Guide to Failing as a Full-Level Green Tea-Chapter 7 - Call Me Sister
It wasn’t until the palace banquet ended that Shen Roujia finally relaxed completely.
However, to her surprise, Xu Zening, who should have stayed with the Emperor until the end, suggested returning with Shen Roujia.
This made the Emperor praise their seemingly deep affection once again.
Shen Roujia couldn’t help but find the situation both amusing and exasperating.
The palace paths on either side looked cold. Xiao Fu led the way with a lamp, while Shen Roujia steadily pushed the wheelchair, slowly walking along the cobblestone path.
Shen Roujia glanced at Xiao Fu, and in a voice only she and Xu Zening could hear, she murmured, “You’re not kind to me, yet you misuse my name outside.”
Xu Zening chuckled softly, “What if it’s to offset something?”
Shen Roujia didn’t understand, “Offset what?”
Xu Zening’s side profile, illuminated by the faint light, appeared more angular and slightly more gaunt. He explained naturally, “Since you pretended to be ill to deceive me, let’s call it even.”
Shen Roujia finally understood what Xu Zening was referring to.
She couldn’t help but raise her voice in defense, “When did I... That’s completely different. If we count it, I’m still at a loss.”
Xu Zening seemed to ponder for a moment. When he thought, he was incredibly quiet, with only his slightly trembling eyelashes hinting at any movement, making him look like a statue.
After a long pause, Xu Zening slowly spoke, “If that’s the case, to be fair, I can grant you one request. Does that suffice?”
Shen Roujia had always seemed different to Xu Zening. Though she appeared as a pawn, she seemed unaware of it. She looked simple, yet her eyes held a hidden strength.
It’s said that a ruler must not be indecisive or merciful. Shen Roujia suddenly had the thought that this Crown Prince might not make a good Emperor.
But he would definitely be a good son, a good husband, and an excellent Crown Prince.
Shen Roujia looked at his still somewhat youthful profile and suddenly felt mischievous. She lightly placed her delicate hand on Xu Zening’s shoulder.
“Any request?”
Her voice was soft and sweet, like glutinous rice cakes, causing Xu Zening’s heart to itch as if tickled by a feather.
His voice seemed a bit hoarse, “Yes.”
Shen Roujia smiled playfully, “You won’t blame me for being presumptuous?”
Xu Zening responded slowly, “No.”

The path seemed endless, like it would never reach its end.
Shen Roujia licked her dry lips with her tongue, looking at Xu Zening’s neatly tied hair, a wicked smile forming.
“I want... you to call me Sister.”
Xu Zening’s face showed a hint of embarrassment and disbelief, “What did you say?”
Even Xiao Fu’s steps seemed to pause for a moment.
Shen Roujia casually twirled a lock of her hair, “What? You can’t even agree to such a small request? Forget it, then. I’m not here to argue with you.”
Xu Zening’s clenched fist slowly relaxed, and the uncertainty in his heart seemed to be gradually dissipating.
But he never expected Shen Roujia to joke and tease him so boldly.
Shen Roujia returned to her carefree demeanor, not taking the matter to heart, as she had only intended to tease him.
As they turned the corner, the light grew brighter, and Xiao Fu quickly walked ahead.
In the dim light, Xu Zening’s expression was unreadable. With a half-smile, he said, “Sister, I’ll be counting on you from now on.”
The husky voice reached Shen Roujia’s ears in the dark.
Before she could respond, Gao Huaichang emerged from the corner, respectfully greeting them, “Your Highness, Crown Princess.”
Gao Huaichang took the handle of Xu Zening’s wheelchair, “Crown Princess, let me take over.”
Shen Roujia, as if hiding something, said she would head back first and quickly left with Xiao Fu.
Xu Zening watched her retreating figure, a barely perceptible smile forming on his lips. After a while, he turned to Gao Huaichang, “Have you made the arrangements I asked for?”
Gao Huaichang nodded seriously, “Yes, Your Highness, everything is arranged.”
Xu Zening responded with a faint hum, his dark eyes glinting in the night, “Keep a close watch.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
A few days later, under the bright sun, Gao Huaichang visited Shen Roujia’s courtyard again.
“Miss Xiao Fu, please inform the Crown Princess that the home visit has been arranged. However, His Highness is too busy to accompany her.”
Xiao Fu nodded and happily went to relay the message, finding Shen Roujia already at the door.
“Crown Princess.”
Shen Roujia waved and smiled, “I heard.”
Shen Roujia had no real concept of family affection and didn’t feel any particular attachment to these unfamiliar relatives.
However, the home visit did make Shen Roujia a bit excited, not because of returning to the Shen residence, but because it allowed her to leave the Eastern Palace and go out.
“Xiao Fu, the necessary preparations should have been made over there. We’ll travel light.”
Seeing Shen Roujia’s indifferent expression, Xiao Fu hesitated before asking, “Crown Princess, you don’t seem very happy about seeing your family.”
Shen Roujia smiled, “We’re only going for a few days.”
Xiao Fu remained puzzled, but Shen Roujia had already returned to her room.
At her dressing table, she rummaged around, unsure of what she was looking for until her gaze landed on a cabinet. She suddenly stood up.
Shen Roujia had never worried about money before. After coming here, she discovered that most of what she had were fancy but impractical items.
Even if she had real money, there weren’t many places to spend it in the Eastern Palace.
She opened a wooden box in the cabinet, filled with gold and silver jewelry.
She seemed to have a plan, and with a satisfied nod, she grabbed a pouch from beside it.
Shen Roujia had mentally prepared herself to meet her siblings.
But the reality seemed different from what she had imagined.
Shen Siqi, though looking disdainful, had a gaze full of concern for Shen Roujia.
She mumbled, “How did you get so thin in the palace?”
“Doesn’t the Eastern Palace feed you? And what are you wearing? It’s worse than at home.”
“I told you to come with me to Huizhou. Why suffer in the palace?”
Shen Siqi’s endless complaints were annoying, but Shen Roujia could feel her sincerity.
Shen Roujia was dumbfounded. Wasn’t the original host supposed to have a tragic life, with parents dead and no love from the family?
