Grand Return System-Chapter 52: Flames Beneath the Moonlight
Flames Beneath the Moonlight
Selena turned suddenly.
"Master! When are we going back?"
Leon blinked.
They remembered him again.
"Soon."
Rias glanced at him quietly.
Master.
That word made her pulse skip. On her lips it stayed, tasting of sugar laced with fire. Not just a man - steady where others cracked under steel’s weight. Calm in chaos. One who shaped minds without raising his voice. Stillness itself wore his face.
Yet soon the pair slipped once more into their private bubble - murmuring, giggling - his presence already faded from mind.
The moment their eyes locked, a strange familiarity bubbled up. Though they’d never been introduced, speaking felt natural - like picking up a conversation left behind long ago. Laughter came easily.
A faint spasm crossed Leon’s lips. As if he’d long gone unnoticed.
A hush moved through the tall grass, tugging at Rias’ red flowing garments while lifting the soft blue ribbon tied around Selena’s middle. Smell of earth, green stems, something wet far off, hung without weight. Quiet stretched - so deep it felt wrong, given he’d only hours ago taken on another student, now stood seeing control fade beneath waves of bright female mirth.
Later on, once laughter faded, they noticed Leon again - left out, quiet. A pause settled between them, awkward, heavy. Her cheeks warmed slightly; so did his. She realized she barely knew him at all. What if he took offense? That thought stuck.
Mid-sentence, almost speaking, she felt Selena’s fingers brush her sleeve - soft pause, a smile forming.
"Don’t worry, Junior Sister. Master treats his students very well and never throws a tantrum. You’ll know when you get to know him better."
Her blue eyes shone with quiet admiration.
"Master is the person who treats me the best among all the people I’ve met.
"During the past few days on Amethyst Summit Division, my Master took care of me meticulously. Not only did he give me sacred pills and wondrous medicines, but he also imparted his cultivation insights to me. He even gave me our inherited treasure — the Amethyst Mist Sword."
As she spoke, her slender fingers brushed the hilt at her waist unconsciously, pride and gratitude mixing in her tone.
Rias was stunned.
There is truly such a Teacher in this world?
She had grown up surrounded by schemes, status, and silent calculations.
Outside her usual life, everyone offered help just to get more later. Still, this one person - wearing deep black clothing with narrow purple threads stitched throughout - handed things out freely. He did not wait. He simply acted.
A second glance came from her, eyes red like dusk. She looked his way once more.
A quiet strength held his posture firm, strands of dark hair drifting like smoke through the breeze, those violet eyes fixed somewhere beyond sight. Light pulsed low beneath his skin - leftover hum of old magic worn thin by fight after fight.
What made her breath catch whenever their eyes met?
Leon cleared his throat lightly. "Alright! Let’s talk on the way."
Out there, the horizon caught his eye. Darkness crept into the sky as the sun slipped below far-off ridges. Clouds held a thin glow, almost like fading firelight along their edges.
Night was coming.
"Alright, Master, get in the carriage. It’s windy outside." Rias gestured gracefully toward the red carriage behind her.
Leon didn’t stand on ceremony.
The carriage interior was indeed luxurious — silk cushions, layered curtains, subtle fragrance lingering in the wood. Compared to his simple wooden dwelling atop Amethyst Summit Division, this was... undeniably comfortable.
The three of them sat inside without feeling crowded at all. Rias’ presence brought warmth; Selena’s brought quiet purity. Akeno — drove the carriage outside.
As darkness fell fully, they stopped beside a lake.
Moonlight spilled over the water like scattered silver. The surface rippled gently, reflecting stars that seemed almost within reach. Crickets sang in the distance. The air carried cool dampness mixed with the faint scent of night-blooming flowers.
After setting up camp and settling down, Leon called Rias over.
"Disciple, your Senior Sister went out to hunt. I’ll take this time to teach you cultivation."
"Okay."
Rias sat before him gracefully, folding her legs beneath her. The red silk of her robe pooled around her like liquid fire. Beneath the fitted upper fabric, her breathing was visible — steady at first, then subtly uneven.
She was nervous.
Sitting so close, she could feel the faint warmth radiating from him. His scent — clean, sharp, slightly metallic from sword aura — made her pulse quicken.
Leon’s expression remained composed.
"Your aptitude is average, so I’ll help you improve it. I obtained this precious bone some time ago — the precious bone of an Inferno Kong. It carries fire affinity. Today, I will give this precious bone to you to absorb."
Rias’ eyes widened. "What?!"
She stared at the glowing bone in his palm, faint red veins pulsing across its surface.
Wasn’t this a King realm descendant’s precious bone?
He had risked his life for it.
And now he was simply... handing it to her?
"Master... are you joking with me? This is the precious bone of a King realm descendant. Are you really giving it to me?"
Leon’s tone was calm. "The so-called treasure depends on what value it can produce. If it has no value, then it’s just a piece of useless bone. Absorb it. There’s no need to feel sorry for me. Since you’ve chosen to become my student, your Teacher will not hide anything from you."
Rias felt her throat tighten.
No hesitation. No bargaining. No expectation.
Only certainty.
"Thank you, Master."
She accepted it with trembling fingers.
Following his guidance, she began to absorb.
Almost instantly, heat surged through her.
Her breath hitched.
It was as if molten fire had been poured into her veins. Flames roared inside her chest, spreading downward through her abdomen and outward into her limbs.
"Ah..."
A faint sound escaped her lips.
The red silk of her robe clung to her skin as sweat formed quickly. Her cheeks flushed deeply. The heat was unbearable.
She tugged at her collar.
The first layer of her outer robe slipped from her shoulders, revealing the pale smooth skin of her collarbones. The moonlight caught along the curve, illuminating droplets of sweat that traced slowly downward.
Leon stiffened.
He immediately turned his gaze aside.
Calm your mind.
He was her Teacher.
But he was also a man.
The fire continued intensifying within her. Her breathing grew heavier. Her chest rose and fell visibly beneath the thin inner fabric, the shape of her boobs pressing against damp cloth as heat radiated off her skin.
"Master... it’s so hot..."
Her voice trembled — not seductive, not intentional — just raw discomfort.
"Endure it. Guide the Mana downward. Do not resist the heat. Become one with it."
She nodded weakly.
Another layer slid from her shoulders.
Now only her thin inner garment remained, soaked and clinging. The outline of her curves was unmistakable — narrow waist, full chest, smooth hips that curved into a soft but firm ass beneath the remaining silk.
Leon clenched his jaw.
Focus.
The fire bone fused deeper.
Flames shimmered faintly beneath her skin, tracing patterns across her abdomen and lower back. She arched slightly as energy gathered near her core, sweat rolling down the valley between her breasts and sliding toward her navel.
Her fingers trembled as she resisted the urge to strip entirely.
Just one more layer...
But she remembered.
He was still here.
She stopped.
That small hesitation both relieved and disappointed Leon.
He exhaled slowly.
Within her lower abdomen, deep inside her prefecture sea, the new Divine Bone began forming — crimson, radiant, shaped like flickering flame.
Her body trembled violently.
"Mmm..."
The sensation of growth was both painful and unbearably itchy — like something awakening beneath her flesh.
Her hips shifted involuntarily.
Her back arched.
For a split second, the remaining garment slipped just enough to reveal more than propriety allowed — pale skin glowing in moonlight, the soft curve of her breast exposed to the night air.
Leon’s eyes flickered.
He saw.
He immediately turned away — but not before the image imprinted itself sharply in his mind.
Her flushed face.
Sweat-beaded skin.
Firelight dancing across her curves.
The shape of her boobs rising with ragged breath.
The faint curve of her ass pressed against the ground as she steadied herself.
His pulse quickened.
"Steady your mind..." he muttered, though he wasn’t sure whether he meant her or himself.
The Divine Bone fully formed.
A surge of flame erupted outward, then settled.
Her body relaxed.
Silence returned to the lakeside, broken only by her heavy breathing.
Leon exhaled slowly — and then cursed inwardly.
"Oh... I think I saw something I shouldn’t have. My Dao heart is unstable."
