Xiaoming looked at himself in the mirror after trying out the wedding dress in the morning. A smile formed on his lips, and he thanked the royal tailor for making it so perfect. π˜§π“‡π’†π—²π“Œπ™šπ™—π“·oπ˜·π’†π˜.πœπš˜π’Ž

Sun Fuguo complimented Xiaoming and informed him that Liu Jin Yu was looking beautiful too in the wedding outfit.

β€œReally?” Xiaoming asked Sun Fuguo to describe about her, but he was unable to.

β€œLeave it,” Xiaoming said, and then asked them to wait outside. After he changed into the other outfit, he came to the main chamber. He handed his wedding outfit to Sun Fuguo and asked him to keep it safe.

β€œYour Highness, the Sixth Prince was here earlier,” Sun Fuguo informed Xiaoming as he took the wedding outfit from him.

β€œDid he leave?” Xiaoming asked.

β€œYes, Your Royal Highness,” Sun Fuguo replied, and lowered his head.

β€œHmm. I will return later in the afternoon,” Xiaoming said, and left to meet LΓ³ng Wei. It was a rare occasion that LΓ³ng Wei would come to see him.

As he reached the manor, he found it was quiet. He could hear the faint voices from somewhere in the manor, but he was unable to understand from where they were coming. He looked around as he continued to walk in the courtyard until he stopped.

.....

He saw Li Hua in the corridor with a maidservant. She was smiling along with the maidservant. However, when she saw Xiaoming, her steps came to a halt. She bowed at him and then both walked to each other. Xiaoming ascended the stairs and asked her about LΓ³ng Wei.

β€œHis Highness has gone out earlier to meet the Crown Prince,” Li Hua replied. β€œWas he not there?” She inquired in confusion.

β€œBrother LΓ³ng Wei had come, but I was busy at work, so I could not meet him. By the time, I got free, Brother LΓ³ng Wei had already left,” Xiaoming informed her. He told her that he would leave and was turning to leave when he stopped to say something.

He looked at her and thanked her for teaching Jin Yu the art of brewing tea.

β€œPlease do not embarrass me with this,” Li Hua said and lowered her eyes. β€œIt was my pleasure that I could help the future Crown Princess,” she affirmed with a polite tone before lifting her head.

Xiaoming smiled to hear those words. He wanted to praise her, but he didn’t want her to get any wrong ideas. Moreover, the maidservant was around them, so it was not wise to say anything good to Li Hua. He took his leave while Li Hua pondered over where LΓ³ng Wei could go.

In the barracks, LΓ³ng Wei’s presence wasn’t welcomed. The high-ranking soldiers glared in his direction, but LΓ³ng Wei wasn’t bothered by it. He wanted to see Hei Chengxi and tell him that he would meet him soon.

Qiu Mu called out his name, and he stopped. He turned to his right and tilted his head to look at Qiu Mu, who had approached him.

β€œWhy are you here?” Qiu Mu dropped honorifics.

β€œDo I have to get the permission of the Second Prince to come here?” He, instead of answering him, questioned him.

Qiu Mu’s jaw clenched. β€œCan’t you just answer simply? Why do you have to twist every word?” He got irked with LΓ³ng Wei.

β€œWhy does my words bother you so much?” LΓ³ng Wei still not stopped from annoying Qiu Mu. He also didn’t talk to Qiu Mu with respect.

β€œLΓ³ng Wei, let’s not argue on this pleasant morning,” Qiu Mu told him. β€œYou are forgetting that in front of a General, how you must behave. This territory is mine, not yours, so don’t flap your wings here.” Qiu Mu had enough of LΓ³ng Wei’s nonsense.

β€œGeneral Mu, shall I throw the Prince out?”

A high-ranking soldier said as he walked to them. LΓ³ng Wei’s facial expression turned into a grim one, and he gazed at that soldier.

β€œMo Shin, that’s not needed,” Qiu Mu stated, and asked LΓ³ng Wei to leave.

β€œI won’t leave,” LΓ³ng Wei said while glaring into the eyes of Mo Shin, and then, Qiu Mu. He turned to go ahead when Mo Shin stopped him by extending his hand out, which had a sword in it.

β€œPrince LΓ³ng Wei, the rules aren’t broken here. Please leave silently before I have to throw you out forcefully,” Mo Shin stated as he scrunched his brows.

LΓ³ng Wei chuckled and took a step towards him. β€œTry me,” he challenged Mo Shin.

Mo Shin grabbed the collar of LΓ³ng Wei. He looked down at his hand and then gazed into his eyes. β€œYou are either too brave to do this or you do not love your life,” LΓ³ng Wei stated. They continued to glare at each other when Qiu Mu instructed Mo Shin to not behave that way with a Prince.

Mo Shin took a step back after releasing his grip on LΓ³ng Wei’s collar.

β€œI won’t forget this,” LΓ³ng Wei told Mo Shin when Hei Chengxi came there and asked them what was happening.

β€œNothing, General Hei,” Mo Shin said. β€œThe Prince was misbehaving with the Second General,” he affirmed.

Hei Chengxi glanced at LΓ³ng Wei and then at Qiu Mu. β€œHere, this is His Majesty’s order. Gather the high military officials in the hall.” Hei Chengxi forwarded the scroll to Qiu Mu, who took it and bowed.

Hei Chengxi asked LΓ³ng Wei to follow him, and they both left.

As they reached a private room, Hei Chengxi asked LΓ³ng Wei why he was in the barracks.

β€œTo see General Hei,” LΓ³ng Wei replied.

β€œHave you finally made your mind?” Hei Chengxi asked him.

β€œWhy did you tell Li Hua everything? You know it well that it could be risky for her,” LΓ³ng Wei stated.

β€œIf I hadn’t talked with your wife, then you would not have been here,” Hei Chengxi stated.

LΓ³ng Wei didn’t deny his statement and told him that he would meet him after the two days. β€œI won’t entertain any questions on this,” LΓ³ng Wei said, and turned to go away.

β€œLΓ³ng Wei, change your attitude. That will be better for you,” Hei Chengxi advised him. LΓ³ng Wei didn’t say anything and walked away.
