Chapter 568: Chapter 383: Easy Victory, Striking Again

In the scorching desert, S-class superpower Zhong Wei hovered in the sky, looking down at the black tower on the ground, watching his subordinates form into small teams and enter the bronze door one after another.

The hot temperature seemed to have little effect on him; there wasn’t a hint of sweat on his face.

Suddenly, he raised his hand to glance at his wristwatch, noting the number "0" on the display, and started muttering to himself:

"A total of 201 people, after entering the tower, lost contact with me... It seems this tower is indeed as complicated as I speculated."

He then turned his head back with interest, looking at the inconspicuous dark tower on the ground, feeling a bit restless inside.

"While my subordinates’ investigative results certainly need to be collected, personal experience can’t be lacking."

Glancing at the barren surroundings devoid of any human shadows, his figure instantly plummeted from the sky, entering the bronze door at the base of the tower.

Upon entering, he first noticed that all his subordinates who had just entered had vanished, leaving the empty passageway connected to a similarly vacant stone plaza, which appeared somewhat eerie.

"Interesting... spatial powers?"

As a powerful superpower, he immediately made the corresponding conjecture; it was the only answer he easily understood. Otherwise, from a research perspective, turning a large group of people invisible while creating a particularly massive internal space did not comply with the laws of physics.

Before long, he traversed the passage connected to the bronze door, reaching the edge of the plaza.

As he aimed to investigate what special features were in this area, which far exceeded the external black tower’s size, several figures materialized at the plaza’s center several dozen meters away from him.

Five people appeared out of thin air, each with identical physical appearance, all sporting buzz cuts, sunglasses, trench coats, and resembling yellow-skinned men, but each wielding different weapons.

One held a revolver in each hand, resembling a standard marksman; another bore a knife and shield, posed as a warrior; one with a dagger exhibited the coldness of an assassin; and two held short magic staffs, exuding a mysterious aura.

"Heh... five identical outsiders? But with different powers? Interesting..."

Upon seeing them, Zhong Wei immediately smiled. He had never seen such quintuplet-like outsiders before. A certain glint flashed in his eyes behind his transparent glasses, the excitement typical of researchers discovering excellent research material.

As a researcher, upon discovering precious material, it’s natural to first observe and record meticulously rather than rush to pocket the material, hence he adopted a strategy of stillness, standing expectantly in place, allowing the five identical outsiders to initiate their attack first.

Sure enough, within half a second of him ceasing to approach, the five identical outsiders began their actions.

The marksman and assassin each scattered to the sides, the warrior charged forward, while the two with magic staffs remained stationary.

The marksman ran quickly, distancing himself from Zhong Wei while aiming his guns but refraining from pulling the trigger immediately.

The assassin vanished entirely into invisibility during the run, disappearing at the visual level.

The lone warrior raised his shield, charging at Zhong Wei at high speed, his murderous intent blatant and unhidden.

The two magicians acted differently; one shook his staff, summoning twelve fully armed robotic soldiers, while the other raised his hand to cast a buff effect on the warrior at the forefront, causing him to emit dazzling white light and appear as though he were a Holy Light Warrior.

Zhong Wei’s expression remained unchanged witnessing all this as he stood still, watching the enemies approach swiftly, awaiting the incoming attack.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Finally, in his expectant eyes, the first wave of attacks began.

The attackers were the twelve armed robots summoned by one of the magicians. They simultaneously raised shoulder-mounted cannons, launching rockets in Zhong Wei’s direction. These rockets traveled at remarkable speed, quickly surpassing the charging warrior, targeting Zhong Wei standing on the ground.

"A boring attack."

Zhong Wei promptly gave this low appraisal. Without moving at all, the rockets that were supposed to rush toward him suddenly reversed in mid-air, heading back towards the robots that launched them, as though intent on blasting their original masters apart.

However, the robotic soldiers were not idle; they quickly preemptively detonated the "rebellious" rockets, causing fiery, dazzling fireworks to erupt in the plaza’s sky.

"In my gravity control domain, no missile can hit me."

Zhong Wei thought this unsurprisingly in his heart. He’s too familiar with technological weaponry; most in his presence are meaningless, only providing him the opportunity to turn their tactics against them.

The first wave of attack just failed, the second promptly followed.

The warrior bathed in white light finally reached Zhong Wei, raising his shield in one hand and a blade in the other. As he charged fiercely to Zhong Wei’s front with immense inertia, he tried to smash the shield into Zhong Wei’s chest. If that strike landed solidly with Zhong Wei’s not particularly tall and strong frame, it would likely send him flying over ten meters.
