Grinding EXP From Fireball Skill-Chapter 111: Ant King
BAM!
Brad’s body was sent flying over ten meters, crashing into the swarm of ants.
The ore shattered, breaking apart and disappearing.
In its place, a red Iron-Eating Ant appeared.
The red Iron-Eating Ant was even larger than the Tier Two Iron-Eating Ants.
It stood two meters tall and was six or seven meters long.
Of the few people who had been carrying the ore, two were dead and two were injured.
Brad had fallen into the ant swarm, his fate unknown.
Rota saw the red Iron-Eating Ant and cried out in alarm, "The Ant King!"
Gu Ze instinctively looked at him and asked, "How strong is it?"
Rota’s face was grim. "The Ant King was probably undergoing an evolution just now. That’s why the swarm was protecting it."
"Now that its evolution is complete, it has to be at least a Tier Three Magical Beast!"
Hearing this, Gu Ze immediately thought of retreating.
A Tier Three Ant King.
It was already beyond his capabilities.
He could still try to come up with a way to deal with the Tier Two Iron-Eating Ants.
But a Tier Three Ant King, with his current strength, was something he couldn’t afford to provoke.
The Ant King turned to face the group, their figures reflected in its eyes.
The next second, the Ant King transformed into a crimson flash of lightning and shot toward them.
WHOOSH!
"Shield Counter!"
A Tier Two Knight raised his Shield, attempting to block the fast-moving Ant King and create an opening for the others.
BAM!
In the next moment, the Knight and the Shield in his hands were sent flying over ten meters.
The Knight slammed against the cavern wall, and his Shield was driven right into the rock.
The Ant King’s Power was terrifying.
BAM! BAM! BAM!
The Ant King charged into the crowd, slaughtering them at will. No one could stop it!
It was just like how the group had slaughtered the Iron-Eating Ants earlier.
"It’s too fast! I can’t get a lock on it!"
Wilder, the only Tier Two Mage present, said nervously.
Sweat beaded on his forehead. He had a very bad feeling.
The Ant King seemed to be charging straight for him.
Based on what had happened before, his Tier Two Magic Shield wouldn’t be able to withstand the Ant King’s attack at all.
Panic began to well up in Wilder’s heart.
He screamed in terror, "Stop it! Hurry up and stop it!"
"Fire Wall Skill!"
In his panic, Wilder cast a wall of fire in front of himself.
BAM!
The Ant King smashed through the wall of fire and, with flames engulfing its body, charged at Wilder.
The flames made its red body glow even more vibrantly.
It was like a living inferno.
"Mire Skill!"
SPLOOSH!
A Mage nearby cast a spell, attempting to stop the Ant King in its tracks.
The Ant King stepped into the mire, but a second later, it pulled its leg out with ease.
The mire’s area of effect was too small; it couldn’t halt the beast’s advance at all.
Before the Ant King’s terrifying Power, no obstacle could stop its relentless charge.
BAM!
Wilder was sent flying, and three bursts of light erupted from his body in quick succession.
All the Defense Magic Items he carried shattered just to block that single blow from the Ant King.
The Ant King quickly turned and swept through the remaining people.
In the blink of an eye, the group was slaughtered and scattered.
Those who were farther away saw this and felt relieved that they hadn’t gotten closer, having narrowly escaped disaster.
Li Wei watched the Ant King, and after a moment of consideration, he decided not to act.
Unlike the Rock Demon Beast, the Ant King was much faster, more agile, and had greater combat strength.
’The Charged Fireball Skill might be able to kill the Ant King, but the chances of hitting it are worryingly low.’
’This Ant King is a genuine Tier Three Magical Beast.’
’A powerful Tier Three Magical Beast with no weaknesses.’
Li Wei glanced at Gu Ze and the few others who had already fled the battlefield, then turned and vanished into the caverns.
"HIIISSS!"
The Ant King stood amidst its swarm and let out a roar.
The humans left behind a floor of corpses, fleeing the cave in disarray.
The Ant King did not give chase. Instead, it led its many Iron-Eating Ants back into the Flowing Silver Stone Lake.
It had just broken through and needed time to stabilize its new Level.
WHOOSH!
The Golden Anteater retracted its snake-like tongue, which had several Iron-Eating Ants and a rock stuck to it.
The Shadow Attendant passed the stone to Li Wei.
Li Wei gestured for it to place the stone directly on the ground.
The Golden Anteater’s tongue was covered in a sticky mucus and an acid potent enough to corrode metal. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Li Wei didn’t dare touch it.
The Golden Anteater placed the stone on the ground, extended a claw, and crushed it. A chunk of deep-colored Mithril fell out.
Li Wei carefully picked out the Mithril.
He glanced left and right, then shot a jet of flame from his fingertip to incinerate the Secret Silver Ore.
TSSSSS!
The Golden Anteater’s mucus and acid were burned away.
Li Wei picked up the Secret Silver Ore.
Flecks of black and brown earth were mixed in with the deep silver metal.
Secret Silver Ore needed to be refined to obtain high-purity Mithril.
The higher the purity of the Mithril, the higher its value.
Refining Mithril had to be left to professionals.
Alchemists, Potion Masters, and Blacksmiths could all refine Mithril.
Li Wei weighed the Secret Silver Ore in his hand. It didn’t feel heavy, three or four pounds at most.
He estimated that the amount of refined Mithril wouldn’t be much.
’It’s probably not enough to forge a Magical Weapon.’
Li Wei put the ore into a pocket of his cloak.
"Let’s go."
He had only taken a few steps when two people jumped out in front of him.
"Stop right there! Hand over the Secret Silver Ore!"
"Your Summoned Beast is impressive, sure, but in this situation, you’d be wise to just hand over the ore."
An Assassin emerged from behind Li Wei, a dagger pressed against his neck.
The Golden Anteater shifted.
The men shouted nervously, "Don’t move! Order your Summoned Beast to lie down and stay still!"
The Assassin pressed the dagger against Li Wei’s neck. "Behave yourself!"
’Wait. What is this?’
The Assassin felt a strange sensation from his dagger.
’This isn’t the feeling of skin.’
Li Wei swept a cold gaze over the men. "Kill them."
SHING!
In an instant, the crimson tongue became a bolt of lightning, piercing through the bodies of the two men in front.
They tried to dodge and defend, but it was completely useless.
They couldn’t even clearly see the tongue’s movement.
The Assassin realized there was something wrong with Li Wei. With a surge of desperation, he unleashed a Combat Skill, intending to take Li Wei down with him.
"Heart-Piercing Slash!"
KRAK KRAK KRAK!
The dagger collided with the Invisible Armor.
CRACK!
One layer of the Invisible Armor shattered.
A look of surprise appeared on Li Wei’s face. He praised, "Not bad. Quite impressive."
A glimmer of hope appeared in the Assassin’s eyes. He roared, "Make it stop! Or I’ll kill you!"
Li Wei sneered. "Aren’t you mistaken about something?"
The Assassin swiped the dagger across Li Wei’s back, trying to threaten him.
KRAK KRAK!
Seeing his dagger blocked, a look of shock crossed his face.
"Didn’t the Magic Shield already break?"
Li Wei said, "Sorry, I have many layers of shields."
SQUELCH!
A long tongue shot from behind, impaled the Assassin’s body, and lifted him up, away from Li Wei.
THUD!
The corpse was thrown to the ground.
The Assassin died with his eyes wide open.
Li Wei glanced at the dead Assassin.
His strength wasn’t weak; the ultimate attack he had unleashed could have injured a Tier Two Professional.
He had successfully broken one layer of Li Wei’s Invisible Armor.
For a Tier One Assassin, to have accomplished that was already quite impressive.
Li Wei casually reapplied a layer of Invisible Armor.
"Shadow Attendant, clean up the battlefield."
WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!
Everything on the men’s bodies was swept up and brought before Li Wei.
Li Wei took the money pouches and anything else easy to carry, then tossed the rest to the Golden Anteater.
CRUNCH! CRUNCH! CRUNCH! Nice and crispy.
The Golden Anteater ate as it walked.
Its wounds had already healed, and the metal Scales on its body had become even tougher.
