God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!-Chapter 92: Bounty [2]
Chapter 92: Bounty [2]
"Oh, would you look at that."
A smile slowly appeared on Gabriel’s face after reading the post.
He didn’t expect to be targeted this early on—and worst of all, it was one of the top five player guilds from his past life.
But was he worried? Definitely not. At this stage of the game, the Chaos Knight guild was no different from any he could crush.
’Still, let’s see how this go.’ he thought as he returned his focus back to the forum.
The forums were flooding with hundreds of messages at once, and if one didn’t pause the screen or read fast, they could easily miss them.
Thread: $1,000,000 Bounty Alert!! Broken Heaven is Real?
[IceQueen, guild master of the Chaos Knight]: We don’t care if he’s an NPC or some freak of the system. Anyone who captures Broken Heaven alive gets a real-world wire of $1,000,000. Good luck, peasants.
[Klljoy]: Dang, that’s from her verified account. It’s really true.
[Anonymouse45]: [Bro what??? 1 million IRL??! I’m rerolling my entire build just to snipe this guy. Also, anyone know his location??]
[MysticMage22]: But isn’t Broken Heaven that mysterious NPC that gifted the beta players those rare treasures?
[GameLoreX]: According to the alias, it’s truly him. With such a high amount on the line, I bet capturing him will be very difficult.
[BetaWarfare]: Shit, I can’t believe you guys are considering this! Didn’t you see how he easily destroyed Ragnarok99 during the beta?!
[RiskyRespawn]: Silly, you won’t die. Besides, your death will give you intel.
[Newbimancer]: Why the hell are we even putting bounties on NPCs? The game just started, for crying out loud.
[Theorist]: I have a guess—maybe the Chaos Knight guild wants to get on his good side. Maybe that’s the reason for the bounty.
Suddenly, Gabriel’s eyes caught a username.
[Almighty Ragnarok99]: If any of you dare lay even a hand on Broken Heaven, I’ll make sure I make this game unplayable for you!
After that message, no other posts popped up—almost as if everyone was too scared to type.
[SniperBowLegend]: I support Ragnarok99. If anyone goes after him, then consider yourself an enemy!
[ChaosCleric]: Don’t buy their threat. Think about all the things you could do with the money. Remember, you’re not really dying. At most, you’ll lose a couple of levels or some delayed game time.
[GreedGremlin]: ChaosKnight is right! Hahahaha, I’ll definitely capture this Broken Heaven!
At this point in the game, there was no way to convert real-life currency to Valerian Dollars. Still—
Gabriel lingered on the forums a bit longer. Players were mostly talking about how realistic the game was, taking quests, and debating whether to pursue the bounty or not.
It was at this point Gabriel closed the forum.

In the game world, players appeared across all the kingdoms—both the human and non-human realms.
The Valerian Kingdom had three primary starting areas: Red Fang City, Iron Gate City, and White Bridge.
However, most of the attention was on Red Fang City, where several famous professional players had spawned.
Seeing so many big names in one place, players didn’t know whether this was a deliberate move by the developers or just sheer coincidence.
Either way, the competition skyrocketed in Red Fang Village, and some players cursed in their hearts.
How were they supposed to compete against professional players who were far more experienced than them?
"Is it too late to restart the game?" one player grumbled.
"I tried that and still appeared here," replied another, a bitter smile on their face.
In the end, these unfortunate players had no choice but to form temporary parties. It was the only way they could ensure their survival in this competitive starter village.
At the outskirts of Red Fang City, a group of professional players had gathered.
These players were none other than Ragnarok99, SniperBowLegend, and Bunny.
By a sheer stroke of fate, they had all spawned in the same beginner village again, and just like the first time, they had decided to form a temporary party.
"The reward is very tempting," Bunny frowned. "And from what I’m seeing on the forums, it seems a majority of the players have decided to accept the bounty. I fear with ChaosKnight’s numbers, it’ll be trouble even for someone like him."
"You’re right," SniperBowLegend nodded. "The game just started, but ChaosKnight already has about 1,000 guild members."
"1,000 inexperienced weaklings... I’m sure even if they encounter Broken Heaven, they won’t be able to do shit!" Ragnarok99 sneered.
Bunny nodded. "You’re not really wrong, but facing that many people might still be troublesome for him."
"So what do you suggest?" SniperBowLegend asked, staring at Bunny—their temporary leader. freewebnoveℓ.com
After her performance during the beta test, there wasn’t even a debate about who should lead them.
"For now, let’s focus on reaching level 10 and leaving the village. I still remember the layout from the map, so we don’t need to purchase one."
With that, no more words were exchanged between them, and they headed deeper into the wilderness to hunt monsters.
Within the city, the buzz never died down. Players were trying to get quests and hunt monsters scattered around the beginner zones. Some were forming guilds, others were just trying to understand the basics of the system.
Meanwhile, atop the church building overlooking Red Fang City, stood IceQueen—her cold gaze sweeping across the now-player-populated streets.
She stood beside ChaosCleric, who was munching on a roasted apple while browsing through the ChaosKnight guild channel.
"Any progress?" IceQueen asked without turning back.
ChaosCleric responded while keeping an eye on the channels. "No sight of him yet. I contacted our guild members in Iron Gate and White Bridge starting towns too. Still nothing."
"If he’s not here, then that means he’s in one of the major cities. Tell all players to focus on leveling up for now."
ChaosCleric nodded. "Yes, Guild—"
Suddenly, another notification popped into his retina feed.
