From MC's Perspective:

I started to look around the mall, my eyes wandering to find the store, especially the place that buys and sells magic resources.

Right now, I don't have much money. It's really been a long time since I looted someone. I really miss the good times back in the Anderson Family Territory.

Unless I find new victims, I can't fill my inventory. After collecting my thoughts, I continued to look for the stores.

There are locals visiting here, wearing expensive clothes. Even the jewels they are wearing have mana. I felt these people are truly living luxuriously.

As I continued to walk along the corridor, I came across clothing shops and accessories. Surprisingly, I found they had different types of combat suits.

Suddenly, a thought came to mind.

"Outer Sky Exploration."

I am really curious about the Mage Union. What are these guys doing? Some of the technologies in use here are not known to the rest of the world.

Especially the aircraft shown by Lord Sharon and that arrogant guy. They seemed to be critical technology of the Mage Union.

I doubt any other Super Large Nation would go against the Mage Union with their tech. I made the right decision to join the Mage Union.

Meanwhile,

Jason Nicholson and his buddy Lucien were chatting.

"Lucien, I want you to test our new member," Jason Nicholson said all of a sudden.

Hearing that, the chubby guy was taken aback. Even though they are neighbors and friends, he was not stupid enough to attack a Silver Tower member.

His two men standing beside him were shocked as well. Their job was to protect their young master, but his friend was proposing something dangerous.

Jason noticed their expressions and was not surprised.

"Look, I want to know his strength. Why don't you arrange some men to deal with him?" Jason Nicholson asked.

Lucien's eyes flickered. He understood what was going on.

"This guy has found a new toy for his boredom. Now he is planning to implicate him as well," Lucien thought.

Despite his chubby and kind appearance, he was quick-witted. He doesn't want to offend the Nicholson Family. At the same time, he doesn't want to fall out of favor with him.

In the Magic City, people who have connections are not easy to mess with.

Lucien then smiled and said, "Why don't we tell the Black Tower guys about his details?"

"Black Tower!" Jason uttered.

His expression turned solemn. He then looked at the chubby guy with a knowing smile.

"This chubby guy wants me to face the consequences," Jason thought.

But he had to admit that the idea was not bad.

He then said, "It's a good idea."

The chubby guy was stunned. Seeing that Jason Nicholson was serious, he could only pray for the new guy. The Black Tower members, otherwise known as Lawful Evil Wizards, are no joke.

They are lawful because they have joined the Mage Union. Most of the Black Tower guys are research-oriented. There are others who still walk the path of evil.

Lucien learned from his father that the Mage Union is tasked with the Black Tower with the Outer Sky Exploration mission. Otherwise, no one would tolerate evil wizards.

The chubby guy then decided to cut the chat short. If he stayed here any longer, he might be dragged into something ugly.

He showed a sweet smile before saying, "I have some other important matters to look into. I'll see you next time."

"Okay," Jason replied.

He could see that the chubby guy was in a hurry to leave.

Lucien left the place, but Jason Nicholson kept his idea.

The Black Tower guys have always been opposed to the Silver Tower. It doesn't matter whether it's a Level-9 Wizard, Supreme Wizard, Magic Lord, or Forbidden Wizard.

Both tower groups were always hostile to each other.

Jason knew it was the same case with their lowest members, known as Wizard Seeds. His eyes flickered. He really wanted the Black Tower guys to know about Vincent Carey.

Then they would come to test the new member's strength. But he didn't want to be the one who leaked the news.

The damn Magic Lord Lara had warned him, so he was controlling himself.

He then thought about the auction today. He believed the auction is a place where various forces bid for the auctioned items.

There are going to be some quarrels and arguments. It's a good place to reveal Vincent Carey's existence. But then he thought about the other Silver Tower members.

He knew that Manager Lara had informed them as well.

"Those guys," Jason muttered.

The other Silver Tower members' backgrounds were better than his own, if not worse. Jason knew there were others like him. He doubted whether other members would talk to the new guy despite Manager Lara's call.

He shook his head before starting to look for Vincent Carey.

Meanwhile,

Inside one of the luxurious stores, I was browsing the sale items on their digital screen. There were so many magic resources that I was seeing the names of for the first time.

Unfortunately, they belonged to other streams of magic. There wasn't one for Gravity Magic. I didn't know whether it was okay to reveal my identity here.

Before the Magic City could know that the arrogant guy had brought me here, I pushed down my thoughts and started to look at the price tags for the cheap items.

But the result surprised me. Even the cheapest of the magic items was sold for 1 million mid-grade mana stones. There is no concept of low-grade mana stones here.

The top items are sold for Super Grade Mana Stones, which is something I'm hearing about for the first time. The Super Grade Mana Stones seem to be a grade higher than top-grade mana stones.

A look of understanding dawned on me.

I should have known since the mana here is in a semi-liquid state. People could grab mana from the air if they put in some effort.

"Customer, have you finished selecting?" a middle-aged woman asked.

Hearing that, I showed her a smile and replied, "I'll come back next time."

The middle-aged woman didn't say anything but continued to show her professional smile.

"Vincent Carey, you are here!"

The loud shout came from behind. Hearing that, I turned around and saw the person. It was Jason!

"What are you doing here?" Jason asked while walking into the shop.

"Nothing, I came here to look around at some stuff," I replied.

"Did you like any items?"

"I could, but not for you," Jason said with a smile.

Hearing that, I declined and said I was simply browsing the item names. Before he could speak further, I exited the shop.

A trace of disappointment flashed in Jason's eyes. He thought the country bumpkin was going to make a fool of himself.

Because the items priced here are expensive, most top items use Super Grade Mana Stones. Jason then left the shop.

The middle-aged woman sighed inwardly because she had noticed both of them wearing Silver Tower magic robes and crests earlier.

Their identity alone is enough to make anyone dare not offend them.

"Let's go to the restaurant and dine in. We can then enter the auction house later," Jason said while walking up to me.

Hearing that, I declined again. I don't have money. On top of that, I don't think this guy is generous enough to pay for me as well.

From the beginning, I wasn't getting any good vibe from him.

Jason Nicholson was pissed off. He found that the new member was not falling for any of his tricks.

"Did he find out?" he thought.

Just as he was about to say something, he received a call.

The call was from one of the Silver Tower members. His expression changed for a second.

On the other hand, I didn't fail to notice the change in expression of this guy. He seemed to be worried about something.

"Vincent, I need a minute," he said before going away to attend the call.

Seeing him go away, I became curious. Who could make him this flustered? I waited for him to completely disappear before following him.

As I had guessed, Jason turned back to look at me before going away. I asked the system to erase my presence. Thereafter, no one could sense me unless they saw me for themselves.

Then I started following his path.

Shortly afterward,

I came to a big lobby. I spotted him on the call, speaking to someone.

"System, did you sense any hostility from him?" I asked the system in my mind.

"Ding! Host, the system senses no malicious intent from the target."

The system voice sounded in my mind.

Hearing that, my mouth curved into an arc. Lately, I'm not using the system's functions properly. After pushing down these thoughts, I started walking up to him.

As I got closer, I could hear his conversation. Then I found a nearby sofa to sit on.

"Susan, I'm here at the mall. After the auction, I'll bring the new member back to the Silver Tower," Jason Nicholson said.
