Chapter 96: Big Move Arc: Two

Lacy and her Alphas had a house warming party to celebrate Salmona and Samantha moving to Ashley along with their daughter Aurora.

They had settled into their new house and wanted to invite friends and family over. Lacy was in the kitchen along with the other Omegas such as Tyler, Clara, Josh, and Daniella, and Sune Joon while the Alphas and Betas were in the living room. Although some of the Betas did come to help in the kitchen such as Sune Joon’s partner, Cameran.

Lacy was preparing the food for the party. She had been cooking since early morning, and the aroma of roasted vegetables and herbs filled the air. Tyler chopped onions with tears streaming down his cheeks, while Clara arranged delicate pastries on a porcelain platter. Josh stirred a bubbling pot of soup, his brow furrowed in concentration.

Nearby, Daniella wiped sweat from her forehead as she pulled a golden-brown loaf from the oven. The clatter of pans and hum of the refrigerator blended with their movements.

Sune Joon meticulously folded napkins into swan shapes, his partner Cameran arranging them in concentric circles on the dining table. Every surface held evidence of their labor, flour dusted the countertops, vegetable peels filled the compost bin, and the scent of garlic clung to their clothes.

Outside, laughter drifted from the living room where Alphas mingled, oblivious to the kitchen’s orchestrated chaos. Aurora’s tiny footsteps pattered down the hallway, pausing at the doorway as she watched the adults move with purposeful grace.

Her wide eyes reflected the steam rising from pots, the glint of stainless steel, and the focused expressions of those preparing sustenance. She clutched a stuffed rabbit, its ear damp from her grip.

Theresa stepped into the kitchen taking an apple and throwing it into the air to catch it. The Alpha bit into it and smiled. She walked up to Lacy and when no one was looking, slapped her on the butt. Lacy gave her a small smile and watched her leave the area.

Sune Joon came over to Lacy while they began to get plates and bowls down from the cabinets. "Can I talk to you for a second?"

Lacy followed him into the butler parlor behind the kitchen. She wiped her hands on her apron, a smile on her face.

"Listen," he whispered. "When Aurora goes into heat...keep her away from Theresa." It was becoming known just by her smell that Aurora was blooming into an Omega.

"Why?"

"Just like she raped Tyler...she raped me when I was thirteen," he said. Her mouth instantly dropped, never having known this news. It made her think back to when Theresa had almost taken her.

"What..." she said, in disbelief. Yes, she knew about the rapes but for her to do that to her own son, even when he was just a child, barely a teenager, it was too much for her.

She gulped and looked up at Tyler. "Well," Lacy started. "The good thing is, she’s not moving down to Ashley so...hopefully she’s safe." Sune Joon nodded his head.

"Just...just keep that in mind," he said.

Lacy nodded silently, her hands tighten against her apron. The cheerful clatter from the kitchen suddenly felt brittle, sharp-edged. She watched Theresa’s retreating back through the doorway, how the Alpha’s shoulders rolled with easy confidence as she vanished into the living room’s laughter.

A cold knot tightened in Lacy’s stomach. She remembered Theresa’s hand on her hip weeks ago, fingers digging in just a little too long, the predatory gleam in her eyes when she’d cornered Lacy near the wine cellar.

They’d been having sex for years now and even though it started off in chaos, things had become romantic, even if she was cheating on her Alphas per se.

Lacy went back into the kitchen to help bring the food out to the large dining room. Daniella and Donald didn’t engage with one another. It was as if he were ashamed his daughter was here, that he had sent her off to the mental hospital.

Still, they all gathered around the table, the adults that is, Aurora and the other kids that belonged to Sasha and Tyler and Clara and Lucille, and Sune Joon and Cameran were at the kiddie table.

The dining room hummed with conversation and clinking silverware. Theresa sat near the head, her laughter loud and commanding as she recounted some hunting escapade, her hand gesturing broadly. Lacy watched her from across the table, the roasted lamb suddenly tasting like ash in her mouth.

Every flicker of Theresa’s smile, every casual brush of her fingers against Donald’s arm as he passed a dish, felt like a deliberate provocation.

Lacy began to wonder if the twins knew this about their mother. Would Salmona or Samantha cared? The Omega looked at her daughter.

Aurora was smiling as can be with friends and family members that were around her same age.

"So what school are you putting her in?" Clara asked.

"Hawkins Elementary. It leads into White Middle School followed by Theodore Franklin High School," Lacy answered.

Salmona licked her fingers. "These schools are some of the most highly performed schools in the nation. A very big deal."

"So y’all really think she’s going to be an Omega?" Donald asked, taking a sip of his wine.

"Oh, there’s no doubt about it," Theresa chimed in. "Her scent is very strong."

The dining room fell into an abrupt silence to Lacy’s ears. Even thogh everyone else continued on like it was nothing, Theresa’s words hung thick in the air, punctuated only by the scrape of a fork against porcelain that made Lacy snap back into the moment.

Lacy watched Aurora’s smile falter because her spoon fell onto the ground, the stuffed rabbit clutched tighter against her chest.

Theresa leaned back in her chair, her gaze lingering on Aurora with an unsettling possessiveness that made the roasted vegetables in Lacy’s stomach churn.

After dinner and after everyone had left, Lacy found herself in the master bedroom getting ready for bed. She put lotion and cream on her face as she sat at the mirror with her night gown on.

Her Alphas were downstairs cleaning the kitchen. They were washing dishes and putting away leftovers.

Lacy stared at her reflection in the vanity mirror, the rhythmic motions of her hands smoothing cream across her cheeks becoming mechanical. The scent of lavender lotion usually soothed her, but tonight it couldn’t mask the phantom smell of roasted lamb and Theresa’s predatory musk lingering in her memory.

Her fingers trembled slightly against her skin as she replayed Sune Joon’s confession, the raw pain in his whisper, the way his shoulders had hunched as if still carrying the weight of thirteen-year-old terror.

She saw Aurora’s wide, trusting eyes watching the kitchen ballet, utterly unaware of the shadows circling her. The stuffed rabbit’s damp ear. Theresa’s casual bite into the apple. The sharp slap on Lacy’s backside that now felt less like flirtation and more like a brand.

Samantha came into the bedroom clapping her hands and jumping into the bed lying on her stomach.

"Samantha," Lacy said quietly.

"Hmm..."

"Theresa, did you know she raped Sune Joon?"

"What!?"

Samantha got off the bed walking to Lacy. Lacy turned to face her Alpha. "Sune Joon told me he was raped by her."

Samantha shook her head, she wasn’t going to believe that. She paced about, trying to find words to say.

"When?"

"When he was thirteen," Lacy answered.

"No way," Samantha said.

Lacy watched her Alpha’s face tighten, the playful energy from moments before evaporating. Samantha stopped pacing, her hands balling into fist where she gripped the edge of the vanity.

The reflection in the mirror showed twin expressions of disbelief hardening into something colder, sharper. Samantha’s gaze flickered toward the open bedroom door, as if expecting Theresa’s shadow to materialize in the crack beneath it.

Her breathing hitched, shallow and quick, the rhythm of someone trying not to shatter something fragile inside themselves. She traced the edge of the vanity’s wood grain with a trembling finger, the silence thickening until it pressed against Lacy’s eardrums.

Salmona entered into the room with her pants down and clit out, hard and erect. She was ready for sex but immediately stopped in her tracks when she saw sister and then Lacy.

Her clit began to shrink back into its normal small pea size as she pulled her pants up. She walked up to her sister and her mate. Her eyes exchanging looks between the two of them.

"What’s going on?" She asked.

Samantha took a breath, not wanting to repeat it. She looked at Lacy. "Tell her what you told me," the Alpha said, turning her back.

Lacy turned to Salmona and sighed. She took a deep breath. "Sune Joon told me Theresa raped him when he was thirteen."

Just like Samantha, Salmona was also at a lost of words. She wiped her mouth and licked her lips. She turned to Samantha. "I mean...she does have a history," Salmona said.
