God of Money: Reincarnated as the Weakest SSS Rank-Chapter 69: The Leader
Chapter 69: The Leader
Jackvin and Theos were stunned to see and hear him.
"Louis Carwine!" they both shouted at once, even going so far as to take several steps backwards in fear. "You..."
"How could you possibly still be alive!?" they all roared at the same time, almost as if none of them wanted that bastard to be able to find a culprit for what they were saying.
But Louis simply shrugged.
"You think little tricks like that could kill me? You’re so deluded. You’ve been sold a poorly told tale."
"You..."
Some felt enraged, others simply in great fear.
But Theos and his allies sputtered about what he had said earlier.
"...There seems to be no going back on that." Theos said. "We’ll accept you as part of the steering group if that’s how you want it and if you give us that money. I don’t care what enmity you may have with the House of Shadows. But you can’t appoint yourself as the Maximum Leader of our organization. You only have 15%." He declared.
He cared little for the rest, and he even ignored what Jackvin was saying to him in threat.
Louis sneered at him.
"You’re wrong. 15% is what you guys just gave me." He said and pulled out another document to show him. "I had a good conversation with your brother earlier, Mr. Theos." He smiled.
"And he sold me the 12.5% he had. Also, I now control your two main companies. Do you have anything else to say?"
Theos looked at the document with a puzzled look, before exploding.
"Impossible! You bastard, what did you do to my brother?"
"I don’t remember doing anything to him. He agreed to this exchange on his own."
"Impossible! My brother’s not that stupid!"
"Well, whether he’s stupid or not, it’s not something I said." Louis shrugged. "You can go ask him. This document has already been processed."
His answer left Theos speechless.
They had just given him 15% in exchange for that juicy deal, which already made him the most powerful new investor below the top four.
But if the fourth major, who controlled 12.5% and also the two key companies in the organization, sold them to him... They were finished.
The percentage he had now was higher than any of them.
Even if they together had more percentage than he did, none of them wanted to join with the other to make one have a higher percentage controlled and thus regain command.
Although they are friends, they are not idiots. If they give one of them too much power, he will immediately get rid of the other party and can keep it all for himself.
Profits, not friendships, drive the world.
That was something everyone understood.
It was the same with the House of Shadows. While Theos was stunned, incredulous about whether his brother had really committed such a barbarity, Jackvin remembered the words Louis had just spoken.
He mentioned two houses, not just one.
He even looked suspiciously at Iseni and Dicson. ’Have they sold their portion? Were they also threatened?’ he thought.
But in reality, they had the same doubts as the other.
In the end, Jackvin pulled himself together quickly and spoke.
"Mr. Carwine, it’s good that you’re back. You even completed the mission we gave you," he said, with a forced smile. "But about your statements..."
Louis shrugged his shoulders and, in one swift movement, drew his pistol to point it at the head of one of the leaders.
Iseni.
"You...!"
"Shut up." Louis was serious.
"Not only are you a spy for Ancient Moon who sells him information to harm the missions of the House of Shadows, someone who sells himself for so little, perhaps you will harm the future of my organization. But you were also the bastard who reported my exact location to the Lockwards." He spoke.
The sinister smile covered his face from ear to ear.
"You betrayed me, Mr. Iseni." He declared.
A strange breeze rustled throughout the room, slightly moving some of their hair and sending terrible cold currents to the sweat pouring down their backs.
"And I hate betrayals."
Firmly, he pulled the trigger.
BAM*
The deafening sound transmitted through the wind revealed the attribute of this fired bullet.
Iseni’s head was shattered, while the wind magic carried by the bullet shattered the rest of his body and splattered everyone present with blood.
No one could react. No one could do anything.
Theos, who wanted to complain, remained mute. Jackvin, who tried to spit, swallowed his words.
Cold sweat ran down their backs, and they almost wet themselves with fear.
It was terrible.
"Iseni was found guilty of treason against the House of Shadows, selling information to rivals and actively participating in sabotaging House missions. For that, his death is well deserved. Everything that belonged to him will now fall into the hands of Louis Carwine, who discovered him and gave him what he deserved." He declared.
Then he looked at Jackvin. "Do you object?" frёewebnoѵēl.com
Jackvin did not respond.
Then Louis smiled and looked behind him.
"You can come in." He spoke.
Then a well-dressed man took a few steps into the room.
"As of today, he will take Iseni’s place, although he will have no percentage share. His salary will be the highest accordingly. I hope you will do a good job, Mr. Fraid." He smiled.
Jackvin and Dicson finally understood what was going on. Fraid had betrayed them.
And Louis smiled.
That had happened the night in Velfast.
He was planning to complete his missions when he found that guy walking around. Naturally, he was a good person to bribe and bring to his side.
It was not very complicated to do so. A few words were enough to get Fraid to agree.
And there was no violence... at least not excessive.
With that, all the information those guys were planning was almost instantly at his fingertips.
And now he was back as one of the leaders, with a good monthly salary and even the support of the man who already practically had dominion over the two largest houses in this area of the District.
The 25% that were in Iseni’s hands were soon transferred to Louis’ hands. They did it with his blood for greater viability.
Louis looked at the stunned leaders before him. He was in a good mood.
"From now on, I expect you to get along. I will be in charge and do what you guys have failed to do: unify the Industrial District."
