Chapter 107: Spirit Mine

After turning right, he had moved just twenty meters when he found what he was looking for. He got stunned again. This cave was practically filled with only one thing—spirit stones, a lot of them.

He immediately went inside, and again, his ring shined, and all the spirit stones went inside.

He sighed immediately. That was too much. No wonder Senior Huan wanted to rob the sects; if even a single territory lord could collect this much, then how much would a sect that had existed for hundreds of years have?

Now even his heart fully supported the idea of looting the sect unconditionally. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

Since Senior Yin Ni didn’t say anything else, then that meant all the good stuff was already inside his ring.

He came out and saw that Huan Caiyi was storing the bodies of the beasts inside her storage bag.

When she saw him coming out, she got surprised.

"Done already?"

Jiang Hao nodded.

"Was this beast really that poor?"

Jiang Hao shook his head. If not for his ring, then they would still be inside that spirit herb section, and not even half of it would have been looted by him.

"It had really a lot, Senior, at least far more than my imagination. I was able to store everything directly inside the ring; it’s like a ability similar to teleportation."

Huan Caiyi nodded in acceptance and said,

"Next time you are definitely coming with me when we go to loot any sect. You don’t know how handy that ability is."

Jiang Hao nodded. He really wanted to do the same.

Huan Caiyi smiled.

"Good, then should we leave or search for another bea—"

While speaking, her eyes widened.

"Let’s go immediately."

Jiang teleported in front of Huan Caiyi instead of moving; it was better not to be seen by the territory lord, or it would really go mad and search for them relentlessly without ever stopping its search.

They immediately disappeared. This time he had used the minor teleportation function instead of using his own qi. They teleported five hundred miles away and came directly to the border of the Dark Forest.

After Huan Caiyi checked the surroundings, she relaxed.

"It’s safe."

Jiang Hao nodded and relaxed himself too.

He wondered if the territory lord got the lion or not. Its mood might have improved somewhat, because after finding out about its abode, it was definitely going to get utterly mad.

So angry that it might kill all the beasts in the territory.

They didn’t return to the mountain where they lived yet. They had already decided to at least explore for a month before coming back, so there was no point in going, although they had far more than what would have taken years to collect. It wouldn’t stop them from collecting even more.

"Let’s go and see if we can find any other territory."

Jiang Hao again used teleportation to go back to the zone. This time, the direction was different from before.

...

Yao Ying returned back to the mountain with Fenglai, who was following her even more respectfully. His fear had already worn off after following her this long.

While they were walking in the forest, many spirit beasts came to attack them, but once those beasts saw her, they all became as docile as newly born pups. Instead of running away, they all wagged their tails and waited for her to dismiss them.

Fenglai knew that those spirit beasts were definitely far stronger than him, but after seeing her, their blood must have turned cold as ice; you wouldn’t be able to move even if you wanted to run away.

Well, this was given, because if you entered her eyes, then running away was impossible. None of them knew how strong she was, but the suppression they felt from her was unimaginable.

She didn’t kill any one of the spirit beasts and just walked at a normal pace. Fenglai felt like a king walking with her. He even felt stares of jealousy from the spirit beasts.

She had even asked him if he was hungry. Although he wanted to say no, since he really was hungry, he just said yes.

She then brought him to a place where spirit beasts of his strength were living, and he hunted his own food. It really was bliss. Only after he filled his stomach did they return to the mountain.

She had promised to take him for a walk every day. This really was bliss for him.

After reaching the mountain, Yao Ying looked towards the forbidden zone. She could easily feel where Jiang Hao was. If she wanted, she could even see him perfectly.

But she didn’t do that—not because she was concerned about his opinion or anything—it was just because she wondered if she would really feel something which was almost impossible for her to feel otherwise.

Although she had claimed that, with Jiang Hao’s personality, she wasn’t worried about anything, seeing him interact with others with her own eyes would be a different matter altogether.

She sighed. For her, fated held a different meaning. She didn’t know how Jiang Hao was feeling, but after meeting her, he really showed a composure that would not be possible for a boy of his age. Forget about them being fated, which increased their attraction—her beauty alone was enough for others to lose their composure easily.

For her, fated meant perfect in every aspect for each other. When two people are perfect for each other in every aspect, then even fate treats them as a single entity and creates a illusory string to bind them. This is typically how fated comes into existence.

It is a reality and truth which cannot be discarded merely if you wish. The price of wanting to deny your fated is like denying yourself, which is almost impossible to achieve.

She had no intention to break this bond, but she also had no intention to force Jiang Hao to accept it either. She would let him decide at his own pace.

She looked at Fenglai after they reached the spirit field.

"Never enter this field, or you will be trapped inside the barrier of space and time. You might be shredded to pieces before I have a chance to protect you."

Fenglai looked like a pup while nodding. He didn’t want to die, so he would remember this no matter what.

"Good. Other than that, you can rest anywhere you like, just don’t enter the house. I cultivate there."

He nodded again.

...

Jiang Hao and Huan Caiyi explored more. Days passed by. They encountered some spirit beasts which came out of the territory to hunt, and since there was no reason to finish these battles quickly, Huan Caiyi took care of them in the normal way.

It was their luck that they hadn’t met any Grade 7 spirit beasts yet, as they weren’t hiding themselves much while travelling through teleportation to cover more ground.

They even got some more spirit herbs too. After fifteen days, they found another territory. It was even bigger than the previous one. Looting the cave abode of this territory lord might not be possible, but hunting spirit beasts would be even easier.

The bigger the territory, the easier it was for them to move inside it. Jiang Hao’s job was to make sure that they wouldn’t get found using his instincts, and if they found a good target that was isolated, then Huan Caiyi would take care of them.

Of course, they only targeted spirit beasts which were till the late stage of Grade 6, so that their fight would not create much ruckus.

They stayed in this territory for about ten days, hunting as much as they could, but left once some beasts became aware, as it wouldn’t remain hidden for long. This time, they came back to their mountain where they lived. Their hunting and collecting of resources was far more than just successful.

Zhi Hui and Ming Yue still hadn’t arrived, but they were definitely fine, or they would have used the talisman to notify them. They would definitely come in five days, as it was agreed upon.

Huan Caiyi took out all the spirit beasts she had killed till now and took out their blood cores while separating enough meat for them to eat along with Meiying.

After she was done, they went to the treasury she had created on this mountain. Right now, it was totally empty.

"Let’s see how much we really got."

After entering the treasury, Huan Caiyi took out all the spirit herbs and blood cores. It wasn’t too much, but it was far more than what they would have gotten anywhere else in the Eastern Region in a month.

Jiang Hao went a little farther and started taking out all the spirit herbs, blood cores, and spirit stones which he had gotten from looting the territory lord.

Huan Caiyi was surprised when she saw the amount of spirit herbs, but since it was within her expectations, it didn’t shock her. When he took out the blood cores, she was still the same, but seeing the amount, she was quite happy inwardly.

But when he took out the spirit stones, she was stunned. Forget the amount—it was quite large—it was more than what Jiang Hao had brought after the auction.

The reason she was stunned was because spirit beasts don’t use arrays or spirit stones for purchases. So what was the point of collecting so many spirit stones? There was only one reason it was able to collect so many spirit stones: there was definitely a spirit mine nearby, which it must have found.
