Chapter 71: Leaving The Forbidden Zone

They had already fought many times in the past 11 months, so they were quite familiar with their style; Jiang Hao still loved to use his fist, as his understanding of the sword was still minimal.

Also, his primal essence works with the fist only. The sword will be refined instantly if he holds it. When they both became ready, they nodded to each other and moved at the same time.

They appeared in front of each other in the blink of an eye.

Jiang Hao stepped forward, his fist shimmering with a deep, primal essence. As he struck, the air around his knuckles distorted, carrying the weight of his refining power. Ming Yue met his approach with a calm gaze, a thick layer of ice forming over her arms and torso just in time to absorb the impact. The armor cracked and refined upon contact, but it bought her the moment she needed to slip to the side, her sword flashing toward his ribs.

Jiang Hao redirected his fist toward her weapon. The moment his knuckles grazed the blade, a faint sizzling sound echoed—the ice on the sword’s surface withering under his touch. Ming Yue reacted instantly, withdrawing her weapon before his essence could spread further, her free hand forming another layer of frost to reinforce her defenses.

Not giving her space, Jiang Hao launched another punch, each movement precise and forceful. His strikes weren’t wild but carried a heavy inevitability, forcing her to stay on the move. She weaved through his offense, her footwork light as she countered with swift, controlled slashes, aiming for the openings left in his aggressive approach.

A single misstep—her balance wavered for the briefest moment. Jiang Hao’s fist closed in, brushing against her shoulder. The ice armor shattered instantly, a numbing chill racing through her arm before she managed to retreat. Without pause, she reformed her protection, her breath steady despite the clear danger his fists posed.

The spar continued, Jiang Hao pressing forward with relentless force, Ming Yue responding with cold precision, their movements flowing like an unspoken conversation—one of raw strength against adaptability.

After fighting for at least half an hour, they separated.

They looked at each other and smiled; there were some bruises on their bodies, which didn’t take much time to heal.

After their spar, Huan Caiyi and Zhi Hui came to them.

"Since you guys have become core formation realm, it’s time you guys learn to fly."

They both nodded. Jiang Hao had already felt that some kind of restriction was getting lifted when he broke through; he had a feeling that he could easily overpower the attraction force of this world now.

"It is not difficult; sit down and focus on your surroundings."

They did what she said.

"You must be feeling a strange force attracting you towards the earth; just use your qi to cover your whole body. The more qi you use, the lighter you will feel; your qi helps you remove this restriction.

The reason you can only fly in the core formation realm is because you now have enough qi to do so and heavenly laws don’t restrict you anymore"

Jiang Hao nodded to himself now; the amount of qi he had right now was about 20 times what he had in the foundation establishment realm. If he uses teleportation with his ring using all his qi, he can easily move 1000 miles.

As he concentrated his qi on his body, he felt lighter and lighter; eventually, he began to float.

"Now, using your qi, you can even move wherever you want, although it requires a little practice, so just try to balance yourself while floating today."

It didn’t take long before they were able to balance themselves.

Huan Caiyi nodded and called them back.

"Are you sure you want to do it?"

Huan Caiyi asked Jiang Hao.

"Senior, I will definitely be fine."

"Very well then."

She took out a storage bag and gave it to him.

These bags contain Grade 5 and Grade 6 pills. Jiang Hao knew how much there was; after all, they made them together; he refined the spirit herbs while she made pills out of them.

There was a total of 100 pills with 60 Grade 5 pills of peak stage and 40 Grade 6 pills of peak stage.

The reason she handed it to him was that today he was going to another border city of Kingdom Zhu, which was a little smaller than the previous one.

He was going there to earn spirit stones. The array that they had drawn on the mountain uses a lot of spirit stones. Also, he need spirit stones for cultivation too.

He had refined almost all of the fire spirit herbs that he took from Huan Caiyi; there were some higher-grade ones left, but he would refine them eventually.

This city isn’t far from the previous city, about 200 miles away from it.

There was only a single Sky Pavilion branch present in the Zhu Kingdom, so these cities don’t have them, but the local treasure house, which is famous in the Eastern region, is still present there.

His goal is to auction these pills, and no doubt, if he is successful, then the amount of spirit stones he would receive is unimaginable.

It might look like spirit pills of this level were worthless because of the number he had right now, but it’s totally the opposite.

They were only able to refine this much because of the resources they had along with his Primal Essence skill.

His primal essence skill can refine spirit herbs to 100 percent purity, and with Huan Caiyi’s skills, they had above a 95 percent success rate. Not to mention, every single pill is the perfect tier; due to 100 percent purity, it was easy to achieve.

Pills are basically divided by how pure they are, as cultivators are only able to absorb the pure parts, not the residual.

For every grade, a pill is divided into different tiers.

Lower tier (less than 60%), Normal tier (60% to 79%), Higher tier (80% to 89%), Supreme tier (90% to 99%), Perfect tier (100%)

There were also some pills which are above the perfect tier; they were pills with patterns, and every single pattern increased the spirit qi quantity in the pills by 10 percent.

These types of pills can only be refined by reaching the Grandmaster level and following a Dao, which helps in the refining of pills.

A perfect-tier Grade 5 or 6 pill was almost impossible to find in the Eastern region; that’s why it might become dangerous for anyone to sell them easily.

But since Huan Caiyi had made an acquaintance while knowing that this day would come, it won’t be a problem for him.

Huan Caiyi herself wanted to go there, but he suggested for himself to go there as it will be a lot safer for him with his ring.

Huan Caiyi knew about this and agreed, because those two sects might use her and Zhi Hui’s names to search for them, so it will be better if she stays here and lets them be at ease.

Jiang Hao got ready for departure.

"Even if you use minor teleportation, you will only move 1000 miles, so you will still be in danger from the high-level spirit beasts of the Dark Forest, so don’t waste your time to enjoy the view and instantly teleport again."

"I will remember that, Senior."

Huan Caiyi sighed and ruffled his hair.

"Take care and come back as fast as possible as you can. Although I am acquainted with her and she is trustworthy, it is still better to be cautious, so if you feel even a little danger, then just leave."

Jiang Hao sighed when his head got ruffled; now that she had stopped beating them, she always ruffles their heads. Well, he doesn’t mind it though.

He bowed towards her and said.

"Of course, Senior, now I will leave."

"Take care, Junior Brother."

Ming Yue looked reluctant as she also wanted to go, but others stopped her, saying that she would become a burden; although it was only Huan Caiyi and Zhi Hui who said that, Jiang Hao also agreed because of her mischievous nature.

When she saw them all agree on that point, she became heartbroken and didn’t cook any food for them for this whole month, while cooking herself the most delicious food she could.

And it really was devastating for them.

Jiang Hao looked towards the area of the Dark Forest and disappeared. He knew in which direction he had to go to reach the city, as Huan Caiyi had already told him.

When he appeared, he was in midair; since he didn’t sense any danger, he relaxed himself in the air and looked around.

He was above the Dark Forest right now; as he was looking around, he finally sensed immense danger. He immediately activated his ring to teleport while looking toward the direction where he sensed the danger from.

He didn’t see anything; this means that the spirit beast is coming towards him through the void itself; only Grade 6 spirit beasts can do that.

It doesn’t matter though, as it didn’t even take a fraction of time before he disappeared too, and his teleportation is different from the movement in the void; it is instant movement.

Once he appeared again, he met with two spirit beasts; both were entangled with each other. Instead of danger, Jiang Hao felt awkward because instead of fighting, they were mating.

"Cough....sorry for the disturbance, please continue," he disappeared.

It was even more awkward as both of these spirit beasts weren’t from the same species.
