Greatest Streamer System-Chapter 349 - – Easier Done Than Said
After buying Antidote in Utopia station, Max departed once again to kill the second Maltrax. There were a total of 4 Maltrax-related quests on the board, and he planned to finish 3 of them to advance to the main story.
Killing the second Maltrax was easier than the first. He remembered some of its attack patterns and managed to kill it after getting hit only once. He only drank an Antidote once for this quest.
The third time was even easier. He only got grazed by its wing and managed to kill it faster than before. He didn't even need to drink an Antidote.
"It's done!"
Max heaved a relieved sigh as he arrived at Utopia Station after killing the third Maltrax. A notification popped up in front of him as soon as he finished the quest.
[Mission is updated!]
[Colossal-Class Sighting!]
[You have proved yourself by killing 3 Medium-Class monsters and finished 3 quests! Head to Daigon Valley and meet Jamal to gain information regarding the Colossal-Class expedition.]
"Oh? The mission is updated. I have to meet Jamal in Daigon Valley base to continue the mission." He said, "Can I make the headgear in Daigon Valley's base?"
— Ooh! We're away from the birdie now!
— Daigon Valley! It's been a long time since you visited this base.
— The yapper again! I miss the yapper, it's been 2 hours since we last met!
— Dude… You missed a guy you saw 2 hours ago?
— Yeah, there are blacksmiths in Daigon alley too. You can make your headgear there.
— Would you climb the base again, Breeze?
Reading the chat, Max let out a wry chuckle.
"Alright, that's good to know. Also… Climbing the base? Which stupid person did that? There is a Garudama service we can use to reach the top of the base." He said, pretending to be oblivious as he headed to the train.
He had to find the conductor to head to Daigon Valley, who always stayed in the front carriage.
— Look at him, suddenly having amnesia.
— A sudden amnesia episode!
— Not surprising. He's trying to be humble, guys. He doesn't want to brag about his stupidity!
— Guys, do the thing! BloodSucker, I choose you!
— You can't command this noble me. But it's on the way.
[BloodSucker has started a mission!]
[Stream Mission: Climb the base in Daigon Valley in under 5 minutes.]
[Reward: 5,000 diamonds.]

"Nay, you can't tempt me with money," Max said as he neared the train and found the conductor. "I will only climb it when I am in the mood. Right now, I want to finish the mission as soon as possible and be done with it. Not even 5,000 diamonds can tempt me."
[ClimbThatShiet has added 10,000 diamonds to the stream mission.]
A notification stopped Max from walking. He looked at it and was considering taking the stream mission. After all, it wouldn't take 5 minutes to finish climbing something he had climbed before.
However, he shook his head at the devil that whispered into his ears.
"N-No, I won't climb it. Not even 15,000 is enough to tempt me! I want to see that Colossal-Class monster and rest for today. I am pretty tired already."
[ClimbThatShiet has donated 1,000 diamonds!]
[How much do you need for you to climb it? This is my first time watching live… Here because a clip from the past…]
— This guy is serious!
— Damn, finally someone who can match BloodSucker in terms of donation!
— Finally… A worthy opponent for this noble me
— I just want to see him climb… I want to see the technique…
"Thank you for the donation, ClimbThatShiet. However, as I said earlier, I won't climb anything unless I am in the mood. I was pretty tired before starting the stream, and getting injured when killing the first Maltrax further pushed me. I think I won't be able to finish climbing in 5 minutes even–"
[ClimbThatShiet has added 10,000 diamonds to the stream mission.]
"No, as I said–"
[ClimbThatShiet has added 25,000 diamonds to the stream mission.]
"Wait, stop! I told you already–"
[ClimbThatShiet has added 50,000 diamonds to the stream mission.]
"Fine!"
After the stream mission's reward had reached 100K diamonds, Max finally gave up and stopped it. If he didn't do it, then he felt this viewer would just add more diamonds to the mission to make him climb it. That would be a problem.
'That's already $2,000. He spends that much just to see me climb?' He thought as he heaved a sigh. 'He must be either my hardcore fan, someone like BloodSucker, or someone who is curious about how I climb the base. Either way, he's rich.'
— Biggest dono since BloodSucker!
— Will BloodSucker's throne be toppled by this new guy? Hahaha, this is fun
— N-No, this noble me has started the mission! You can't steal my spotlight like this!
— That's not my intention… I just want to see him climb…
The new viewer seemed to be adamant about seeing him climb.
"Well, I will climb it, alright? But don't expect me to climb down. That's harder than climbing up." He made a deal with the viewer and headed to Daigon Valley.
[ClimbThatShiet has donated 5,000 diamonds!]
[Thank you.]
Even his thank you was worth $100. Max laughed wryly and scratched his cheek.
"No… Thank you." He said as he boarded the train.
— He felt conflicted
— lol. Facing a lot of money makes him really humble
— Now that's what we call humble. Just say thank you without saying anything more
— Ding! Breeze has been tamed by money
— His brain can't process all of this. On the one hand, he likes money. On the other hand, he didn't want his viewers to donate too much money
Arriving at the Daigon Valley, the first thing Max found was the guiding light. It went toward the tall base and went up. When he looked up, he found Jamal on the top balcony peering down, waving his hand at him.
"Thankfully, my quest giver is on the top floor so I don't have to climb down." He said as he began to stretch his body. "Prepare the countdown, guys. I won't take off the sword either, as it's part of my equipment. Do you think I can finish this in 5 minutes?"
— You can
— It's a lie if you say you can't
— No, wait. His sword is heavier than before, so it's not sure whether he can do it or not.
— Nahh, he can definitely do it
— A premium account if he can do it
— Bet, a premium account if he fail
The chat began to bet with each other. Max smiled as he read it and went to the base. He looked up and remembered the path he had taken before. 5 minutes… It was doable as long as he didn't mess up.
"ClimbThatShiet… You better watch this."
Saying that, he began to climb, starting it with a big jump. He grabbed a pipe and began to climb like a monkey. His movement was smooth and skillful.
Reaching the middle of the base was pretty easy as there were many pipes. But the latter half was slightly difficult as he had to avoid the balconies that jutted out of the buildings.
Max didn't know how long it had been. However...
"We reach the top!"
... He was sure he did it.
"What's my time, chat? Tell me that it's under 5 minutes!"
