Heavenly Dragon Doctor Son-in-Law-Chapter 150 - 151: How about 10,000,000 to Make You Roll Out of the Tang Family!
"One hundred thousand yuan isn’t a small amount. For a cripple like you, it must have taken years to save up, right?" Tang Yuxiang sneered, tossing a stack of cash at Qin Long’s feet. It was clear he had meticulously prepared for this moment, intending to utterly humiliate Qin Long with money. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Tang Chuchu chimed in, her expression filled with cold disdain, "That’s right. How about I give you a personal gift of another hundred thousand? A cripple like you couldn’t earn this much in ten lifetimes!"
"Two hundred thousand," Qin Long said with a helpless laugh. It seemed the siblings had been looking forward to this scene for a long time. Is insulting people with money all the Tang Family knows how to do?
"What, still not satisfied?" Tang Yuxiang slammed his hand on the table and shot to his feet. "Qin Long, you shouldn’t be so greedy! The Tang Family hasn’t even held you accountable for mortgaging the ancestral home, and now we’re being generous. You should be on your knees thanking us, you understand?"
"Calm down, calm down!" Wang Ming burst into laughter and tossed a black leather bag over. "I’m so poor that all I have left is money. There’s five hundred thousand in cash in here. Just vanish from Xuewu’s side, and it’s all yours." He stood there, condescending and impossibly arrogant.
Murmurs rippled through the onlookers. "Young Master Wang is so generous!" "That’s seven hundred thousand! Only a fool wouldn’t know what to do." "He probably couldn’t earn that much in a hundred lifetimes!" "Did the amount scare him into a stupor?"
Seven hundred thousand yuan was a negligible sum to the Tang and Wang families. For an ordinary person who might only earn twenty or thirty thousand a year, however, it was more than thirty years’ worth of income. Qin Long was a pauper with nothing to his name; surely, he would be overjoyed.
"Alright, Qin Long, just agree, and you can take all this money," Wang Ming said, his expression stern and superior. "What do you say?"
Qin Long used his cane to hook the black leather bag and lift it. Seeing this, everyone sneered. He acted so arrogant a moment ago, but in the end, he’s still tempted by money.
But then, Qin Long tipped the bag over, pouring all the cash out at his own feet.
"Does having money mean you can look down on everyone?" Qin Long asked, giving Wang Ming a cold glance.
"Yes! With money, you have everything!" Wang Ming’s tone was domineering, his face a mask of pride. "I’m going to use this half-million to smash you out of the Tang Family. You got a problem with that?"
"In that case, how about I use ten million to make you stop harassing Tang Xuewu ever again?"
At Qin Long’s words, Wang Ming gaped in stunned silence. Is this guy an idiot?
"Qin Long, stop bluffing," Wang Ming said, looking at him with suspicion.
CLAP! CLAP!
Qin Long clapped his hands sharply and shouted toward the mansion’s gate, "Zi’er, bring the cars over!"
Before his words had even faded, three black Land Rovers reversed into the courtyard.
BANG!
They smashed right through the Tang Family’s main gate. After receiving Qin Long’s voice message, Zi’er had immediately gone to withdraw the cash. Now, she was followed by four athletically built women, all ready to open the vehicles’ trunks at a moment’s notice.
Once again, everyone stood frozen in shock.
Zi’er looked to Qin Long for a signal, then nodded to the women behind her. Everyone held their breath, their eyes wide with anticipation. What on earth is Qin Long planning?
"Open them."
Instantly, all eyes were fixed on the vehicles.
CLICK!
The trunks of five Land Rovers—as two more had pulled in—swung open simultaneously. Inside, they were filled to the brim with neat stacks of hundred-yuan bills! This was the kind of wealth countless people strived for their entire lives, and now it was laid out right before them in a sea of red.
This was insane! The members of the Tang Family were practically seeing stars.
"Two million per trunk," Zi’er announced, her cold gaze sweeping over the crowd. "A total of ten million!"
The Tang Family members descended into a frenzy. Ten million! Ten million in cash! Even the Tang Family would need at least half a day to prepare such a sum. Yet Qin Long had withdrawn it with a single voice message! How could he, a disabled man leaning on a cane, possibly have so much money?
Meanwhile, Qin Long calmly sipped the tea Zi’er had brought him, a mocking smile playing on his lips. "Didn’t you all say that money is everything? Well then, I’d like to ask: how much for the entire Tang Family? I’ll buy it."
He then casually lit the 700,000 yuan at his feet on fire.
WHOOSH!
Watching the seven hundred thousand go up in smoke, the Tang Family members were jolted back to their senses. They stared, dumbfounded, at the mountains of cash in the five Land Rover trunks behind Qin Long.
Zhang Meilan’s heart was pounding in her chest. She remembered Qin Long using a gold card when he bought the cars for her and Xuewu, though she never knew how much the Rolls-Royce cost. All she knew was that everything was arranged perfectly the moment they arrived. But seeing a credit card was completely different from seeing a mountain of cash. Bank account numbers were intangible, but this was real, physical wealth right before their eyes. The shock was overwhelming for everyone.
They simply couldn’t believe it. How could Qin Long, a cripple, get his hands on ten million yuan? They figured pigs would fly before that happened.
"Is this money fake? Are they just props?" Tang Yuxiang demanded, his face a mask of disbelief. "If we’re just showing off, I can come up with a billion!"
"Feel free to inspect it," Zi’er said, gesturing invitingly toward one of the open trunks.
Qin Long, for his part, looked completely unconcerned.
"I’ll do just that!" Tang Yuxiang strode forward and barked at his assistant to bring a currency-detecting pen.
The pen was quickly brought over. As he scanned the bills, his expression grew uglier and uglier, and a cold sweat beaded on his forehead. All the cash was real. After quickly checking all five trunks, he sucked in a sharp breath.
They weren’t props. It was all damn real!
Staring at the ten million yuan, Tang Yuxiang stood frozen on the spot, his eyes wide with shock. Nearby, Wang Ming was equally stunned by the scene, his heart pounding in his chest.
"Yuxiang, are you sure it’s not fake?" Tang Chuchu hurried over, her brow tightly furrowed.
"It’s not props," Tang Yuxiang managed to say. "It’s genuine currency!" He wanted to lie, but the evidence from the detector pen made it impossible.
Hearing this, the onlookers were once again struck dumb. Zi’er waved her hand, and her four guards moved to stand behind Qin Long, their postures ramrod straight, like drawn swords.
In that moment, Qin Long seemed like the true master of the Tang Family courtyard. His cold gaze swept over everyone. "Didn’t you say money can get you anything? I’m now spending ten million to have Wang Ming get the hell out of my sight. And I’ll spend another ten million to buy Xuewu’s freedom to marry whomever she chooses. How about it?"
His face was filled with mockery as he stared down the members of the Tang Family. His voice was powerful and incomparably domineering, as if this vast sum of money was nothing but dirt to him.
"I guess I’m so poor all I have left is money," Qin Long said nonchalantly, rubbing his hands together and taking another sip of fragrant tea.
The Tang Family members all lowered their heads, silent, many still trying to process what had happened. Wang Ming’s face was ashen. He had come today to utterly humiliate Qin Long with money and drive him from the Tang Family, getting his revenge for the beating he’d received. But now, in a stunning reversal, Qin Long had seized complete control. Wang Ming felt a profound sense of humiliation, clenching his fists so tightly his knuckles turned white, his rage simmering with no outlet.
