Chen Guan thought to himself, "I'd like to join, but they don't want me."

"Let's talk about it next time," Chen Guan said casually.

He was quite satisfied with the performance of the Disabling Fist; with the addition of the Blood Coagulation Fork, the fist became even more mysterious and unpredictable.

Even the Black Jiao with a Sixth Sense couldn't escape the impact of the Disabling Fist, showing just how abnormal this Secret Skill was.

The only pity is that this thing requires close contact to be effective.

In battles within the Grotto Heaven, there are so many remote attack techniques with sword and saber energy, getting close isn't easy.

Chen Guan now feels he really lacks a powerful Body Technique, it must be a Composite Skill, extremely fast, to pair well with the Disabling Fist.

Otherwise, every time he'd have to endure the first wave with his physical body before managing to reach the enemy, and if any time his Body Protection Divine Skill couldn't hold up, it'd be too dangerous.

But Composite Skills are hard to come by, those renowned and powerful Composite Skills are always secret techniques that aren't easily acquired.

Even if one can get the recipe, it doesn't mean one can gather those Secret Skills.

Secret Skill: Treading Waves (Unparalleled).

Cultivation Requirements: Water Type Alien Elemental Energy.

Primordial Energy Consumption: 21.

Skill Level: 1.

Chen Guan found a Body Technique Secret Skill had indeed arrived, but this secret skill was used on water, it wasn't effective on land.

However, it suited the current situation, and Chen Guan directly learned the Treading Waves Secret Skill.

Silently releasing the Ghost Eye, allowing it to feed on the Black Jiao's corpse underwater.

Having learned the Treading Waves Secret Skill, Chen Guan jumped up, remaining on the surface of the water.

Treading Waves and Water Floating are completely different Secret Skills; Water Floating uses the power of treading water to proceed by borrowing force, requiring constant movement on the water's surface to remain afloat.

But Treading Waves is not like that; Chen Guan stands motionless on the water's surface, where waves surge underfoot, supporting his feet so he can stand without sinking.

Of course, this comes at a cost; the base consumption is 21 points of Primordial Energy per second, and if Chen Guan needs to run on the water, the harder he exerts, the more Primordial Energy he consumes.

"Master Brother, you truly are worthy of being called a master, with such demeanor, it's indeed admirable. You were too humble before; otherwise, I would have realized earlier that you were a master," Ma Xiaolong said, watching Chen Guan floating on the water, feeling increasingly that this brother was inscrutable, like one of the immortals.

"Brother, how should I address you?" Ma Xiaolong wanted to know Chen Guan's name and background.

"Better if you don't know." Chen Guan chatted intermittently with Ma Xiaolong, waiting for the Ghost Eye to finish devouring the Black Jiao.

The water is very deep, Ma Xiaolong and others cannot see what's going on underwater, nor can they see the Ghost Eye.

The constantly rising blood, Ma Xiaolong merely assumed was due to Chen Guan injuring the Black Jiao; the scene of the Black Jiao spraying blood from its orifices left a deep impression on him earlier.

"Then I'll call you Master Brother…" Ma Xiaolong was very pleased and talked a lot with Chen Guan.

Seeing Chen Guan standing on the water like an immortal, Ma Xiaolong was even more impressed.

"Master Brother, the quality and level of that Black Jiao must be significant, its body must hold good stuff. Why don't I help you pull it up from underwater?" Ma Xiaolong felt a connection with Chen Guan and was happy about their conversation, thinking about the Black Jiao's body underwater and wanting to help retrieve it.

He had previously misunderstood Chen Guan as trying to snatch the Black Jiao, so he brought it up first to see Chen Guan's response.

"No need." Chen Guan said, asking, "Earlier when the Black Jiao spoke of someone, was it talking about someone from your family?"

"Who knows who it was talking about? I've never heard my family mention having had a feud with a Black Jiao," Ma Xiaolong found this quite baffling as well. He didn't know who the Black Jiao was referring to but speculated it might be an elder of his family.

"If that's the case, could it be referring to your Dragon's Heir's talent? Perhaps it mistook the talent for a bloodline." Chen Guan found this guess more logical.

"That could really be the case," Ma Xiaolong agreed, thinking this guess made more sense.

They chatted a bit more and the Ghost Eye had already swallowed the Black Jiao's corpse, growing nearly double in size, meaning it wouldn't disappear anytime soon.

Chen Guan recalled the Ghost Eye, letting it slowly digest.

"I should go now, let's meet again if fate allows." Chen Guan said, as he treaded waves toward the distance.

"Master Brother, where are you going? Let's go together." Ma Xiaolong hurriedly swam forward, trying to catch up to Chen Guan.

But his swimming speed couldn't possibly match Chen Guan's Treading Waves technique, and soon he lost sight of Chen Guan, thus he had no choice but to return to the shore, dejectedly heading back to Ice City.

Chen Guan didn't go far. He stopped at an icy crevice beside the canyon turned great river, hiding there.

With a flip of his hand, an item appeared, a map. The material of this map is quite peculiar—neither metal nor jade, neither cloth nor silk, nor a certain kind of leather.

A palm-sized piece resembling some kind of scale, soft and able to curl like a leaf.

This thing was spat out by the Ghost Eye, presumably from the Black Jiao, and something the Ghost Eye couldn't digest.

Carefully inspecting the scale and the map on it, he could see some points and lines, though the map was clearly incomplete, just a portion of a larger map.

"Strange, why would there be such an odd map inside the Black Jiao?" Chen Guan flipped it to check the back of the map.

There were some words written on the back, but like the map, it's only a part of an article, each line was fragmented and mostly indecipherable regarding its context.

The only readable part showed just three words: "Mountain-Opening Axe."

"Could this be a treasure map? A treasure with an item called Mountain-Opening Axe?" Chen Guan pondered to himself.

While he was pondering, suddenly he heard voices from afar.

"Brother, being anxious won't help, no one expected the Heavenly River to thaw, rushing won't stop anything now." A man's voice said.

"You know nothing; I'm not trying to stop the thawing of the Heavenly River, I'm going to retrieve the Three Treasures of the Xia Family." Another voice, rough and gravelly, sneered coldly.

"Are the Xia Family's Three Treasures really here? I didn't know." The first man asked again.

"What would you know, wasting time indulging in pleasures without accomplishing anything substantial." The rough voice continued, "Back then our ancestors froze the Heavenly River, suppressing countless Secret Spirit beasts, the Three Treasures are their source."

"You've mentioned the Three Treasures so much, what are these Three Treasures exactly?" The earlier man asked again.

"Idiot, you don't even know the Xia Family's Three Treasures; it's fitting to fry you in oil." The rough voice cursed fiercely but explained, "The Three Treasures of the Xia Family are, naturally, the River Map, Mountain-Opening Axe, and Water-Resistant Sword. These three are all top-notch Secret Divine Treasures. You don't even know your family's treasures, don't say you're my brother when you're out, and don't claim it's the Xia surname; the Xia family can't afford to lose face like that."
