Half-Hearted: Mr. Sinclair, Stop the Act!-Chapter 228: Slap, Beating
When news of "Sienna Monroeβs marital infidelity" broke online in the morning, Vivian Nash had been closely monitoring the direction of the reports and comments.
Since returning from the courthouse that day, she hadnβt had a good nightβs sleep. ππ»πππππ«π£π€πππ΅.ππ€π’
She felt like she was living every day under the shadow of Sienna Monroeβs ruthless and sinister tactics, which led to constant nightmares.
She kept dreaming of her own miserable endβeither in jail, being hacked to death by Sienna, or being humiliated to death by people under Siennaβs orders.
This almost overwhelming sense of panic and insecurity was torturing her to the brink of collapse.
In just a few days, a good nightβs sleep had become a luxury.
She also looked much more haggard.
As if she had lost weight again.
Her reputation was already beyond repair, her secrets laid bare online.
Even just walking around the neighborhood, she had to endure disdainful looks from the housekeepers and servants of other residents, and occasionally, more arrogant homeowners would throw insults and mock her.
She had heard every kind of nasty and foul language there was.
But no matter how angry, resentful, and suffocated she felt inside, she had no chance to retort or vent.
Everything she was enduring now was thanks to Sienna Monroe!
She wanted to see Siennaβs reputation destroyed too.
To taint Siennaβs previously noble and privileged life, born with a silver spoon, with a deep and indelible stain.
Make her a lifelong joke in the circles of scholars in Imperial City.
The mere thought of Sienna soon being the subject of gossip, ridiculed and unable to show her face among the elite in Imperial City, shamed by her own family, filled Vivian Nash with immense satisfaction.
A sinister and dark smile couldnβt help but spread across her face.
But this sense of triumph and joy didnβt last long, because the counterattack from Sienna and Sebastian Prescott came too quickly.
So fast that she was caught somewhat off guard.
The report exposing the true marriage of Caleb Sinclair and Sienna had barely been trending for an hour or two before a clarification statement was issued by noon.
It even sternly stated that they would pursue legal action against her.
Her grip on her fingers gradually whitened, her heart pounded wildly, and she involuntarily began to panic.
Not long after the statement was released, Sebastian simply posted a video of her stalking and secretly photographing Sienna the previous afternoon.
Seeing it, her heart momentarily stopped, and her breathing became completely erratic.
She felt a deep sense of unease.
In the afternoon, before she could even extract herself from this state of panic, the doorbell suddenly rang outside her door.
She paused for a moment, the unease instantly magnified.
She felt that whoever was ringing the doorbell wasnβt who she wanted to see.
The inexplicable bad feeling strongly surged through her entire being.
After the doorbell rang for the third time, she finally moved, somewhat impatiently, to the door.
But upon seeing the unfamiliar face displayed on the wall video, she was momentarily stunned.
A postal courier?
She blankly opened the door, and the courier looked at her and asked, "Is this Miss Nash?"
"Yes, I am..."
The courier handed her a letter. "Here is a document sent from the court, please sign for it."
Court documents?
Vivian Nashβs expression stiffened slightly, quickly realizing what it was.
Was it...a judgment?
A judgment ordering her to return the property to Sienna?
She moved her lips, tremblingly accepting the letter, and just by seeing the words on the cover, she knew she wasnβt mistaken.
The courier pointed to a spot, "Just sign here."
Vivian Nash bit her lip. Once she signed the judgment, from today on, the house, the car, and the jewelry would no longer be hers.
But not signing didnβt seem to make much difference either.
After all, it had already taken legal effect.
Thinking about losing these things soon, her heart plunged into a cold, deep abyss, quickly freezing over, as if even her heartbeat was untraceable.
"Miss Nash?"
The courier saw her unresponsive for a long time and couldnβt help but urge, "Please sign, I still have to deliver more items."
Vivian Nash snapped back to reality, the pain, bitterness, and a trace of venom in her eyes too late to hide.
Meeting the startled and questioning gaze of the courier, she quickly withdrew, forcing a bitter smile, "Iβm sorry, Iβll sign right away."
After she signed, the courier took the pen and hurried off without lingering.
As soon as he left, Sienna showed up at the door.
Seeing Vivian Nash standing at the door, an imperceptible glint flashed in Siennaβs eyes, and her steps quickened.
Being outside saved her the trouble of ringing the doorbell.
As she approached, Vivianβs previously unfocused, hazy gaze finally concentrated. She looked in surprise at the poised figure approaching, her pupils slightly dilated.
But the moment she thought of the judgment she had just signed, that trace of venom in her eyes couldnβt be contained.
She raised her voice angrily, "What are you here for..."
Smack!
Vivianβs angry voice hadnβt even finished before a crisp, loud slap cut through the air.
Sienna put a lot of force into that slap.
Vivianβs physical condition was not particularly good right now, especially after having neither eaten nor slept well these days.
Now, caught off guard by the slap, she staggered, slamming into the door frame.
The envelope she was holding fell to the ground.
Half of her body felt a numb, aching sensation.
She widened her eyes in shock, dazed for a few seconds, then exploded with more anger, "Sienna! Are you mad?! How dare you hit...ah..."
Smack!
Smack!
Before she could finish, two more slaps followed, leaving her no time to react.
Sienna had no intention of wasting words with her.
She would slap first, talk later.
These slaps should have landed on Vivianβs face months ago. Having held back for so long, today was finally the day for it.
She didnβt hold back at all. Pitying Vivian would have been cruel to herself.
So, she swung her arm without reservation, and as Vivianβs body began to falter, as if about to collapse, she firmly grabbed Vivianβs hair.
Still not holding back, she easily dragged her out as if pulling straw.
"Sienna! Ah, Sienna! You lunatic, let go! My hair!"
Vivian was at a loss as to which pain to address first.
She initially felt her face didnβt belong to her, and now she felt as if Sienna was about to rip her entire scalp off.
The once serene high-end neighborhood was immediately filled with her pig-like shrieks of rage.
Security guards, a few nearby residents, housekeepers, and servants all came out to watch.
Sienna, seeing her struggle hard, casually let go.
There were still a dozen or so strands of hair left between her fingers.
But as Vivian suddenly lost her grip, she once again began to stumble, only barely bending halfway down to prevent herself from falling.
She glared fiercely at Sienna, not even having time to speak.
Sienna raised her hand again, slapping Vivianβs other unscathed cheek.
Smack!
The slap was equally resounding.
It almost pierced through the sky above Rippling Crest Estates.
Vivian was completely dazed by the hit.
Both cheeks swelled rapidly, especially the one she had slapped three times.
It was swollen high.
Driven by extreme anger, she forgot all about her usual act of feigning weakness and innocence, charging forward to hit back.
But Sienna had anticipated this and sidestepped as soon as Vivian lunged at her, pushing her to the ground in one swift motion.
Kneeling on Vivianβs shoulder, she deliberately applied pressure.
Vivian screamed in pain, "Sienna, you bitch! Let go of me, I swear Iβll kill you!"
