Global Awakening: Infinite Gift Pack System-Chapter 93: The First Rewards
Kai smiled as soon as he saw the message.
The system’s confirmation of the Field Tyrant’s destruction spread quickly among the teams.
For a moment, the battlefield was filled with shouts of relief and victory.
"We killed a Field Tyrant!" one of the survivors exclaimed.
"Atom is the best! I’ll clean you every day from now on!" another added.
"Hahaha! They’re not as strong as we thought!"
"It’s all thanks to Kai’s control!"
"Our mission is a success!"
Kai raised his hand to steady them. "Calm down, guys... This is a ten-day event! Furthermore, this was only Grade C."
He reminded them after seeing them getting too excited.
"I’m not sure if a higher grade will appear, but during those ten days, it wouldn’t be surprising... Just imagine what B or A will be like. We need to be ready." He said.
Still, he couldn’t hide his satisfaction as he looked at the messages.
[ Enemy Unit Destroyed: Field Tyrant (C) ]
[ Experience Points distributed among all participants. ]
[ +2,400 Experience Points ]
Kai smiled seeing this first message. Although he was quite surprised that it was only Grade C, it was still quite understandable.
[ You have leveled up! ]
[ Level: 16 ]
[ Health Points +5 ]
[ Spirit Points +1 ]
[ Physique Rating has slightly improved! ]
"Nice... They’ll be surprised seeing the leaderboard for sure." Kai muttered to himself as he confirmed that he had indeed leveled up.
[ Congratulations! You are the first Survivor to eliminate a Field Tyrant (C). ]
[ Hint: Only the first elimination of each C-Grade and higher unit can provide special rewards! ]
[ You can select one reward: Instant Experience Potion x2, Energy Cores x2, Random Gift Pack x2, Random Weapon Blueprint x2 ]
[ Congratulations! First Enemy Destruction Achieved. ]
[ Reward Granted: Skill Point +1, Survivor’s Medal x1 ]
[ You have obtained 10 Reputation Points. ]
[ Hint: Only Survivors above Level 15 can obtain Reputation Points. ]
Kai’s grin widened as the messages stacked up.
’A Skill Point, a medal, and even reputation points... this is huge.’
He paused at the reward selection screen.
’Experience potions would push me further ahead... but energy cores might be something Atom needed. Weapon blueprints might be even more valuable in the long run...’
They were definitely good choices. However, he dismissed the gift packs immediately for an obvious reason.
Still, he couldn’t decide right away.
’Do I secure my own growth, or invest in gear that could change the tide for everyone?’
At this point, he had already guessed that big rewards only come after every five levels...
In short, his next boost of strength or even chance of getting a new skill would be once he reached Level 20.
Getting another level right now wouldn’t give him the necessary boost that he needed.
For now, his eyes lingered on the Reputation Points.
This was a new feature from the system, and it seemed that he was the first person to get this since only those above Level 15 could obtain it.
’Ten points... what can I even do with these? Trade? Unlock privileges? Maybe they’re tied to the system’s ranking. There’s not even a hint where to use them...’ He mused.
Finally, Kai turned his attention to the other notifications he had dismissed for a moment.
It was the notifications about the valuable items they could loot from the enemy units!
[ Tyrant’s Salvageable Loot: Energy Core, Reinforced Claw Assembly, Heavy‑Grade Hydraulic Frame, Adaptive Armor Plating, Siege Cannon Housing ]
[ Spyder’s Salvageable Loot: Precision Optic Scope, Lightweight Exo‑Frame Segment, Energy Cartridge Pack ]
[ Sentinel’s Salvageable Loot: Advanced Cognitive Processor, Hardened Armor Shard, Plasma Rifle Mk.I, Energy Power Cell ]
[ Note: Only high-value salvageable components are listed. Common debris and low‑grade materials are excluded. ]
The Field Tyrant’s drops caught his attention first.
’Energy Core... Adaptive Armor Plating... Siege Cannon Housing.’
He knew these weren’t ordinary scraps, they were rare components that could be repurposed into powerful upgrades.
The Spyder loot was leaner but still useful.
’Precision Optic Scope... perfect for ranged units.’
He immediately thought of Ralph and his team...
Of course, the Sentinel Escort loot was impressive too. Plasma Rifle and even Energy Power Cell!
After all, their New Haven-45 had dozens of Plasma Rifles in their base. However, they lack energy and couldn’t be used in combat!
If they truly obtained several more Energy Power Cells here, then that would be a game-changer!
Kai couldn’t help but grin.
’This is too incredible... This is the foundation for building stronger weapons, stronger defenses... stronger survivors.’
In just a few moments, the survivors around him were already moving, scavenging parts from the wreckage. Claire directed her squad to secure the Sentinel’s cores, while Ralph’s team carefully extracted the Spyder optics.
Althea and Sera also collected the external weapons of the Spyder Units before helping with the dismantling of the unit itself...
Kai was about to join the dismantling effort when he noticed Atom suddenly moving again... without any command!
"Hmm? What are you planning to do this time, Atom?" He muttered, but he didn’t stop the machine at all.
The A‑Grade Sentinel strode past the scavenging Survivors.
Seeing Atom’s movement, the Survivors paused, watching in confusion as the A-Grade Sentinel approached the ruined body of the Field Tyrant.
The furnace was still glowing faintly with its vents hissing with residual heat.
Yet Atom ignored the waves of scorching air. It just moved forward without hesitation.
Then, to everyone’s shock, Atom climbed directly into the Tyrant’s broken frame.
Crank... Crank...
Metal screeched as the smaller mech unit forced its way inside, heading straight toward the furnace core.
"What is it doing?" Claire muttered as he turned to Kai.
However, the latter just shrugged. Kai had no clue, but based on what had happened before, he could only guess that Atom would be targeting something unusual, like that black iron ball before...
"Is it... absorbing something?" Ralph muttered as he observed the Mech Units.
No one knew what was happening inside.
The heat should have melted circuits, but Atom seemed unaffected as they could still hear the mech moving inside!
For several tense moments, the survivors could only wait, listening to the faint groans of metal from within the Tyrant’s body.
Then, suddenly, Atom emerged.
