Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All-Chapter 786: R*pe
Chapter 786: Chapter 786: R*pe
Yu Shuchang felt his chest tighten.
"...Are you sure?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
She nodded.
He stared at her for a long time, then slowly reached into his drawer, pulled out a checkbook, and began writing.
"I’ll take care of the expenses," he said, not looking up. "You won’t have to worry."
Susan’s eyes filled with tears. She took a shaky breath.
"You really think this is about money?" she whispered, voice cracking.
"I never wanted it to end like this. I won’t contact you again. I won’t let you near my child."
Yu Shuchang frowned deeply, standing now. "I was drunk that night. But you weren’t. You knew what you were doing. Why did you sleep with me?"
Her jaw clenched.
Then, finally, she spoke, her words falling out like knives.
"Because I’ve loved you since I was seventeen."
Yu Shuchang flinched.
"I entered this industry not for fame, not for dreams," Susan said through clenched teeth.
"I wanted to be close to you. I studied everything about you, all your movies, your interviews. I knew what food you liked, what music you hated.
I worked my way up from the bottom just to become your assistant one day."
Yu Shuchang stared at her, stunned.
And then, coldly, bitterly, he laughed.
"If you really knew me," he said, his eyes like steel, "then you’d know....I never hire female assistants."
"I thought you would make an exception!" Susan shouted with tears in her eyes.
"Like you did when you got into my bed? Susan, you do realise that I love Sheng Yin, and by doing what you did with me, you destroyed all the chances I could have to be with Sheng Yin.
You knew I loved her, but selfishly, you forced yourself on me. That is r*pe! I can sue you. Are you proud to r*pe the man you claim to love?
What did you expect? Huh? I will have a flash marriage with you because you have a baby, and then fall in love with you? Stupid woman! That only happens in novels!" Anger flashed in Yu Shuchang’s eyes.
The present Yu Shuchang wanted to applaud the past Yu Shuchang.
Susan stood frozen, her lips parted in shock.
The word r*pe echoed in the air like thunder.
Her hands trembled, the blood draining from her face. "I-I didn’t...."
"You did," Yu Shuchang snapped, voice cold and sharp.
"You knew I wasn’t in the right state. I couldn’t even stand properly. And you still chose to do that."
Susan stepped back as if struck. "I didn’t mean to hurt you..."
"Didn’t mean?" he said bitterly, laughing again, hollow and empty. "You dressed like her.
You created the entire situation! Don’t pretend this was a mistake."
Tears finally spilled down Susan’s cheeks. "I just... I just wanted you to see me. Just once. Not as an assistant, not as a shadow. As a woman who’s loved you for years..."
Yu Shuchang’s hands curled into fists at his sides.
"You could’ve walked away. You could’ve respected what I felt for Sheng Yin. But no. You chose this."
"I didn’t want to trap you!" she cried, voice shaking.
"I never planned to get pregnant. I just... I couldn’t control it. I couldn’t stop myself..."
"And now I’m supposed to feel what....sorry for you?" he asked, eyes burning with fury. "Do you even hear yourself?"
Susan’s mouth opened, but no words came.
"You ruined everything," Yu Shuchang said in a low voice.
Clenching his fist, Yu Shuchang took a deep breath and said,
"I will give you two options. Option one: abort the baby, I will not sue you. Option two, give birth to the baby, I will find a family for him and put you in jail."
Susan’s legs gave out, and she collapsed onto the chair, sobbing.
Susan collapsed onto the chair, sobbing, her whole body shaking as Yu Shuchang turned away from her without a trace of mercy left in his eyes.
"I didn’t mean for it to be like this," she cried. "Please don’t take my baby... please don’t put me in jail..."
Yu Shuchang didn’t look back.
"You made your choices, Susan," he said coldly. "Now live with the consequences."
Her sobs echoed behind him as he strode out of the room, his heart heavy but steady. The hallway outside was quiet, the silence almost unnatural.
Just as he reached the corner, his bodyguard rushed up to him.
"Mr. Yu," the man said, breathless. "Miss Sheng Yin is here. She said she wanted to speak with you."
Yu Shuchang’s heart skipped.
Now? Of all times?
He almost opened his mouth to tell the bodyguard to send her away, that he wasn’t ready to face her... not like this, not when he was drowning in guilt and pain.
But then....
The floor trembled.
The walls groaned.
The ground began to shake violently beneath their feet.
An earthquake.
"Get everyone out!" Yu Shuchang shouted, already breaking into a run. "Where’s Sheng Yin?!"
"She was in the main corridor near the west lounge...."
Yu Shuchang didn’t wait. He sprinted.
Behind him, he heard Susan’s terrified voice as she ran after him.
"Shuchang! Wait....!"
But he didn’t stop.
He ran past shattering glass, falling debris, and terrified staff members rushing for the exits.
His only thought: Sheng Yin.
As he turned a corner and reached the west corridor, his eyes locked onto her.
She stood frozen in place, staring up at the ceiling where a massive chandelier, swaying wildly, had begun to break loose from its base.
"Sheng Yin!" Yu Shuchang screamed.
She turned, wide-eyed, just as the chandelier snapped free.
Without a second of hesitation, Yu Shuchang lunged forward and threw himself over her.
CRASH!
The chandelier slammed into the floor behind him, sending shards of glass and steel everywhere. A piece of it struck his leg, sharp pain shooting through his body.
But he didn’t care.
He wrapped his arms tighter around Sheng Yin, shielding her with his own body.
The floor beneath them cracked.
Dust and debris filled the air.
They were trapped.
Sheng Yin trembled beneath him. "Shuchang... are you okay?"
"I’m fine," he grunted, even as he gritted his teeth in pain. He glanced at his bleeding leg....it wasn’t broken, but it hurt like hell. "We have to move."
He pushed the chandelier aside with effort, helping her crawl out.
Just as they made it to the hallway, another deep rumble tore through the building.
A wall groaned....and then collapsed.
Not far from them, Susan screamed.
"Shuchang....help!"
He turned and saw her on the ground, her leg pinned under a slab of concrete. Her hands reached out, eyes wide with terror.
Sheng Yin gripped Yu Shuchang’s arm. "Don’t go....your leg...."
Yu Shuchang looked between the two women.
Susan, crying for help.
For a moment, Yu Shuchang wanted to stand and let Susan die.
Sheng Yin, frightened, held onto him.
Then came a terrible sound....crack!....as part of the ceiling behind them began to give way.
Yu Shuchang made a choice.
"Go," he told Sheng Yin, helping her stand. "Run. I’ll be right behind you."
"No....Shuchang...."
"GO!"
He turned and ran toward Susan, limping hard but determined.
Susan cried harder when she saw him approaching. "Shuchang! Please!"
He was almost there when another wall collapsed behind him.
BOOM!
He turned....only to see Sheng Yin, who hadn’t left, buried beneath the debris.
"No!"
Without thinking, Yu Shuchang ran back, leaving Susan behind.
The ceiling above creaked dangerously as he dropped to his knees beside the rubble.
"Sheng Yin!" he shouted, digging through the debris with his bare hands. "I’m here....hold on!"
Her face was half-covered in dust, but she was alive, barely conscious.
"Shuchang..." she whispered weakly.
"It’s okay. I’ve got you," he said.
With every ounce of strength, he pulled the beam off her, ignoring the pain in his leg. Blood was running down his arm now from a cut on his shoulder.
Finally, he dragged her free.
He could hear the building groaning, seconds from full collapse.
But he didn’t stop. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
He pulled her into his arms, shielding her again as they crawled toward the exit.
And then....
The ceiling caved in.
A heavy beam crashed down onto Yu Shuchang’s back.
He grunted, the wind knocked out of him, but he didn’t let go of her.
He pushed forward one last time, shoving her out of the collapsing doorway.
Sheng Yin rolled out into the open, coughing, barely able to lift her head.
She turned around....
"Shuchang!"
But he didn’t move.
Dust filled the air.
Wood. Stone. Blood.
Yu Shuchang’s hand, once clinging tightly to hers, slipped away.
His body remained buried beneath the ruins. He never made it out.
Sheng Yin screamed. But it was too late.
Yu Shuchang had chosen her. And given his life.
Then what about Sheng Yin?
Yu Shuchang thought.
If he died, then why would Sheng Yin have a second life? How did she die?
His question was answered because the scene changed, and the scene of his funeral appeared.
Everyone was crying at his funeral. Even Yu Holea. While Sheng Yin stared at his photo as if she was dead.
