Harem System: Spending Money On Women For 100\% Rebate!-Chapter 260: This Is My Dream...
Chapter 260: This Is My Dream...
Kyle sat with Isabella face-to-face. She was nervous because Kyle had a serious look on his face, which meant whatever he wanted to discuss must be important.
"What can I do for you, sir?" Isabella asked, but Kyle remained silent for a minute, spaced out as he was lost in his head.
"...Sir?" Isabella called out, snapping Kyle back to reality, but he played it off.
"Say, Isabella, what is your vision?" Kyle asked, prompting Isabella to raise a brow—they had discussed this on their first day of meeting.
However, there was a good chance he might have forgotten, which wouldn’t be strange considering how busy he had been.
"My vision is to be the biggest talent agency in the United States," Isabella said, with a look of confusion still plastered across her face.
"I see," Kyle responded, sounding a tad disappointed, as if he was looking for something grander.
"Is something wrong?" Isabella quickly asked, hoping she hadn’t said anything that would put her role here at risk.
"Nothing is wrong. I wanted to see if we are on the same page," Kyle said, but there was something different about his demeanor.
It had changed—something must have happened, hence why he was here in the first place.
Kyle had gotten careless. The money made him feel invincible, but Priscilla had shown her morals might not be corruptible.
Kyle hadn’t attempted anything yet, but if he did, she would have all the evidence she needed to prosecute him.
This would be Kyle playing his hand, and that was dangerous because he had another problem besides her.
If the Mafia found out he had any association with the police, they would go after his head as well.
He was playing both sides and had to maintain a balance that could cost him his life if broken.
"I—I hope we are," Isabella said nervously, trying her best to mask it, but Kyle saw right through her.
"I’m afraid we aren’t," Kyle replied, looking her directly in the eyes. This sent shivers down her spine.
She didn’t know what else to say, but her heart told her this might be the end of her role here.
"America is too small a dream, Isabella," Kyle added. Realistically speaking,
it would take an insane amount of money and influence to establish branches around the world.
Even with that, locals of said nations might rebel against it because they are foreigners.
"What are your goals, sir?" Isabella asked, trying her best to understand what was going through his head.
"Everything. I don’t just want this country—I want everything else. I want to redefine the entertainment industry worldwide," Kyle said.
Isabella raised a brow—this was similar to what he said when they first spoke,
but never had she heard him talk about conquering the world like he was Genghis Khan.
This made her realise the man sitting here was more ambitious than she had ever given him credit for.
"Do you think you can support my vision, Isabella?" Kyle asked, locking eyes with her again.
Her heart began to race—not out of arousal, but because this man’s dream embodied what she thought was impossible.
"I will do my best," Isabella responded, feeling the anxiousness leave her body. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
"My dream was too small..." Isabella thought to herself. And despite Kyle giving her full control over the agency,
for the first time, he had shared his dream with her, and Isabella was impressed by the vision he held.
Cassandra was done with her outing with Dexter, and to her surprise, she enjoyed it a lot more than she thought she would, which was something entirely new to her.
It had been a while since she had spent time with another man, and she couldn’t lie—she enjoyed the experience.
It was different because they were friends, and there was nothing sexual about their interaction.
The fact that she was more confident played a huge role; she would have overthought their interaction before, which would have led to her insecurities resurfacing.
She returned home, and a text was already waiting for her from Dexter. It elicited a smile from her.
[[Hey, Cassey, I had fun today. We should do this again soon. Let me know when you get home safe.]]
Cassandra was tempted to text him right away, but there was no rush—he would be fine either way.
She wondered what would be an appropriate thing to say because she didn’t want to send mixed signals that could potentially lead him on.
If there was one thing she’d figured out about men, it was that they would sleep with a woman if she said yes, regardless of whether they truly wanted to or not.
However, this couldn’t be the same with Dexter, because he could get any woman he wanted.
And by any woman, she didn’t mean just anyone with a pretty face, but a woman with the status that came with it.
While she tried her best to be an understanding partner to Kyle, the fact that he could go so long without reaching out to her worried her.
She found herself wanting to be a bigger part of his life, but who could blame her? She was once a married woman.
It wasn’t strange that she wanted to ravage Kyle with the love that had been abused by her ex-husband.
And this was the only reason she decided to send a text message back to Dexter.
[[Hello Dexter, I had a great time too! We should do it again sometime soon. I just got home, thank you for checking in!]]
Cassandra responded soon after, but she stared at the text—
Analysing it from a third person’s point of view, because there was a chance Kyle could stumble upon it in the future.
She didn’t want to leave any room for misinterpretation before hitting that send button.
But there was something she didn’t—and couldn’t—know.
This was the same man who had recently made contact with Ella and would ultimately bring their paths together.
