Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All-Chapter 263: Zombie Virus?
Chapter 263: Chapter 263: Zombie Virus?
Yu Holea was a little sad but she forced herself to not look at her phone and started studying for her exams.
Since she had been preparing for her exams for a long time, her preparations were almost done.
Currently, she is busy revising the subjects.
...
In the tomb.
"Dr. Leng, how far do we have to walk? Why haven’t we reached till now?" one of the archaeologists complained.
Dr. Leng wiped the sweat on his head and remained silent.
Even he didn’t know why it was taking so long for them to reach the inner chamber.
Suddenly one of the archaeologists staggered and fell.
"Murong Fan!"
Everyone surrounded Murong Fan who was panting hard and asked worriedly,
"What happened Murong Fan? Are you tired? Are you hungry?"
But Murong Fan didn’t reply to them at all and instead just lowered his head.
Dr. Leng said,
"Let me see him."
Everyone made a way for Dr. Leng who flashed a light on Murong Fan and tried to lift his head, but suddenly he felt a bite on his hand.
"Ah!"
Dr. Leng screamed.
"Dr. Leng? Dr. Leng, are you okay?"
"Oh god, what is happening?"
Everyone started to panic, and when someone flashed a light at Dr. Leng they saw a horrifying scene.
Dr. Leng’s finger was bleeding and the area of injury around his finger had turned black.
"God! What is that."
"I don’t know!"
"Hey is that Zombie virus?" one of the people said.
He had read many novels where the zombie virus starts after a group of explorers enter an ancient tomb. ƒreewebɳovel.com
He was a middle-aged man with shoulder-length hair and had short height, hence he was called Shorty.
"What the f*ck are you saying shorty? If you can’t say anything good, can you shut the f*ck up!" someone replied.
Yet everyone started to move away from Dr. Leng and Murong Fan.
Dr. Leng was currently busy observing the injury and hence didn’t comment on their action but he noted down in his heart the reaction of everyone.
Seeing the black area starting to spread, he put his hand in his pocket.
When everyone saw how Dr. Leng’s injury was spreading, all of them gulped and said one by one,
"Dr. Leng, I don’t want to continue to explore anymore, I remember I have some important work to finish, so I will leave too."
"Oh! I too remember, I have very important work, I will leave."
....
And just like that 7 archaeologists left, leaving behind only 3 archaeologists.
Out of which one was afraid and the other two were genuinely worried about Dr. Leng.
One of them was the shorty who previously said about Zombie Virus, in fact, he was afraid and wanted to leave but he didn’t have the courage.
Dr. Leng saw the retreating back of the 7 archaeologists and sighed.
Then he took out a yellow paper from his pocket with a doubtful look.
Even though his daughter had said that this paper could heal every injury, he didn’t have much hope.
Not like he didn’t believe in talismans.
As a person having superpowers, he believed in the existence of powerful talismans.
But the yellow paper didn’t look mighty to him at all.
However, the pain in his finger didn’t let him have any second thoughts and he placed the talisman on his wound.
For the next one minute, nothing happened and a mocking smile appeared on his face.
See.
Nothing happened! What was he even expecting?
At the same time, Dr. Leng started panicking a little.
He put away the talisman and took out various medicines from his bag.
But even after applying, each of them there wasn’t much effect.
The black area was spreading quickly and it had reached his wrist by now.
Dr. Leng felt a bit helpless and heard the shorty said,
"Why don’t you cut your hand off? Maybe it will stop spreading."
Dr. Leng glared at him and said,
"If is it so easy to cut a hand, why don’t you try it yourself? You try it first and I will follow your example."
Shorty instantly shook his head and stepped back a few steps.
Dr. Leng ignored him and started thinking about what to do.
Should he really cut his hand off?
Or should he go out and ask for help?
But he was sure that by the time he reached out of the tomb, he would die.
His two assistant were also racking their brain to help him out while the shorty was trying to find something in his bag.
Just then Dr. Leng remembered something.
His daughter had said to him to flick the talismans.
But he had placed on his wound.
Should he flick it?
Dr. Leng hesitantly took out the talisman again and was about to flick it when he heard Shorty say,
"I am sorry Dr. Leng, I am doing it just for my defense and safety."
Dr. Leng was confused and turned around only to find Shorty walking towards him with a knife with killing intent in his eyes.
Before Dr. Leng could react, shorty had already pierced the knife in Dr. Leng’s neck.
Dr. Leng flicked the talismans before pushing away shorty.
Shorty didn’t get time to dodge and fell on the ground, but a smile remained on his face and he said with an excited expression,
"I have killed a zombie! I have killed a zombie!"
Shorty was scared but the thought that he might become the first person to kill the zombie and gain some special system gave him the confidence to attack Dr. Leng.
Dr. Leng gritted his teeth because of the pain and he felt his life force fading.
His assistant ran towards him to help but Dr. Leng knew that he was done for and no one could save him.
Just then the talisman that he flicked floated in the air, and golden light surrounded the talismans.
Then the talisman started emitting a soft, pulsating glow.
The golden light emanating from the talisman encased Dr. Leng’s body, wrapping around his injured hand and neck.
A warm sensation enveloped him, contrasting sharply with the agony he had been enduring moments before.
The spreading darkness on his hand and neck halted abruptly.
The black area slowly receded, retreating back to the injury sites.
As the darkness dissipated, a soothing energy replaced the excruciating pain, leaving Dr. Leng feeling revitalized.
The two archaeologists stared in awe as they witnessed the miraculous scene unfold before their eyes.
Shorty, lying on the ground, watched in astonishment, his previous excitement now replaced by confusion and disbelief.
The talisman continued to emit its radiant glow, casting a healing aura around Dr. Leng.
The injuries on his hand and neck gradually disappeared, leaving behind unblemished skin, devoid of any trace of the previous affliction.
Dr. Leng blinked, still in disbelief at what had just transpired.
He flexed his hand and moved his neck, finding no remnants of the injury or pain that had tormented him moments ago.
"It worked... It actually worked," Dr. Leng murmured, awe and relief evident in his voice.
When he informed his daughter that he was going on an exploration, his daughter was very worried and handed him 5 talismans, she claimed that it was made by a legendary talismans master, but Dr. Leng didn’t believe her.
However now he was slapped on his face!
Dr. Leng shook his head and looked at Shorty,
"Why did you attack me?"
Shorty was muttering to himself,
"Impossible! Impossible! What was that golden thing? What is some treasure...."
But his muttering stopped when he heard Dr. Leng’s question and instantly said with a pitiful expression,
"I am sorry! I am sorry! I...I thought that you would harm others and I wanted to stop you hence..."
Dr. Leng narrowed his eyes, he was about to say something when a low growl sounded.
Everyone flashed their torch in the direction from which the voice was coming and was stunned.
"Murong...Murong Fan?"
No...he wasn’t Murong Fan now....his entire body turned greyish black and a rotting smell was coming from him.
"Has he become a zombie?" Shorty asked.
But this time no one had time to answer him and Dr. Leng said to 2 assistants,
"Run!"
The two assistants needed no further prompting.
Reacting swiftly to Dr. Leng’s urgent command, they turned and bolted toward the exit of the tomb, their hearts pounding with fear and adrenaline.
Shorty, still on the ground, remained frozen in shock.
His attempt to attack Dr. Leng had ended in a failed and terrifying turn of events.
His initial excitement about ’killing a zombie’ had dissipated, replaced now by sheer terror at the unfolding chaos.
"Shorty Run!" One of the assistants said.
Shorty looked at Murong Fan who had now changed his target and screamed,
"Ahh!"
Dr. Leng gritted his teeth, took a bunch of talismans, and threw it at Murong Fan.
The Fire talisman, launched by Dr. Leng, hit Murong Fan square in the chest, engulfing him in flames.
