Heaven Refining physique-Chapter 234: Worth It?
Jiang Hao walked down the mountain calmly. Slowly, he arrived at the area where cultivators began appearing; they were only lower realm cultivators.
When these cultivators saw Jiang Hao, their eyes widened as Jiang Hao wasn't wearing any kind of mask, but before they could even speak a word, a sphere would consume them and those who were near them.
It was these low-level cultivators who were scattering his posters in the city.
Slowly and silently the annihilation of the clan began. Jiang Hao only left very young cultivators and women, and their screams alerted many cultivators.
No matter who arrived, they all were killed instantly, and those who saw this from afar didn't dare to move. Instead, they immediately went towards the main pavilion, trying to alert their Ancestor and Elders.
Jiang Hao maintained his slow yet steady walk. He only killed those who were near him.
...
"ANCESTOR! ANCESTOR!" One of the Nascent Soul Realm cultivators arrived in the main hall of the pavilion where the ancestor of the clan was discussing some matters with his sister and some other elders.
Everyone in the hall frowned, "What happened? Why are you screaming like that?"
"J-Jiang Hao..."
"Hm… Jiang Hao? Did you find him?"
Everyone's eyes lit up. Even the old man sitting on the main seat looked surprised.
The cultivator shook his head immediately, "N-No…"
Hearing "no" was enough to make everyone frown.
"Then why the hell did you mention Jiang Hao?" one of the elders spoke furiously.
The cultivator gulped his spit in nervousness, "H-He found us. Right now Jiang Hao is massacring everyone in the clan."
Hearing that stunned all the elders present in the hall. They all immediately opened their spirit sense and when they did, their eyes widened in horror.
The old man immediately vanished from the seat, and others followed him.
...
Outside, Jiang Hao felt the spirit senses, but he acted oblivious and kept walking deeper into the territory of the Lu Clan.
He was already on the verge of entering the main area of the clan, which was covered in a Grade 7 array, but before he could reach it, an old man arrived in front of him, and shortly after, four more cultivators joined behind him.
"Jiang Hao, how amusing. We were searching for you everywhere, and to my utter surprise you came to us on your own feet," the old man spoke with a calm voice. He was confident in his strength to face Jiang Hao.
Jiang Hao nodded while approaching the array, "Indeed, I didn't like the portrait you guys made, so I came to give you a good reference so you can work on it properly next time."
The old man snickered when he heard that, "Don't worry about it, the moment you come in front of me, the search for you is over."
Jiang Hao reached the array and nodded, "I see. Well then, I will enter inside to meet you…"
Just as he finished speaking, ten nihility spheres formed around him and struck the same location on the array.
CRACKKK!
The spheres created a hole of thirty meters in the array, and because of this the whole array cracked like a thin layer of ice.
This made the eyes of everyone flinch. Breaking a Grade 7 array was impossible for a Void Reversion Realm cultivator… but he made it seem so easy.
Even the ancestor trembled inside. This was terrifying. He had to make sure not to take those black orbs head-on.
Jiang Hao, on the other hand, had to be subtle in the use of nihility spheres. He wasn't in the Inheritance Site where his spirit qi was replenished infinitely.
Although he had a large amount of spirit qi at his realm, his nihility spheres had grown stronger and consumed a considerable amount of spirit qi too.
So the best way was to use them slowly, just like how he was doing while walking. It worked better that way, as some of his spirit qi was replenished.
Nonetheless, he still had a lot of spirit qi to destroy this clan. He just wanted enough to outlast this Heavenly King Realm cultivator.
Just as Jiang Hao was thinking this, he felt danger. It was enough for him not to disregard it. He saw the old man creating a flaming spear, and just when the spear moved towards him, he disappeared.
This widened the eyes of everyone again. Jiang Hao had teleported right in front of them and yet he hadn't used any kind of talisman… didn't this mean that he could teleport without one?
They all looked at each other; they could see fear in each other's eyes…
"Stop him!" the old man spoke hurriedly as he saw a few black orbs consuming cultivators who were standing behind them, thinking their ancestor would definitely be able to stop Jiang Hao.
The others immediately came to their senses, but they didn't know how they could stop this monster, and as expected, before any of them could even think what to do, Jiang Hao disappeared again and appeared somewhere else, reaping the lives of nearby cultivators.
Only the old man moved to stop him, but even he wasn't fast enough to reach Jiang Hao before he teleported, and slowly, in front of the elders and the ancestor, the Lu Clan was destroyed, only leaving children and women alive who weren't higher realm cultivators.
All their main pavilions were gone; only a few residences were left, and this was also because they were filled with weak women and children.
After completing his task, Jiang Hao looked at the four elders and the old man, "Was it worth it?" Jiang Hao then shook his head himself, "I don't think so."
Jiang Hao knew that they had to pick a side, but there was one other way—it was to disband their clan and live like normal cultivators. He doubted Azure Sky Sect or Ethereal Cloud Sanctuary would have enough cultivators to hunt everyone down.
