Global Disaster: I Will Slay Gods In This Second Chance!-Chapter 47: Hell’s Paradise
April 26, 2025.
The day after the Global Summit concluded, humanity realized how futile their efforts had been.
A cold gust of wind swept across the world, forcing everyone to look up.
In the sky, a bottomless void emerged.
Woosh!
Nine ethereal figures, draped in the same pure white robes, walked out of the hole one at a time.
This wasn’t the first time they appeared.
The last time, 30% of humanity died.
Their gazes swept below, a chilling sensation washing over everyone.
But before everything else, the Nine Apostles clasped their hands together, slowly chanting.
"It is through the Undistinguishable that we live forward..."
"It is through the Unknown that we fear what is beyond..."
"It is through the Ultimate that we seek transcendence..."
Afterwards, they spread their hands, as if welcoming the arrival of their God.
However, no God appeared.
Yet, the Nine Apostles bowed respectfully, as if they had received a response.
After a brief pause that lasted seconds yet felt like an eternity, the Nine Apostles spoke again.
"God has witnessed humanity’s efforts and has sent us to deliver His message."
"For slaying a minion of hell ahead of the designated time, humanity has proven itself worthy of proceeding to the Second Era Ending Calamity."
"By God’s decree, the Second Era Ending Calamity shall be..."
The Nine Apostles paused.
The world fell into deathly silence, as though awaiting judgment.
Then, they continued.
"... Hell’s Paradise."
At that moment, the sky warped.
Its once lively blue bled into a deep, scarlet red.
From the sky, innumerable amounts of red wisps scattered across the world.
Across the world, everyone felt as though something inside them had shattered, yet they could not tell what it was.
Monsters across the world felt something enter them, their consciousness taken over by a malevolent being.
The Nine Apostles continued, their voices indifferent.
"To reward the human who slew the minion of hell, an additional rule has been granted for the Second Era Ending Calamity."
"From this moment, and for the duration of this calamity—"
[Power and potential may be gained through sacrifice.]
When their words ended, the Nine Apostles vanished into the void.
In Rhinehold, a thin, dark-haired man with a mature face looked up.
The Übermensch—Fabian sighed, shaking his head.
"Fate is a fickle mistress, and we are at her mercy."

Crownreach, Euryon.
Shatter!
All the windows in the castle shattered, and those in the palace trembled, dropping on their knees towards the throne.
"Who..."
Queen Morgana’s face twisted. Her lips were bleeding, and her hands were almost turned white from how hard she was clenching.
"... is it?!"
She growled, fury spilling out from her voice.
Due to her wrath, her spiritual energy was in chaos, causing those near her to feel suffocated.
For the first time, the palace servants witnesses how terrifying their Queen was in a state of fury.
’Beyond?’
A name suddenly crossed through her mind.
But she immediately rejected it.
He was the one she was most wary of. Even after the meeting, she monitored his movements carefully to make sure nothing went wrong.
But she saw with her own eyes that Beyond simply went back to Liberty, keeping himself in his residence.
’Then who could it be?’
One name after another surfaced in her mind, but she couldn’t be certain of anyone.
All of the regressors had their own use for the hidden reward, and with their selfish and broken characters, it could be anyone in their group.
Even Beyond wasn’t out of her suspicion yet.
But what truly troubled her wasn’t the Second Era Ending Calamity itself, but the implications behind it.
Among the regressors, a traitor was present.
This person had openly betrayed their agreement, destroying any credibility and trust they had with each other.
’Perhaps Kaya was right. Maybe we are the Ninety Ninth Era Ending Calamity...’
Morgana suddenly raised her head, gazing at the distant north.
"The moment I find out who you are..."
She muttered.
"You’re dead."

Lunaria.
Zold was in his room, glancing at the sky where the Apostles had just disappeared.
He had a solemn expression on his face.
’... Somebody killed the World Elephant in Afrasia.’
In the end, even after his show of strength, somebody still chose to betray their team.
’Who?’
Zold pondered carefully.
Names appeared in his mind, each as likely as the other. He crossed out Maria first, but other than that, everyone was a possible suspect.
After a while, Zold gave up thinking about it, his expression returning to indifference.
"They’ll show themselves eventually."
He was confident about this.
His thoughts shifted.
What was more important was the new rule.
’Power and potential can be gained through sacrifice.’
The moment the Apostles said those words, a new law was added to the world.
Information appeared in all living beings, even monsters.
By saying "Sacrifice", one could sacrifice anything they owned. Then they would gain a boost in strength and potential proportional to the quality of the sacrifice they used.
The quality of the sacrifice depended on both its origin and strength.
Moreover, the sacrifice one could use can be anything—even people counted, as long as they weren’t alive anymore.
"Interesting."
Zold murmured, thinking deeply.
The member who added this rule was evidently someone incredibly ruthless, uncaring of the consequences of this rule.
The names in his mind narrowed down even further, crossing out Morgana, Ye Feng, and Fabian.
After a pause, he muttered.
"I thought it would take a while... but it seems I have to go now."
He grabbed his phone and contacted a number.
After ringing for a while, the other party finally answered.
"Nagito?"
Zold asked first.
Hearing his voice, Nagito wasn’t surprised in the slightest, instead his voice seemed irritated:
[If I knew this was going to happen, I should’ve killed the World Elephant before the summit.]
Zold ignored him, speaking slowly:
"Nagito, can you prepare the plane tonight?"
Nagito answered calmly:
[No problem. I’ll need your help during this time.]
"It’s nothing."
Zold said briefly, but then Nagito asked casually:
[Are you bringing Maria along?]
Zold paused, the air in the room suddenly turning heavy.
When he heard no reply, Nagito seemed to have inferred something:
[Alright, no problem.]
Zold shook his head, sighing inwardly. He continued:
"Prepare the plane. I’ll go by tonight."
[Okay. See you at 8:00 PM.]
Nagito said calmly.
Zold noted it down and ended the call.
He then texted a different number.
After a while, the other party saw his message and replied.
Then, the next thing to arrange...
At that moment, two knocks echoed on his door,
’Speak of the devil.’
Zold suddenly paused, then he spoke:
"Come in."
Click!
The door opened, revealing Leo and Lia, who were looking at him anxiously.
"Teacher, did you see that?!"
Leo asked, his expression tight and deeply unnerved.
Lia hid behind him, seemingly shaking from fear.
Seeing the two of them, a flicker of hesitation appeared in his mind.
But then it was quickly overshadowed by indifference.
Zold glanced at them and nodded calmly.
"I saw."
Seeing Zold’s inexplicable calmness, Leo and Lia felt reassured, but at the same time, they felt a sense of unease with Zold’s reply.
They couldn’t tell precisely what it was, but...
"Be careful. Don’t go outside for now."
Zold suddenly said.
"Understood!"
The twins perked their heads and spoke at the same time.
"Oh yeah, Lia and I cooked breakfast, Teacher! If you want to eat, feel free!"
Leo suddenly said, smiling brightly.
Beside him, Lia also showed an embarrassed smile, but a hint of pride could be seen in her eyes.
"Alright." Zold nodded slightly, then he added. "I’ll see you guys downstairs."
"Yes, teacher."
Leo and Lia nodded excitedly and left quietly, closing the door on their way out.
Click!
As the door closed, Zold’s eyes lingered on where they had been standing, feeling a sense of guilt.
But like always, a feeling of indifference stacked over it, burying the emotion deeply in his heart.
’They’ll be okay.’
He thought, reassuring himself.
Zold looked over the room, looking for things he would need on his long trip.
Tonight, he was going to fly to Nihono for his next plans.
He wasn’t planning to bring the twins on his trip to Nihono. It was too dangerous.
In the Second Era Ending Calamity, Hell’s Paradise, Nihono was among the nations that were most affected by the calamity.
The calamity of Hell’s Paradise could be summed up in two words: demonic spirits.
Demonic spirits spread across the world, possessing objects and monsters alike, granting them terrifying abilities.
Demon-class artifacts or monsters that could raze cities to the ground would appear everywhere.
The First Era Ending Calamity was merely the prelude of the storm. The Second Era Ending Calamity showed the true terror of the era-ending calamities.
At that moment, a message popped up on his phone.
Zold glanced at it, and suddenly his hands froze mid-air.
But after a while, he sighed and left the message unread.
