Li Nuanzi was simply speechless. She watched the people pulling their children inside the cave and turned to look away. She walked around the tribe, trying to joke around and at the same time trying to ask simple questions that would help her understand the situation of this tribe better. But even though the elders and the people of the tribe were divided most of the time, they knew that they could not foolishly let others in on their secrets.

Thus, even though Li Nuanzi tried her best to get the answers to her questions, the tribe members remained vague, not giving her a single chance to get what she wanted.

Li Nuanzi knew that she wouldn’t be able to get anything if she didn’t step in. With a smile on her lips, she began, "It’s nothing like that, Chief Xie. Just now we were talking, and Shao Xia told me about the good things that you can make with the help of fire. She also told me that you have long stopped consuming uncooked meat...I was wondering if you could let us have a taste of it?"

Only the big bear tribe had a holy flame, and as for the rest of the tribes, they could only wait for the beast goddess to bless them.
