She knew that the woman was greedy for the fire and the herbs as well. Though an alliance was indeed something great in the eyes of these beast people, Ruan Chanchan didn’t quite believe it. "Nuanzi!" Li Rong turned and looked at his cousin in shock. He couldn’t believe that the woman was willing to agree to Ruan Chanchan’s term. Even though he was smitten with her earlier because of how good she looked, after finding out that she was none other than Ruan Chanchan, he wanted to go against her. Thus, when he heard that his sister was willing to listen to her nonsense, he couldn’t help but raise his voice in objection.

"Shut up," Li Nuanzi snapped. She turned to look at Li Rong and glared at the idiot. Did he think that this was the time for him to act up? If his beloved Shao Xia was not useless in handling this woman, would they have to worry about being fooled by Ruan Chanchan?

Li Rong opened his mouth but sensing the dangerous aura emanating from his cousin, he pursed his lips and turned silent. He wanted to say that Li Nuanzi was being fooled by Ruan Chanchan but he couldn’t bring himself to say a thing. After all, his cousin was his mother’s favorite student and when he was leaving the tribe, his mother had specifically told him that he should follow his cousin and not cause any trouble. If his cousin complained against him in front of his mother, he was worried that his mother would punish him.

He could only stay quiet and let his sister deal with Ruan Chanchan. However, at the same time, he felt really dissatisfied with the female. What was good about her?
