Harem Legion: Queens of the Apocalypse-Chapter 201 He Grows Food Like He Grows Women
The next day, Liana went through all the empty trucks in the group, calculating exactly how much cargo space was left. Meanwhile, Magnus had each squad leader gather women who knew how to farm. He gave them a crash course on vegetable cultivation, getting a rough idea of what crops were best. In the end, he settled on five: Chinese cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, and potatoes - high yield and nutritious.
Chloe, Isabel, Kristina, Amelia, Megan, and Amber - six deputy leaders - each took ten squads and headed out toward nearby towns and places like Hanford City to look for seeds. Sophia led her team to scout good farmland around Ashbrook Town. Charlotte spread the word to all survivor groups, offering high prices for Earth-infused soil and long-haul sleeper buses. Emily oversaw the vehicle refits.
Everyone got busy again.
Three days later, the seed search teams were back with large hauls, storing them all in the underground granary. Liana had also finished her vehicle count. They had 239 box trucks now, 13 more than before. Of those, 117 were packed with supplies, and the other 112 were free to load more.
They had 652 buses refitted for troop transport. Out of these, 233 had been converted into cargo carriers, though limited to light goods - paper, clothes, insecticide, bedding, smokeless charcoal. They were too fragile for heavy stuff like vegetables and Earth-infused soil.
That morning, Magnus and Sophia took three deputy leaders to the land Sophia had found - a 35-acre open field. It was late October, and up north the cold was setting in. Normally, vegetables couldn’t grow outside greenhouses in this season.
But Earth Crystals changed the game. They matured crops instantly. Magnus tested one himself. Not only did it boost yield - turning 10 acres into 30 - it cut down timing drastically.
Over 2,000 prisoners were brought out, along with 1,000 female Ice Regiment soldiers. Five hundred handled security, clearing infected creatures and watching the skies. The other 500 supervised the prisoners during work.
Once the 30-acre field was seeded, Magnus used the Earth Crystal again, just like he’d done with the ginseng. Within ten minutes, the field sprouted vibrant, red tomatoes.
Tomatoes are continuous bearers, typically yielding 4,000 kilograms per acre - 4 tons. That’s 120 tons for 30 acres. But Earth Crystals don’t give all the harvest in one go. You pick the first batch, then twenty minutes later, another batch grows.
On the first day, one Earth Crystal gave around 145 tons of tomatoes. The second day he switched to Chinese cabbage, around 5 tons per acre, totaling 150 tons. Day three was green radish - 10 tons per acre, yielding 300 tons. Day four, cucumbers. Day five, potatoes. Respectively, they got 300 and 130 tons.
Five days, five Earth Crystals, and over 1,000 tons of vegetables in the bag. Magnus had gotten hooked on farming. Even after all his recent work, he still felt like his hands were itching to dig in again. He’d collected 164 Earth Crystals, used 5, and still had 159 left. On the sixth day, he was ready to head out again when Liana rushed over to stop him.
"Magnus! You’ve already grown over a thousand tons of vegetables. Even if our vehicles can carry it, we don’t have enough meteorite soil. All these days, we only gathered a bit over 60 tons. Add in the 370 tons we had, and it’s not enough for half your crops. Don’t push it. As long as we’ve got soil, we can keep planting while we eat."
He paused, nodded slowly. Liana had a point. Yeah, five thousand people would chew through 1,000 tons eventually, especially at five people per meal - that’s about 2,000 catties each time. But somehow, the math showed he’d grown enough for each person to eat 400 catties. That could feed someone for two years.
Still... the thrill of planting with Earth Crystals was addicting. Tap your fingers, and tons of lush vegetables just popped out from the soil. That rush of watching the earth burst alive - it made Magnus feel like a damn king.
Fifteen thousand boxes of canned food, over a thousand tons of vegetables, endless grain, nearly three thousand Water Crystals...
If the apocalypse stayed this quiet, Magnus figured he wouldn’t mind dying old, grinning like an idiot.
Another month passed. By the end of November, the first snow hit Ashbrook Town. The underground granary wasn’t much warmer than outside, and the women needed to brace for the cold.
They’d recently bought 13 long-haul sleeper buses and 62 coach buses at high prices. After modding 65 coach buses, each one could now house 51 people on triple bunks. The remaining 46 unmodified sleepers still held over 3,100 teammates. With the mods, there was room for 3,300 more. Everyone had a spot of their own now.
That night, Liana handed out new heaters - a meter-high furnace per bus, sized just right to hold a kettle on top. Each one had a designated person to maintain it, keeping the pot filled and the steam going to warm up the bus for the women inside. It worked well. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Fuel? Still meteorite soil. Liana had crunched the numbers - 1 kg of soil, 1 liter of water, kept the furnace running 24 hours straight. For 100 buses, they’d burn through 1 ton in 10 days. Ten tons would carry them through the winter till March, all within budget.
Inside the main bus lounge, Sophia and Emily brought together the team’s leaders for a wrap-up meeting. Over the past month and a half, most things had been squared away - only Charlotte still had a job swapping food supplies. Everyone gave their updates tonight. Tomorrow was inspection day.
After the meeting, the women returned to their buses. Magnus went out alone, as usual, to top off the water in the Ice Regiment’s fire truck.
Using Water Crystals gave a threefold effect - and he could stop anytime. Everyone knew this already, so the job naturally fell to him.
The underground granary had filled with vehicles. Originally wide enough for three cars side by side, now - thanks to Magnus’s order to create trap-spike lanes - only two fit across. What was left were narrow footpaths on either side.

Once the fire truck was watered, it was past 11 p.m. Magnus went for a long soak - two hours, a few Chapters of a book. Around 1 a.m., he stepped out, ready to head to bed.
But just a few steps from the bathing vehicle, he caught voices - women talking. Sounded like arguing.
He slowed down, ears sharp. He wanted to know what the hell was going on...
