Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All-Chapter 788: Dealing With Susan
Chapter 788: Chapter 788: Dealing With Susan
Sheng Yin looked into Yu Shuchang’s eyes, her rage slowly melting into something softer, something sadder.
She stepped into his embrace and wrapped her arms around him tightly.
"I’m sorry," she whispered into his chest. "I should’ve talked to you. I should’ve said something earlier."
Yu Shuchang shook his head, running his fingers gently through her hair.
"No, Yinyin. It wasn’t your fault." He pulled back enough to look at her.
"It was mine. I believed what Qi Bailu said without asking you. I let my insecurities win. I should’ve talked to you instead of assuming the worst."
Sheng Yin smiled, watery but real, and shook her head. "We were both stupid."
"Maybe," Yu Shuchang admitted with a small laugh. "But I think I was a little more stupid than you."
She laughed too, the sound breaking the heavy air around them.
"But," he added with a teasing glint in his eyes, "you misunderstood me, doubted my loyalty. So I think you owe me something. I deserve compensation."
Sheng Yin raised an eyebrow, her tone playful. "What kind of compensation?"
His smirk widened. "Two days of uninterrupted honeymoon."
Before she could reply, he had already scooped her up into his arms, making her yelp.
And so, for the next two days, the newlyweds didn’t step outside.
By the time the sun rose on the third day, Sheng Yin lay on the bed, buried under blankets, hair a mess, eyes barely open.
Her body ached in places she didn’t even know could ache.
"Yu Shuchang," she groaned, voice hoarse. "If you don’t let me out of this house today, I swear—I’ll fight you till the end of time."
She meant it. Every muscle in her body screamed for rest, and her brain was foggy from all the vigorous activity they’d done.
Meanwhile, Yu Shuchang looked fresh, practically glowing with energy, a towel slung over his shoulder as he walked out of the bathroom humming.
"You’re right," he said cheerfully. "We should return to work. The crew must be waiting."
Sheng Yin blinked, then shot up in bed. "Wait—oh god! The shoot!"
She scrambled to the bathroom, shooting him a glare on her way past.
Yu Shuchang chuckled to himself.
—
Later that morning, they arrived on set. After greeting a few crew members, Sheng Yin headed straight to her vanity room.
She sat down in front of the mirror, frowning.
Susan hadn’t contacted her once. Not a call. Not a message.
Sheng Yin pulled out her phone and dialed.
Switched off.
Her frown deepened.
"Is she avoiding me?" she muttered.
She was just about to call the company to request a new assistant when the door to the vanity room opened.
A young woman in her early twenties stepped in, wearing a crisp white blouse and a polite smile.
"Hi, Miss Sheng. I’m your new assistant—Tang Qian. Mr. Yu hired me."
Sheng Yin blinked. "You’re... new? Already? What about Susan?"
Tang Qian’s expression didn’t change. "Mr. Yu was informed that Miss Susan fled the country two nights ago. He arranged for me to take over immediately."
Sheng Yin’s jaw dropped. "She what?"
Tang Qian nodded. "She booked a flight under a different name and left. Mr. Yu tracked her before she could disappear."
Stunned, Sheng Yin could only nod slowly. "I’ll deal with her after the shoot..."
—
Meanwhile, across the ocean, in an abandoned warehouse surrounded by trees and silence, Susan sat tied to a chair.
Her face was pale, hair a mess, her lips trembling as she stared at the man before her.
"Let me go!" she shouted. "Yu Shuchang will not forgive you for this! I’m carrying his child!"
The man raised an eyebrow. "You’ve said that ten times."
"I’m serious! There’s going to be an earthquake soon—at his office! He’s in danger!"
That made the man pause. He narrowed his eyes. "What did you say?"
Susan nodded eagerly. "He’s going to die if he doesn’t leave right now! I saw it—I know it’s going to happen!"
The man stepped aside, pulled out his phone, and called.
"Boss. She’s saying something strange. Says an earthquake’s going to hit your office. Says you’ll die. Claims she’s pregnant. Should I... believe her?"
There was a pause on the line.
Then Yu Shuchang’s voice came through, calm and sharp.
"She’s lying. Ignore her. Continue with the plan."
"Yes, sir."
The call ended.
Susan’s face fell. "No... no, wait! He has to believe me! I saw it! He’s going to die!"
She screamed until her throat went raw, but no one came.
She had no idea where she was.
The car ride was long, the windows blacked out.
When the blindfold was removed, she found herself in a rural, unfamiliar town. The language was foreign. The people stared like she was an alien.
Her passport, phone, and wallet—gone.
All that remained were the clothes on her back.
"You’ll never find your way back," the man had told her. "This is where your story ends."
Then he left.
No money. No phone. No identification. No clue where she was.
Susan collapsed in the dusty alleyway, trembling.
She was well and truly alone.
Back in the city, Yu Shuchang stood by his car under the night sky, arms crossed as he waited for Sheng Yin to wrap up her scene.
A breeze rolled past, carrying the faint scent of makeup and camera equipment.
He wasn’t just relieved—it was satisfaction. The kind that came from knowing justice had finally been served.
Susan would never hurt anyone again.
Sheng Yin emerged from the set moments later, her steps light, though a bit tired.
Sliding into the passenger seat, she let out a breath. "I can’t believe Susan just ran off like that. I’m going to find her after this project ends."
Yu Shuchang started the car and drove off calmly.
"There’s no need," he said casually. "She’s been dealt with."
Sheng Yin turned to him, eyebrow raised. "Dealt with?"
He nodded, eyes focused on the road. "She’s not coming back."
She stared at him for a moment, then simply leaned back in her seat.
As much as she hated Susan, she knew one thing for certain: the person who suffered the most in that mess wasn’t her.
It was Yu Shuchang.
And if he said it was handled, she trusted him.

The next morning, Yu Shuchang greeted her with an unusual twinkle in his eyes.
"The director’s daughter is having a birthday party on set today. You’re invited."
"Really?" Sheng Yin asked, brushing her hair. "Is it like a formal event or something?"
"Yes, but there’s more." He grinned. "Since you’re the female lead, there’s a small promotional event being held too. So you’ll need to look stunning."
He clapped his hands, and a team of stylists entered the room like a battalion.
"Hair, dress, makeup—all covered. Top professionals."
Sheng Yin rolled her eyes but smiled. "You’re making a big deal out of this."
He leaned closer, whispering, "Because you deserve it." fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓
A few hours later, Sheng Yin stepped out of the dressing room wearing a breathtaking blue gown that shimmered like the night sky.
Her hair was curled into soft waves, pinned back just enough to show her delicate features.
Yu Shuchang stared at her for a good few seconds before saying, completely awestruck, "You look like a goddess."
Sheng Yin blushed. "You’re embarrassing."
But his eyes held sincerity, and something warmer—adoration.
When they arrived at the location, Yu Shuchang parked the car and handed her a small note.
"Go on inside. I’ll join you in a minute."
She opened the door and stepped into the building.
It was dark.
She paused, confused.
Then—spotlight.
A warm white light fell on her, and a soft piano melody began to play.
Yu Shuchang’s voice rang out, rich and smooth:
"From the shadows you pulled me,When I forgot how to dream. Now you’re the reason I breathe,The calm to my raging sea..."
Her eyes widened in disbelief.
The lights flicked on.
And the entire hall was flooded with roses—red, white, and blush.
Everyone was there.
Reporters. Cameramen. Staff. Co-actors. The Yu family. Yu Holea.
They stood around the edges, smiling and clapping softly.
Yu Shuchang walked forward, holding a velvet box.
He took the mic. "At first, I only looked after you because you were my sister’s best friend. But then... I started seeing you."
He turned to her.
"Not just as a friend. Not even just as a woman. But as someone I couldn’t live without."
He knelt down.
"I’ve loved you through heartbreak, through silence, even through lifetimes. I don’t want to wait anymore."
He opened the box.
"Sheng Yin. Will you marry me?"
Tears rolled down her cheeks.
She covered her mouth, overwhelmed.
Then nodded.
"Yes," she whispered.
The room exploded with applause.

Meanwhile, in a quiet library lit by the golden light of afternoon, Fu Jian sat at a corner table.
A medical textbook was spread out in front of him, notes scattered everywhere. He balanced an ice cream cone in one hand, flipping pages with the other.
Suddenly, a hand reached from behind and plucked the cone right out of his grasp.
