Heaven Refining physique-Chapter 141: You Know the reason right?
Chapter 141: You Know the reason right?
Zi Xuan didn’t answer as he seemed to be in deep thought. He knew that this woman was lying. He knew her name from before, Ya Ting, top of the Core Formation realm in Azure Sky Sect, just like him in Mountain Sword Sect.
It had already been two years since he last saw Jiang Hao. He knew some information that not many of his fellow disciples knew, simply because he had asked his grandfather after his enmity with Jiang Hao began.
After getting the answer, he knew one thing, it wasn’t because of any array that Jiang Hao was strong, but because of a special constitution.
So it was a given fact that this woman was just lying to attract others to act as decoys in the fight for them.
His grandfather and sect master had warned every single disciple not to get involved in any kind of act against Jiang Hao and Ming Yue.
In the past, he wanted to kill Jiang Hao, but right now he just hoped that Jiang Hao had forgotten the enmity between them.
He was scared, no doubt. He hadn’t advanced to the Soul Sea realm in these two years, even though he could have done so easily before. He chose to enter this inheritance site at the peak of Core Formation realm instead of early Soul Sea realm.
Many cultivators had done this too. It was the only way they could survive more easily and gain more opportunities inside the inheritance site.
When he heard the question from the disciple, he looked towards him and said,
"Didn’t Sect Master and Supreme Elder state clearly to stay out of any matter regarding Jiang Hao and Ming Yue?"
"Ah... yes, Senior Brother."
"Then why the hell do you even ask me about it?"
"W-well... I thought you might want reveng—"
"Shut up. Never speak those words again."
Zi Xuan glared at the disciple menacingly, which scared the life out of the disciple.
"I understand, Senior Brother."
Zi Xuan calmed himself and began to leave.
"Let’s leave." There was no point in standing here if they didn’t want to join this group of people.
But since they were the biggest group among everyone, it didn’t go unnoticed.
Ya Ting asked immediately,
"What happened, fellow friends of Mountain Sword Sect? Are you not going to participate?"
When others heard this, they also looked toward the moving group. The cultivators of Blazing Valley snickered. Their strongest disciple couldn’t hold back and said while looking at Zi Xuan,
"How can they? Weren’t those four traitors from their sect? In fact, I think Mountain Sword Sect is in cohoots with them."
Zi Xuan gritted his teeth but didn’t show it openly. He also stopped others from speaking.
His grandfather had made it clear, no matter what others said, don’t accept or reject anything.
Some cultivators from these top two sects had visited Mountain Sword Sect to question them. They had come with the intent to make trouble, but all left quietly without creating any fuss. It was surprising to see that.
Blazing Valley had demanded action after they saw nothing happen to Mountain Sword Sect. They thought the top sects were forgiving them too easily.
But even after their demand, no major announcement was made by those two sects. In fact, they said Mountain Sword Sect wasn’t involved.
So in the end, no harm was done to Mountain Sword Sect. Blazing Valley cultivators were definitely unhappy but couldn’t do anything, so they just kept calling Mountain Sword Sect traitors.
It had already become a norm in the Eastern Region. His grandfather and sect master didn’t seem worried. They had said to control themselves and not accept anything, or they would be punished.
Zi Xuan looked toward Ya Ting and said,
"You know why we are not participating, don’t you? Or do you really want me to tell you the reason?"
Here they were, the biggest group. They weren’t afraid of these two sects. If the situation worsened, he could just stay in this city. He didn’t reply further because he was sick of it.
They had already come to Mountain Sword Sect and weren’t able to do anything, so there was nothing to worry about making an enemy of Ya Ting.
He wasn’t on Jiang Hao’s side. In fact, he would be happy if Jiang Hao got killed. He still remembered his humiliation.
Ya Ting looked deeply toward Zi Xuan but didn’t say anything. She didn’t know if this guy knew about physiques, but it was better not to push him to spill something which would be detrimental to her plan to recruit people easily.
In fact, they already knew something was wrong with Mountain Sword Sect, so they had already discussed beforehand how to handle this situation.
Zi Xuan snickered and left with the disciples of Mountain Sword Sect.
"Senior Ya, what was that guy trying to say?"
Although Zi Xuan hadn’t stated anything clearly, saying that much was enough to make others curious. Although everyone in the Eastern Region thought Mountain Sword Sect were traitors, since they hadn’t been punished, not even by these two sects, then there was clearly something they didn’t know yet.
Ya Ting sighed internally and gave the logical explanation they had decided upon earlier. She wanted these people to trust her for their plan to work.
"Nothing much. You already know how we haven’t done anything to Mountain Sword Sect. You might be surprised why we spared them, right?
"The real reason is because Mountain Sword Sect elders and sect masters begged us for forgiveness, saying they didn’t know that the devil sisters were traitors when they joined them.
"In the end, some fault also lies with us because we released this information late, so we had no choice but to forgive them. But we took a promise from them that they wouldn’t involve themselves when we bring those traitors to justice.
"The reason we released the news late was because we thought we would be enough to end those traitors. If that had happened, then this matter would have ended peacefully without involving others or disturbing anyone.
"But who would have thought those traitors would be supported by spirit beasts to such an extent? Because of this, we had no choice but to hunt them inside this inheritance site.
"So here we are. That might be the reason these guys don’t want to participate in this."
Everything she spoke was a lie. She didn’t know why Mountain Sword Sect was spared from any kind of punishment, but she thought that would be enough to remove any doubts these people had towards her.
She even perfectly took a little blame on themselves for not releasing the information earlier to make it more believable.
As expected, after listening to her, most—if not all—nodded in acknowledgement.
She sighed inwardly for the completion of the first stage, while hoping the others succeeded too.
"Then please go to the next city. Please refrain from having conflict among ourselves. We are all in this together after all. I have to go to the another city to ask their help too, so we all will meet again on the 15th. Farewell for the time being, and good luck on your journey. Some of our cultivators will go with you too."
She didn’t say they would guide them like leaders. In the end, they would make them leaders themselves, so no need to explicitly mention it.
She left for the next city to complete the process...
.....
Similar scenes were happening in the cities where Yan Chen and Zhe Yan were, leaving Mountain Sword Sect aside. Most of the cultivators joined these sects in bringing justice.
It wasn’t because they felt any responsibility toward humanity. It was simply because the rewards were hard to ignore. Greed is one of the most fundamental pillars of humanity.
As long as the rewards were enticing enough, no one would care about right or wrong. So manipulating others was very easy for great powers like these two sects.
In the end, they were able to recruit almost all the cultivators from the third level, except the cultivators of Mountain Sword Sect.
After completing their recruitment, they came back to their previous city and met again to inform each other.
"Except Mountain Sword Sect, we have everyone else’s support. I think this will be enough. No matter how strong they are, in the end they are still only at the Core Formation realm. I am quite confident we will be able to hunt them easily.
Also, since we haven’t seen them in any of these cities, this means there is a chance they already left for the Main City. Looks like we won’t be able to create any traps for them," Ya Ting said.
"It’s fine. We have enough people to compensate for that. What I’m really worried about is if they enter the Main City and don’t come out to face us. We won’t be able to attack them," Zhe Han responded.
"Don’t worry. I have a way to provoke Ming Yue. She would definitely fall for it. And if she comes out, then there is a chance that Jiang Hao would follow her," Ya Ting assured him.
"Looks like we are all set to move. Then I think it will be better to move now. Let’s use our talismans to reach the Main City first. If they haven’t arrived, then we can create traps too," Yan Chen spoke.
They had already gathered enough teleportation talismans to at least take twenty cultivators from each sect to the Main City as fast as possible.
