God-Level All-rounder Expert-Chapter 250 - 263: Until You Open the Door
Chapter 250: Chapter 263: Until You Open the Door
Yao Bo looked at the plump girl and, to his own surprise, his face revealed a hint of shyness, starkly contrasting his usual simple and honest demeanor.
Fang Yi patted Yao Bo on the shoulder, smiling as he said, "If you like her, just be a bit bolder."
Yao Bo replied in his simple way, "Brother Yi, I come from the countryside, and heck, I haven’t even held a woman’s hand. Beating someone up I can do, but this..."
Fang Yi laughed, "How about I teach you a few moves?"
Yao Bo’s eyes brightened, and he nodded eagerly like a chicken pecking at grains.
Fang Yi beckoned Yao Bo to lean closer and whispered a few tips in his ear. The straightforward Yao Bo’s eyes shone even brighter, and he broke into a goofy grin. Finally, with a slap on the shoulder from Fang Yi, Yao Bo shot out like an arrow.
Fang Yi was left alone, yet looking at the joyous scene by the bonfire in the courtyard, he felt a surge of happiness in his heart.
Then, Yao Dong walked over and sat down beside Fang Yi.
Fang Yi lifted his bottle of liquor and clinked glasses with Yao Dong.
"How’s it going, Yao Dong? Getting used to things?" Fang Yi asked.
"I’ve adapted," replied Yao Dong, far quieter than Yao Bo and, though not as naturally freaking strong, he was more suited to be the brains and strategist.
"That’s good to hear. I think these guys have been trained enough; it’s time to add the main course," Fang Yi said with slightly narrowed eyes.
Yao Dong listened attentively, showing respect.
After taking another sip of liquor, Fang Yi slowly continued, "They’ve made significant improvements in physical conditioning. Now it’s time to learn killing techniques. Listen closely, Yao Dong; you’ll train them gradually."
"Yes!"
In the time that followed, Fang Yi shared his own experiences with Yao Dong, detailing numerous killing techniques he had honed through practical experience, amounting to a personal masterclass.
When abroad, Fang Yi rarely killed. His forte was robbery, not assassination, so he avoided killing unless absolutely necessary.
The reason Fang Yi was dubbed the most wanted wasn’t due to his unmatched strength, but rather the frequency of his robberies.
As these bold, almost plunder-like crimes accumulated, Fang Yi rapidly gained notoriety among international organizations.
Furthermore, Fang Yi acted alone, unlike other gangs that operated collaboratively, attaining the title of the most wanted based solely on his individual prowess.
There are myriad killing techniques, and if one were to delve deep, they’d find that every part of the human body has potential fatal weaknesses—it all depends on how the assailant chooses to strike.
Besides that, one must also adapt tactics to the environment, available information, and other such variables. Ultimately, the assassin’s ability to improvise is crucial. Fang Yi simply outlined the basics to Yao Dong.
But Fang Yi believed that given Yao Dong’s intelligence, he would quickly assimilate this knowledge.
"By the way, Brother Yi, there’s one more thing," said Yao Dong.
"Hmm?"
"Although we only have about a dozen people, I think we can consider ourselves an organization. Shouldn’t we name it?" Yao Dong asked.
"Dragon Soul," Fang Yi stated flatly.
"Dragon Soul?"
"In the past, a senior established this organization, and as it so happens, that senior and I share the same surname," Fang Yi said with a smile.
Yao Dong nodded in realization. After hearing Fang Yi’s words, the name Dragon Soul was settled for the organization.
In the yard, there was a large bonfire, with a whole roast lamb atop it, which was swiftly devoured. Everyone had their fill of food and drink, and when the time came, Yao Dong summoned all the members to rest.
The yard quickly quieted down, and Yao Bo, having been taught the art of wooing by Fang Yi, also took the plump girl to the back hill, seemingly to enjoy the moonlight.
Fang Yi looked up. There was no damn moon tonight.
Everyone had left, leaving Fang Yi alone and lonely, sitting by that bonfire, all quiet and desolate.
There was still half a bottle of liquor in the bottle. Fang Yi tipped his head back and drank, and the cool, refreshing night breeze blew, making Fang Yi feel suddenly invigorated.
Just then, his phone ringtone sounded.
"Hello?"
"Where are you?" Bai Jingjing’s voice came through the phone, carrying a weighty and questioning tone.
"At the rural homestead." Fang Yi raised his eyebrows and said, "Your tone seems a bit off. What’s wrong with you..."
Bai Jingjing fell silent for a while on the other end of the line and then said, "I feel terrible."
That sentence, as if revealing her innermost feelings, carried sobs and weakness; Fang Yi listened with a start.
"What on earth is wrong with you?" Fang Yi had no idea what this woman was playing at.
However, there was no response on the other end of the phone. Fang Yi took the phone away from his ear, only to realize that Bai Jingjing had actually hung up.
Fang Yi was puzzled. What was this woman up to? He lit a cigarette, stood up, and walked outside the courtyard, pushing his bicycle away. Not long after, Fang Yi took out his phone and dialed Meng Wei’s number.
A minute later, Fang Yi rode his bicycle away from the rural homestead.
...
The long night stretched on. By the time Fang Yi arrived at a high-end residential area, he checked his watch on his wrist; it was already ten o’clock.
The security guard at the entrance, seeing Fang Yi pushing a bicycle and also dressed in a way that did not seem like he belonged to this community, stepped forward to stop him. Fang Yi gave Bai Jingjing’s name, and the security guard immediately backed down, even giving Fang Yi directions to where Bai Jingjing lived, which building and floor.
"By the way, Mister, are you really Miss Bai’s friend?"
"Yes."
"Today, when I saw Miss Bai coming back, I don’t know why, but she seemed to have been crying."
Fang Yi just responded with an "oh," took out two hundred bucks from his pocket, and handed it to the security guard as a tip. The guard immediately beamed with a smile and retreated, even helping Fang Yi push his bicycle into the security room for storage. freёnovelkiss-com
Fang Yi entered the community, walking while taking out his phone and dialing Bai Jingjing’s number.
However, although the call connected, no one answered.
Fang Yi put away his phone, feeling a bit anxious. He muttered to himself, "Is this woman crazy or what..."
A worried expression appeared on Fang Yi’s face, and he couldn’t help but feel a bit tense inside.
Fang Yi, usually calm in the face of events, now felt nervousness and urgency. He had to admit that Bai Jingjing had occupied a place in his heart. If he were to turn around and leave now, he simply couldn’t do it.
Fang Yi walked briskly until he finally reached a security door. This was Bai Jingjing’s place. Standing at the door, he pressed the doorbell.
Ding-dong~~~ Ding-dong~~~
No one answered, but instead, there was a clattering noise inside—it sounded like a wine bottle had been knocked over.
Fang Yi pressed the doorbell again, then stood waiting outside, with one hand in his pocket, fully prepared to wait out there all night.
After a few minutes, Fang Yi didn’t press the doorbell again. Instead, he slowly spoke up, "Bai Jingjing, I know you’re behind the door. Open it quickly. If you don’t, I’ll keep standing out here until you do."
Given how keen Fang Yi’s hearing was, even though he couldn’t see through the peephole into the other side, he had heard.
And at this time, Bai Jingjing, who was standing behind the door with panic creeping onto her beautiful ruddy face, bit her lower lip and then reached out to open the door.
