of the lightning bolts.
The tribulation continued, each lightning strike pushing her to the brink of her endurance.
The raw power of the thunderous assault threatened to overwhelm her defenses.
After a long while the black clouds slowly dissipated and Yu Holea lay on the grass tiredly.
Her skin had turned a little black and her smooth silky hair was entirely charred and stood up.
But Yu Holea didn’t have any time to pity herself.
She realized that her power had reached almost null and her entire body was aching.
She didn’t have any power to lift a finger.
Realizing that she was in a vulnerable position, Yu Holea entered her space and dragged her body towards the pond.
She directly jumped into the pond and closed her eyes.
For the next 2 hours, Yu Holea fell asleep in the pond.
All the injuries were healed and since the density of the water was low, even though Yu Holea had slipped into the pond, she was floating in the pond instead of drowning.
After sleeping for another 2 hours, Yu Holea finally opened her eyes.
She sensed that Yun Jilang and others had been awake.
Yu Holea reluctantly dragged her tired body out of the pond and changed into neat clothes.
Luckily she had stored 4 pairs of clean clothes in her space.
Yu Holea took a deep breath and except for Celestial Master Song, she dragged everyone out of the space.
Since Yun Jilang and others were blindfolded and Wen Su and Nan Yong were still unconscious, they didn’t know that they were dragged out of the space.
However, Yun Jilang indeed felt that the environment had changed rapidly.
The fresh air was replaced by smelly air and even the light feeling that he felt earlier was gone.
Even the soft grass under him was replaced by rough ground.
Yu Holea unfolded all 4 of them.
It took them some time to adjust to the light and finally, Yun Jilang said,
"Master Yu, are you okay?"
He asked this because Yu Holea had a tired look on her face, even her aura was weakened a lot.
There were also some scratches on her body but at the same time, her skin was much more glowing than before.
Even her body was looking a bit different.
Yun Jilang couldn’t pinpoint what was different in Yu Holea, but he felt that her overall physique had improved.
Yu Holea nodded her head and before others could ask, she said,
"I want to talk about something. Personally."
She emphasized the word ’personally’
Yun Jilang understood that it was something important.
He went into a corner with Yu Holea who asked in a straightforward manner,
"Do you have any contact with the Special Force Department?"
Though stunned as to why Yu Holea wanted to contact Special Force Department suddenly Yun Jilang nodded his head and gave her the contacts.
Yu Holea dialed the number and informed about the situation.
In order to avoid any trouble, Yu Holea directly revealed her identity as a student of Jackson High School.
The person on the other side was surprised but he hurriedly improved his attitude and said that they would deal with the matter of those lizard-type humans.
Yu Holea didn’t mention the whereabouts of Celestial Master Song since she planned first to investigate him and then hand him over to the Special Force Department.
After half an hour, some people in blue uniforms came there.
There were 2 women and one man in the team.
Yu Holea sensed their aura and knew that they were superpower users.
The team arrived in front of Yu Holea because just like Yu Holea they too sensed the abnormal aura around her.
Yu Holea greeted them and recounted all the things that happened.
One of the women asked,
"So you mean to say that he ran away with that artifact after he was heavily injured?"
Yu Holea nodded.
The first woman chuckled and said,
"Just now you said that he can’t leave the cave because of the power restriction..."
However before she could finish, the other woman interrupted her and said,
"Didn’t you listen? He was heavily injured and most likely lost the power he had borrowed from the artifact and hence was able to escape the cave."
The first woman snorted and said nothing.
The second woman ignored her and said in a friendly manner,
"Hello, I am Luo Bin. Please ignore my colleague, now about the case we will handle it, you all can leave except for that police officer."
Yu Holea heaved a sigh of relief and nodded.
Then she looked at the lizard-type human one last time and asked,
"What about them?"
Luo Bin glanced at them and said,
"We will try to find a cure for them."
Yu Holea nodded and left with all the other businessmen.
In fact, she knew that the special police officer was lying to her.
"Luo Bin are you crazy? Why didn’t you let me interrogate her?"
The first woman argued.
Luo Bin looked at her and said calmly,
"You too know that the appearance of that little girl shows how incompetent we have become."
The man who was silent till now said,
"Why was such a case handed to normal police in the first place?"
Yun Jilang too had the same question.
The first woman snorted and Luo Bin glared at her and said to the man,
"Of course, such a case was initially assigned to us but because of some stubborn people who believed that a serial killer was behind all of this, this case was passed to the normal police officer."
The man sighed.
The first woman knew that they were talking about her and said angrily,
"Oh really? Okay, it was indeed my mistake, but why didn’t you let me interrogate her? Don’t you think that it is a little strange for her to appear here when usually Jun is the one who handles such stuff?"
Qiao Jun was indeed responsible for solving all those cases that escaped the eyesight of the Special Force Department.
