He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 662. Anticipation
"Thank you for having me."
Kailen simply replied with a warm nod.
After this, the Great Hall went silent as everyone sat down again. The eyes of students brimmed with fanaticism and anticipation; it was time to know what courses, or course, Professor Darkhaven would be tutoring.
Principal Theodora quickly satiated their curiosity.
"As agreed on, Professor Darkhaven has decided to teach Runesmithery, Alchemy, and Advanced War Tactics. Classes for these courses have been scheduled for three times a month. Professor has decided to provide a day’s prior notice of when and where the lectures would take place every month, depending on his schedule. Everyone knows the protocol to follow to join the courses of professors. So, I won’t waste time on that. Dismissed."
The meeting came to a conclusion.
The students left the hall with great anticipation for Professor Darkhaven’s lecture—especially the Advanced War Tactics. Not everyone of them were runesmiths or alchemists, so they could not attend the runesmithery and alchemy lectures. But each one of them knew how terrifying the Mad Tactician was when it came to tactical acumen. They didn’t need to be told how important this lecture would be to their survival.
Of course, Kailen himself didn’t have any plans of sharing with them profound secrets related to manipulation and tactical prowess. He would just be sharing surface-level insights. He had no plans of creating another person with his thoughts and mindset. Kailen was consciously aware of how unique his mindset and worldview was. He was no narcissist; he just knew himself very well. He knew he was dangerous because of it. And because of that, he would not disciple someone else into becoming him. That would not be advantageous for him in any way.
Kailen was someone to be always careful. He was only teaching this Advanced War Tactics course because it was a course in the academy curriculum they had personally created just for him to tutor.
After this, Kailen was introduced formally to the staff members—the professors included—by the Principal. He received a brief orientation of the academy from the Principal, after which he was escorted to his residence: a large villa in one of the staff residential districts.
However, the virtual universe was blowing up. Videos of the occurrences in the Great Hall were everywhere. At Kailen’s level of influence, everything he did was bound to draw attention.
"Seriously. Bro literally pissed on himself?"
"Hehe, that Professor’s reputation is cooked."
"Classic face-slapping. Didn’t he request for a duel?"
"Hehe. Bro said he’s not worthy now."
"This is power on another level. Just the mention of his name, and his mere presence causes such a reaction."
"The looks on the faces of everyone in the hall was classic."
"But honestly, those RiverBlood Empire people are really fortunate."
"Their academy will definitely be flocked by all and sundry in the universe thanks to the presence of Kailen Darkhaven as a professor."
"Indeed. Even if he is to vacate his post one day, the mere fact that he taught here has elevated the prestige of the RiverBlood Empire Academy."
"Yeah. It’s the same way several are trying to enter the Dao Enlightenment Academy these days, not just because it’s an academy formed by the Universe Alliance, but because they want to study at where the former Void Arbiter carved a legend."
As these discussions were ongoing, Kailen was relaxing on a couch in the living room of his villa.
"So, the academy treats professors extremely differently. I have indefinite access to high-tier cultivation chambers and secret realms. I only have to accept at least one mission every month from the academy and I will keep enjoying these benefits. It’s a fair system I’m not against. Things have really turned out better than I expected. I should schedule my first three lectures for this week. After that, I will take on a mission. When I return, I will make use of the secret realms and cultivation chambers to cultivate," Kailen decided.

RiverBlood Empire Academy
In one of the Student Residential Districts, the three blue moons cast cerulean light on all beneath. Several buildings lined the perimeter, stretching for as far as the eyes could see.
In one of these villas, a fellow stood by the terrace, in thought. Mistborne sighed deeply as his mind played back the occurrence at the Great Hall. His master had pissed on himself and even apologized to someone like he was a little child. His worldview of power had been shattered.
Till now, he deemed his master untouchable in the empire—someone extremely powerful and well-connected with influential people. When he heard the news of some mysterious person to be made a professor, he was shocked. His master, Professor Kyrion, was helping him learn some rank 8 runic arrays at the time. He saw how dissatisfied his master became when he heard the news. He had never been this angry. He was there when Kyrion decided to have a duel with this mysterious professor during his inauguration.
So, when his master requested the duel, Mistborne was honestly not shocked. But when the person his master requested the duel against appeared, he was. To say he was shocked was actually an understatement. He was terrified. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
The events that unfolded later on was a sight he would never forget. Even his master—a professor, a prestigious figure in the empire even the emperor would give some face—had acted like a chicken in front of him, to the point of soiling himself.
"I should not be surprised. Anyone in master’s situation would have probably fared worst or reacted the same way. This is someone who can erase entire civilizations without battling an eye after all," Mistborne thought. "And to think I met him before. What must he have thought at the time when I was acting all smug and haughty?"
A memory flickered in his eyes. Mistborne remembered when he met Kailen Darkhaven, who at the time was posing as Karag Anvilheart in the FistFar Galaxy. They brushed shoulders. Mistborne passed by him after his assessment to become a rank 8 runesmith in one of the Runesmith associations of the Galaxy.
"He must have thought I was too proud with my achievement," he sighed. "No. Would someone like him even have cared? Someone with a rune skill Proficiency of 99.99 percent? Definitely not."
Mistborne decided. He would attend Professor Darkhaven’s runesmith lecture. Although he knew his master had been humiliated by Professor Darkhaven, he won’t let social attachment cloud his judgment. There was no reason to pass up such an opportunity.
"Also, master will definitely understand. He’s not shallow-minded."
At the moment, his ID slot screen revealed a notification. The first lecture is scheduled for tomorrow, huh. It was the runesmith lecture. Several runesmith students, just like Mistborne, were eagerly anticipating this lecture tomorrow.
