Ghost Exorciser: Is Loved By All-Chapter 792: Kong Wan
Chapter 792: Chapter 792: Kong Wan
Fu Jian glared at him, cheeks flushed pink. "Stop calling me that," he muttered, voice low but firm.
Yu Sicong tilted his head with a lazy smile, clearly not taking the warning seriously. "Why not? It suits you."
"It doesn’t," Fu Jian snapped. "We’re not—"
"Not what?" Yu Sicong stepped closer, invading his space again. His eyes, usually guarded, now shimmered with something raw, unfiltered. "Not dating? Not official? Not married?"
Fu Jian opened his mouth, then shut it again.
Yu Sicong leaned in, voice barely above a whisper. "Then give me a chance to change that."
Fu Jian looked up at him, frustration bubbling behind his eyes. "You think a kiss makes up for everything? You kept all this hidden. You never told me anything. You just... acted from the shadows like I was some kind of mission."
Yu Sicong’s smile faltered. He looked down for a moment, his expression more serious now. "I know. I messed up. I should’ve been honest. But I was scared, Jian. I liked you so much it made me stupid."
"That’s not an excuse," Fu Jian said quietly. "Liking someone shouldn’t mean hiding everything from them."
"I didn’t want you to think I was weird or clingy," Yu Sicong admitted. "I just... wanted to protect you. Even if it meant doing it from afar."
Fu Jian sighed, shoulders sagging slightly. "You’re still weird. And clingy. And annoying."
Yu Sicong perked up. "But you kissed back."
"That was instinct."
"Instinct, huh?" He grinned, clearly enjoying himself again. "So your instincts like me."
Fu Jian groaned and turned to leave again, but Yu Sicong caught his wrist one more time.
"I’m not asking you to forgive me right now," he said, more softly this time.
Fu Jian would be silent before shaking his head,
"No."
Yu Sicong smiled bitterly. He knew Fu Jian’s personality. He was stubborn to the core, and if he made a decision, it would be difficult to change his mind.
In the end, he could only walk up to his car and open the passenger door seat for Fu Jian, who ignored him and opened the backseat.
Yu Sicong walked toward the driver’s seat.
....................................
For the next few days, Yu Sicong couldn’t sit still.
He was never someone who liked waiting, and definitely not when it came to Fu Jian. Every time he intentionally passed by the library and saw Fu Jian working alone at his usual seat by the window, head bent over notes and laptop open, something tugged at his chest.
He tried to approach once.
"Jian," he said, keeping his voice low.
Fu Jian didn’t even look up. "I’m busy."
"I just—"
"I said I’m busy."
The words were like a cold slap. Yu Sicong didn’t push. He stood there for a few seconds longer, then turned and walked away.
The next day, he tried again. This time, Fu Jian wore noise-canceling headphones.
The third day, Yu Sicong sat at a nearby table for an hour, just watching, hoping Fu Jian might acknowledge him. He didn’t.
Eventually, Yu Sicong gave up.
When Fu Jian packed up his bag and walked out of the library, Yu Sicong followed him quietly until they reached the parking lot.
"I have a meeting," Yu Sicong said as he unlocked the car. "Business trip. I’ll be gone for two days."
Fu Jian paused, then nodded without a word.
No "safe travels." No "come back soon." Not even a glance.
Yu Sicong’s hand tightened around his keys. But he didn’t say anything. He just got in the car and drove away.
........................................
For the next two days, no one disturbed Fu Jian.
No text messages. No surprise, coffee deliveries. No dumb nicknames like "wife" or "my precious husband."
Just silence.
And somehow, that was worse.
He sat on his bed, staring at the ceiling, a little stuffed bear clutched in one hand.
It had been a random gift from Yu Sicong a few years ago—some ridiculous Charity’s Day excuse. He’d laughed it off then, but now... it stared at him with its dumb stitched smile.
"Idiot," Fu Jian muttered, poking its nose. "I chased him every day, never missed a single chance to show I cared. And what did he do? Left. Two whole days. Just vanished."
The bear said nothing.
"Bet he’s not even thinking about me," Fu Jian grumbled. "Maybe he’s flirting with someone else already. Probably some big-shot business partner with a fancy car and muscles."
The bear continued to be useless.
"Fine," Fu Jian said, sitting up. "If he can disappear for two days, so can I."
............................................
That evening, he accepted an invitation from Gu Nian, one of the more persistent admirers who had hovered around him during quieter days.
Gu Nian took him to a rooftop restaurant, all glittering lights and sleek furniture. The food was fancy, the music soft, and the air filled with artificial charm.
Gu Nian was handsome, well-dressed, and had a wallet thicker than his personality.
"You know," Gu Nian said, swirling his wine, "a guy like you shouldn’t waste time on someone who doesn’t know your worth. If you were mine, I’d make sure everyone knew it."
Fu Jian stared at his steak, bored.
"I’m serious. Look, I have money, a car, and a condo downtown. I’m going places. You should choose me before some other bottom snatches me away."
Fu Jian blinked. "That was the most romantic threat I’ve ever heard."
Gu Nian laughed, thinking it was a compliment.
Fu Jian stood up. "I’m leaving."
But just as he turned, a voice called out—sharp and familiar.
"Well, well. Look who it is."
Fu Jian turned and immediately wanted to walk straight into traffic.
Kong Wan.
Still wearing her too-tight dress, her glossy lips puffed out unnaturally, she sauntered over with her usual exaggerated sway.
"Didn’t expect to see you here, sweetheart," she cooed. "Though, I guess it makes sense. Sicong isn’t enough to keep you satisfied, huh?"
Fu Jian narrowed his eyes. "What do you want?"
Kong Wan didn’t answer him. Instead, she turned to Gu Nian, pretending to inspect him.
"Hm... you look familiar. Don’t tell me—Felix Corporation, right?"
Gu Nian straightened nervously. "Uh... yes."
Kong Wan’s smirk widened. "Thought so. I’m very well-acquainted with your boss."
Gu Nian blinked. "You... know him?"
"More than that. He’s my date tonight."
As if on cue, a man in a sharp suit walked up behind her. The CEO of Felix Corporation. He greeted her with a kiss on the cheek.
Gu Nian went pale.
Kong Wan saw it and pounced. "Maybe your boss wouldn’t like hearing how you treated me, Gu Nian. Hm?"
Gu Nian looked from Kong Wan to his boss, then back to Fu Jian, panicked.
"I think you should ask your date to apologize to me," Kong Wan said sweetly.
"Right now. Or should I let your boss know what kind of disrespect you were showing?"
Gu Nian turned quickly to Fu Jian. "Jian, I—I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to sound pushy or rude, but can you please apologize to her?"
Fu Jian looked at Gu Nian in disbelief.
In his entire chasing journey, never once had Yu Sicong had asked him to apologize to anyone.
Even when some of the scheming guys had tried to frame him, Yu Sicong subtly always sided with him and never made him apologize to anyone!
And now... his very own persistent admirer, who claimed to love him more than Yu Sicong, wants him to apologize just because of a job?
Not that Fu Jian didn’t care, but if Gu Nian wanted to save his job, he should apologize. Why was he dragging Fu Jian, too?

"I won’t." He said firmly.
Gu Nian’s eyes widened in disbelief, and he said,
"You... how can you be rude? Don’t you care about me?"
Fu Jian held up a hand. "Stop."
He turned slowly to face both of them, voice smooth and sharp as a blade.
"Oh wow. This is actually impressive. A whole circus act and I didn’t even have to buy tickets."
Kong Wan blinked, caught off guard. "What—"
"You," Fu Jian said, pointing at her. "Still obsessed with a college fantasy where Yu Sicong was somehow your prince? Girl, he never even saw you. The only thing more inflated than your ego are your lips."
Gu Nian gasped. Kong Wan’s mouth opened in shock.
"And you," Fu Jian turned to Gu Nian, "congratulations. You managed to take me out on the world’s most awkward date and make it about you. If I wanted someone with money and no brains, I’d date my calculator."
Kong Wan stepped forward, face red. "How dare you—"
Fu Jian cut her off. "No. How dare you walk around acting like you’re above everyone just because you had some fans in college and Botox now? You’re not a queen. You’re a footnote."
Kong Wan was furious, and she turned to Gu Nian,
"If he leaves without apologizing, I will make sure you are fired."
