God-Tier Fishing System-Chapter 600
This kind of disturbance could not possibly be hidden.
The moment the emerald-green light bloomed at the crown of the Hibiscus Sacred Tree, both sides locked in fierce battle above sensed it instantly.
The pupils of the three-legged Golden Crows shrank.
They forcefully halted their attacks, wings sweeping outward as they distanced themselves from Alina. In the next breath, their heads snapped downward, gazes piercing through layers of branches.
"Three hibiscus fruits have already been taken."
"And the fourth... it’s also being targeted."
Their voices were no longer calm. Fury and disbelief intertwined, shaking the air.
Ethan’s movements were ruthless and efficient. The jade knife flashed, severing the branch cleanly. He sealed the hibiscus fruit, turned, and shot toward the fifth one like a streak of golden lightning.
"Alina and the Golden Crows have noticed us," Ethan transmitted coldly.
"Follow me. Enter the Nine-Colored Soul-Living Bottle—now."
Kara, Elara, and Risa did not hesitate. Three figures turned into flowing light, chasing after Ethan at full speed.
The two three-legged Golden Crows let out furious roars, their voices ripping through the sky like thunder.
"Who dares trespass into Spiritual Valley and steal hibiscus fruits?!"
"Human! Hand over the hibiscus fruits immediately! Otherwise, I will crush your limbs and leave you begging for death!"
Their killing intent surged like a tide.
Above, Alina’s expression changed the instant she saw the figures darting through the crown.
"Someone got here first...?"
Her brows knitted tightly. She could not understand it.
This valley had been sealed for countless years. The space barrier had only just been forcibly dismantled—yet someone was already harvesting hibiscus fruits?
Her gaze fell upon Ethan.
Recognition struck.
"It’s him."
The man from the entrance of the Training Trial Secret Realm.
The one her master had specifically told her to pay attention to.
Alina’s eyes turned sharp.
"Master’s reminders have never been wrong. For him to slip in silently and pick hibiscus fruits under everyone’s noses... this man is dangerous."
"No. I can’t let him take everything."
She did not hesitate.
Her spirit body descended in a streak of white light, chasing directly toward Ethan.
Below, Ethan sensed four powerful auras rapidly closing in. Without slowing, he raised the Nine-Colored Soul-Living Bottle.
A whirl of nine-colored light erupted.
Kara, Elara, and Risa were instantly absorbed.
Ethan sealed the bottle and exhaled softly.
Four hibiscus fruits.
Enough.
Even if everything else failed, he had already secured an unshakable foundation.
But his ambition did not stop there.
Golden lightning flared beneath his feet as he arrived before the fifth hibiscus fruit.
Almost simultaneously—
Two scorching solar auras descended from above.
Alina and her spirit body landed opposite him.
The two three-legged Golden Crows arrived as well.
Four figures surrounded Ethan.
For a brief moment, no one moved.
Alina studied Ethan carefully. "Your Excellency, this is Alina of White Emperor City. If you are willing to yield this hibiscus fruit to me, I can offer compensation that will satisfy you."
Ethan narrowed his eyes slightly.
White Emperor’s direct disciple.
Her composure, judgment, and restraint were all exceptional.
At the very least, she had not rushed to hostility.
"White Emperor’s disciple..." Ethan said calmly. "Indeed impressive."
Before Alina could continue, a cold laugh rang out.
"Humans truly have no shame," one of the Golden Crows sneered.
The two transformed simultaneously.
One man, tall and muscular, radiating scorching pressure. Black-and-gold lines traced the corners of his eyes like divine markings.
One woman, voluptuous and dangerous, eyes sharp as blades, the same black-and-gold lines lending her an eerie, exotic beauty.
"Discussing the ownership of hibiscus fruit in front of us?" the woman said coldly.
"Do you take us for decorations?"
Ethan laughed softly.
"Treasures of heaven and earth belong to those with destiny and strength. You guard the hibiscus tree, but that does not mean the hibiscus fruit belongs to you."
"Today, I will take it."
"What can you do to stop me?"
The woman’s eyes turned icy.
"You are more arrogant than that woman."
"I want to see how a mere human, suppressed to the Ninth Turn of Mahayana, dares challenge a three-legged Golden Crow."
Her name was Verelia.
Ethan did not respond immediately.
Instead, his gaze shifted to the hibiscus fruit.
The fruit trembled faintly.
As if sensing danger, it began to emit a subtle, intoxicating fragrance.
The air changed.
The scent was gentle, comforting, and warm—like a lullaby woven from memory and longing.
It crept silently into the surroundings.
Ethan waited.
Verelia and her brother Sylren waited as well.
The three-legged Golden Crow clan had lived alongside the hibiscus tree for generations. No one understood the hibiscus fruit better than they did.
They knew.
This fragrance was death.
"Once the phantom fragrance takes effect," Verelia transmitted coldly, "they won’t even realize they’re dying."
Sylren’s gaze sharpened. "It’s spreading. Prepare."
Alina inhaled unconsciously.
The scent entered her body.
Her breathing slowed.
A wave of comfort surged through her limbs, dissolving fatigue, dulling vigilance. It felt as though she had returned home after endless struggle, sinking into soft warmth.
Her eyelids grew heavy.
Without realizing it, Alina slowly closed her eyes.
A smile curved Verelia’s lips.
"It’s taken effect."
"Move."
The two Golden Crows struck simultaneously.
Sylren lunged at Ethan.
His claws extended, tearing through the air with four streaks of deadly cold light aimed straight at Ethan’s throat.
At the same time, Verelia turned toward Alina, claws flashing.
But—
Bang!
A crisp, explosive sound rang out.
Ethan did not retreat.
Golden energy surged across his skin, forming a dense, tyrannical layer of defense.
He casually swung his arm.
Sylren’s claw blades collided with Ethan’s forearm—
Sparks erupted.
A terrifying force exploded outward.
Sylren’s expression changed instantly as his body was flung backward, crashing through branches like a broken projectile.
"What?!" Verelia’s pupils shrank.
"The phantom fragrance didn’t work on you?!"
Ethan chuckled softly, eyes filled with mockery.
"Little black bird, are you joking?"
"If it worked on me, do you think I could have picked the first few hibiscus fruits?"
Sylren stabilized himself mid-air, rage burning in his eyes.
"You—!"
"You dare insult me?!"
"I am not some little black bird!"
"I am a three-legged Golden Crow, bearer of a noble divine beast’s bloodline!"
"How can you blaspheme me at will?!"
A/N:
Hey guys, I wanted to say this properly.
First of all, thank you. Seriously. Every gift, comment, and bit of support means a lot to me, and I’ve never taken it lightly.
That said, I’ve decided to stop doing extra Chapters for gifts. Writing under that kind of pressure has started to affect how I write and enjoy the story, and I want to keep this sustainable and fun in the long run.
Please don’t be obligated to send gifts. Just reading, commenting, and sticking with the story already supports me more than you think.
Thanks for understanding, and for being here with me. I really appreciate you all.
