Heavenly Dragon Doctor Son-in-Law-Chapter 181 - 182: Li Ge Who Looks Down on Others!
"What place did you pick?" Tang Xuewu exclaimed, her face a picture of shock. "Do you have any idea how expensive the houses are here?"
Tang Yuehua had clearly stated that she wanted to find a very ordinary, second-hand courtyard home near a school and a subway station. After all, she only had five million yuan.
But Qin Long had brought them here, to the Jade Dragon District—an area known for its luxurious, independent courtyard homes. The people here were either rich or noble. Any random unit cost close to ten million yuan, and even the smallest one was over six million. This was simply beyond Tang Yuehua’s means.
"Xuewu and Aunt Yuehua, I made careful inquiries," Qin Long explained. "This place is very close to the Experimental Primary School, and it’s also in the school zone for a top high school. When the time comes, Xuexue will be able to continue her education seamlessly. Otherwise, I would’ve taken you directly to see the standalone villas with their own gardens at the back."
Leaning on his crutch, Qin Long smiled and headed inside.
"Brother Long, let me help you," Xuexue said. She had no idea what any of this meant, only that what Qin Long said sounded very impressive.
"A-Long, you..." Tang Xuewu and Tang Yuehua felt helpless but had no choice but to follow. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
"Sir, ladies, welcome to the Jade Dragon District. Please, this way." Two tall saleswomen immediately walked out, smiling at Qin Long and his group.
The lobby, paved with golden floor tiles, looked extremely opulent. It was the first time Tang Xuewu and Tang Yuehua had been to such a high-end residential complex, and they both looked around in shock. A nearby saleswoman brought them premium tea, along with a high-end fruit drink for Xuexue.
"This is too..." Although Tang Yuehua was worldly, she was still shocked by the sheer luxury. A courtyard home here started at six million yuan, a price that made one want to flee.
The saleswomen who had been so polite earlier exchanged a few pleasantries, but after seeing their reactions, they walked away with disdain. As shrewd judges of character, they knew Qin Long couldn’t possibly afford a home here.
Despite Tang Xuewu and Tang Yuehua’s poise, they have the unmistakable look of people who haven’t seen much of the world. Such a reaction clearly stems from a lack of confidence—in short, it’s because they have no money. There’s no point in bothering with them.
"Xiao Wang, handle these guests for me. I have something to attend to," a fair-skinned, well-mannered male manager said to a younger colleague.
"Brother Li, this is your designated area. It wouldn’t be right..." the young man called Xiao Wang replied, looking surprised.
Brother Li was known for being a tough character. Since Qin Long’s group was in his territory, any commission from a sale would naturally be his.
"You’re new. Just consider it practice. If you make the sale, the commission is all yours," Brother Li said, waving his hand magnanimously before turning and hurrying away.
"Oh, okay, Brother Li." Xiao Wang then eagerly approached Qin Long’s group. "Good day, sir and ladies," he said respectfully. "My name is Wang Ping. What type of home are you looking for?"
Wang Ping sounded a little nervous; he was clearly a rookie, likely a recent college graduate.
"Xiao Wang, no need to be nervous," Qin Long said with a smile. "I’m looking for an independent courtyard, preferably close to a subway station and a hospital. It also needs to be fully furnished so I can move in immediately."
"W-we have... that," Wang Ping stammered, quickly handing a promotional brochure to Qin Long.
Qin Long passed the brochure to Tang Yuehua. "Aunt Yuehua, Xuewu, take a good look. If you like it, we’ll sign the contract, pay, and move right in."
At his words, the nearby sales managers all stared at Qin Long in astonishment. That’s outrageously bold. Could this cripple actually be rich?
"Qin Long, this..." Tang Yuehua stared in shock at the listings for courtyard homes, all priced at over five million yuan.
Seeing Tang Yuehua’s impoverished look, the surrounding saleswomen looked on with disdain. What a bunch of broke losers who’ve never seen the world. They’re probably just here to gawk before scurrying away. They’re definitely not buying.
But Wang Ping remained earnest, explaining everything to Qin Long’s group. Though he wasn’t very polished, he still managed to get all the main points across.
"Aunt Yuehua, what do you think?" Tang Xuewu asked, holding Xuexue’s hand and giving Tang Yuehua a puzzled look.
"The house is nice, but..." Tang Yuehua’s hand, clutching her bank card, grew slick with sweat.
The house is beautiful and the location is perfect, but I don’t have that much money! It’s over 80,000 yuan per square meter, and for a place over a hundred square meters, that’s more than eight million total. Even with a discount, it would still be over seven and a half million. Even with a mortgage, the down payment would be nearly three million. I can afford that, but with my salary of just a few thousand a month, I could never keep up with the monthly payments.
Tang Xuewu shook her head helplessly. It wasn’t a small sum; even as a project manager, she couldn’t just pull out several million yuan on a whim.
"In that case, let’s go take a look at the house first," Qin Long said slowly from the side.
Tang Yuehua looked conflicted. If they looked at a house they couldn’t afford, wouldn’t they just become a laughingstock?
Wang Ping, standing nearby, seemed to sense their hesitation but didn’t get upset. "Ladies, you can always look first and decide whether to buy later," he said gently. "You can’t make a final decision until you’ve actually seen the house, after all."
Wang Ping’s extremely gentle attitude eased Tang Yuehua’s mind considerably.
"Brother Li, could you get me the key card for Courtyard 13?" Wang Ping asked, turning to the manager with a smile. "I’m going to take the gentleman and ladies for a look."
"Xiao Wang, that house is worth nearly eight million yuan. Can they afford it? Why are you wasting your energy?" Brother Li retorted, slamming the key card on the table with a scornful look.
Seeing Brother Li’s attitude, anger flared on Tang Xuewu’s pretty face, but she forced herself to suppress it.
Qin Long’s expression turned icy when he saw this. He didn’t care what people said about him, but this Brother Li had just made Tang Xuewu angry.
"Mr. Qin, shall we go see the house now?" Wang Ping asked, looking embarrassed as he forced a smile.
"Wait. There’s no need for that," Qin Long said, his face darkening as he waved a hand to cut him off.
"Huh?" Wang Ping was completely baffled.
"What, finally realize you can’t afford it? Come to your senses?" Brother Li said with an air of superiority, savoring a cup of tea.
"I’ll take this one," Qin Long declared. "Let’s sign the contract and process the payment right now."
His words caused Brother Li, who was sipping his tea, to spit it out. The entire lobby instantly fell into dead silence.
What the hell was happening? A direct bank transfer for the full amount? We’ve seen people flex their wealth before, but never like this! And the guy didn’t even look rich. Otherwise, why would Brother Li have passed this off to Wang Ping, the recent graduate? He thought it was a complete waste of time, which is why he let the inexperienced rookie handle it. But now this guy, Qin Long, was about to pay for the entire house in full! What the hell!
Brother Li and the surrounding sales managers were all utterly shocked.
